      @@tarjanxxx Not really. Because we are keeping buds in detergent water only for few minutes. After that we have to wash it with clean water

      Why are you using rice husk ?we are using coir pith..is there specialisation for burnt rice husk in the media..

      You can eat the center (stem). Just cut it in thin slices and leave in water to take away the bitterness. It's kind of like potato, good with rice. The flowers can be eaten in a similar way. There are videos about it.

    Very helpful I will try this. I'm curious, will the plant vigor decrease over time? I know with mushroom culture eventually the lineage will grow tired and need to be replaced with new stock.

    Tissue culture has many advantages..anti virus..grow fast..can plant in large numbers

      * Disadvantages of tissue culture :
      * Availability, therefore ( dependence ) of when & if you can get it.
      * Also you have to buy a minimum quality...usually 60 minimum.
      * Adaptability : tissue culture plants take a long time to adapt to outside environment.
      * Better to rely on yourself and not on labs which isn't natural to begin with.

Like how they created cavendish banana when original plant was a dwarf banana plant.
