I remember being 17 and having that old Corsa B 1.2 Premier and thinking....... wow, this sucks. "At least I've got a car" didn't stop the voice in my head. Many years on and far more V5s than I ever though have passed through my hands. It almost gives me some prespective.
When I had just learned to drive I would have given my right arm for something as well presented and with this many extras. Back in those days we had to be happy with a rev counter and spent time wishing we had electric windows!
Today a lot has changed in the car market. People demand better. This Adam does excel at what it was meant to do. Meet the demands of the same people that bought the Fiat 500 and Mini one. Except for one small thing. It is neither of these cars and doesn't really pull off the styling of either of them.
Vauxhall could have spent more time making it individual instead of copying the market leaders. Too many companies get this approach wrong and copy all the BAD things about a brand because they truly do not understand WHY it was successful.
The Adam is not as bad as you'd think from what I've said so far but it just feels a fraction too small.
Pros: Feels spacious from the front, reasonable performance, good spec
Cons: no space for rear passengers, almost no luggage capacity, feels unoriginal
