Grapevine Fire Department: Truck 1, Blocker 1, Responding!

Grapevine Fire Department Received a 911 call about a Major Accident on hwy 114, involving possibly 3-4 vehicles And a box truck. one person was originally reported injured, complaining of bleeding. X2 people were transported to Baylor hospital after a request for a second Ambulance. Unit list: Engine 2, Engine 3, Truck 1, Blocker 1, Medic 2, and Medic 5.

A blocker truck is usually an old engine, that has been outfitted with arrow boards. It's used on highway Accidents to prevent the the newer trucks and firefighters working the accident, from being struck. It was started by Irving fire then Dallas followed. The grapevine fire department made a blocker after our rear mount platform ladder was hit by an intoxicated driver and had to be in the shop for several months.
