And here I sit waiting for rain to finish the bottoms. You should have brought the muddy planter down here and planted a couple hundred acres of dried out clods. There wouldn’t be any mud left on it then. It’s amazing at how fast we go from mud to dried out and sit waiting for rain. It’s my fault for not being done yet, just didn’t have enough hands when it did get fit to work dirt. When it was time to go to the bottoms, the wheat was more than ready to cut. Maybe you should have some wheat in the mix. Lol
We are in southwest iowa and got everything in early, been getting good rains. We are setting up for either a good crop or a nice wind to blow everything flat
@onehappyfarmer3461 we got another 9 tenths last night. Had an inch on some fields sunday night. Need to spray beans but it's either been too windy or too wet
@cjcoughlin5041 the later corn here looks best even though it was mudded in. Alot of really late beans just coming up are gonna have a hard time making average yields I would guess
I think you need something "stiffer" than beer....liquor gets ya quicker. We are real hot this week...now I know how you guys feel all summer...we are mid 90's all week and heat index up over 100
I replanted beans one year on June 29th, they went 65bpa. I have replanted corn as late as the 15th of June, yielded right at 200. I dont get to worried about it anymore..
Wow. I guess depends on how the rest of the year goes but stuff is really behind this year around here. Gonna be more prevent plant than the markets are anticipating I would say. Some places northwest of me have had over 29 inches of rain since april. We've had a little over 20
Yup it's gonna be an interesting year again. It seems like the drought keeps moving east a little more every year. Watching the radar, we get rain and by the time it gets 2/3 across the state it falls apart
Now stop you know we’re going to have record crops. Just ask the USDA 🤦♂️

Oh wow. I’m really sorry watching this 😕 Wishing conditions would change for you.
Oh we all have our turn. If it was an easy sure thing everyone would want to do it. Hope everything is looking good your way
It's amazing,we can get better seed fertilizer and weed control but it still all depends on mother nature
Have you washed away? seen today a lot of your area was under water and towns were being evacuated.
Not yet but in areas it's a mess. I had about 7 inches in 48 hours
Perhaps, we should restore some of those potholes? Programs for those aren’t bad, I have part of my farm in it, got tired of the battles.
For the most part alot of the areas that had to be replanted are areas that ive never replanted before. Just too much rain

Yup haha. Humidity at those temps makes you sweat pretty good. Do you get much wind there? The wind has been ridiculous the last few days here
@@iafarmeryes we get our fair share of wind around here…but it’s been nice having it bc we’ve been baling hay.

I'm dry now an corns twisted. Wish I could get some to help you out. We could average it out I think to help us both. God bless

P.S.
I am praying for you and your family. . .
Thank you
Just quit as much as u complain
Well I apologize for wasting your time watching. I just show what I'm dealing with whether good or bad
