The way the season went before this game alot of people myself included were content with the RG3 years being the best baylor could ever be. We had sucked for so long that it was like okay we got to taste winning at least we had fun. Then this game happened and baylor football was changed forever. epic win and Westboro Baptist was protesting outside. I will always remember going on the field at the end of the game. Lache was the best rb there ever was. 2012 was so fun and the Holiday bowl trip to San Diego was perfext.
That big run by Lache Seastrunk completely broke K State’s will to fight or even put up a decent comeback. I remember Baylor started partying after that play and the game wasn’t even other.
I was a freshman during this game in the student section. I remember vividly being right up to the K-State bench and starting a "No more heisman" chant at Collin Klein lmao. Good times. First time ever rushing a field but it wouldn't be my last at Baylor.
I have been a K-State fan since I was a kid and had noticed that Baylor was getting a lot more competitive in 2005. I think we lost to Baylor in 2006 and then again in 2010, 42-47 and at that point I realized we were going to struggle to beat this team going forward. So now in 2012 we are undefeated. However, I think my friends and I all knew we were going to lose. Everyone talked about their pass attack but it was their run scheme that was dangerous; like a power ISO or something? They had scored +60 @ WVU, 50 @ UT, they gave OU all they could handle. I was disappointed we lost but definitely not surprised. If you want an idea of what they could do on the ground watch their bowl game vs. N. Carolina in 2015.

KSU has always been a great matchup for baylor. Their philosophy of slowwwwww runnnnnn theeee ball was such an anti version of pur fast pace football. They would drain 8 minuts off the clock and score only for baylor to score in 30 seconds. We always whipped kansas state because of this
If only lache seastrunk finished out his career and not left for the NFL he definitely would have been a heisman candidate the next season Baylor’s offense only got better as the seasons went on.
I remember me being a young kid and watching this game. On top of this I remember on College Gameday some little kid gave a prediction and said Baylor would win. I scoffed at that, and I think it's safe to say after the dust settled my little K-State heart hit the floor. 2012 was the best shot we had at a title since 1998. While 1998 may have arguably been more heartbreaking, pretty much ending because of a singular fumble in the Big 12 Championship game, the 2012 game still irks me more. Maybe because I was actually alive to see my team get curbstomped? After that, 2014 was the last time K-State even had a remote possibility at a national title. Hopefully now with Chris Klieman we can get back to a spot where we're in the Top 10 and in some conversations for the New Year's Six in a few/several years like Snyder had done in his heyday. Maybe even choke a third opportunity at a National Championship lol.

Sic em. Awesome game! Seastrunks cross country TD and a stuffed 4th and goal. So many beautiful plays. Coach Phil must have been on cloud nine for the execution by the D all the way down.
This game was insane. This same week my favorite team the #2 Oregon Ducks played Stanford. I kept tabs on both games hoping KSU would lose and we could hop to #1. I was ecstatic when Baylor went up big but then Oregon lost too. Notre Dame went from #3 to #1 the next week. Oregon went on to smoke Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl (the 1 point safety game).
