Great flight, I did my PPL training and checkride at OKV in that plane that was your traffic coming into Winchester (Cessna 57E)! Now I'm a man with a Mooney as well, looking forward to watching more of your videos
I just came across these videos. Some of the best aviation videos I've seen. I'm from Wyoming so really enjoy seeing the Colorado flights as I know the area. Go to Cortez sometime! Thank you!
Great question Zachary, I don't really know... I filed beginning from a RNAV waypoint just south of the VZ bridge - I believe it was TICKL. For some reason Newark tower couldn't find it. In hindsight I should have filed departing from KEWR. That would have guaranteed I could pick it up.
Great video but more footage from the belly cam would be appreciated! If you're snapping pics with your phone, we want to see what you're looking at too!
The photo snapped from the phone is the video thumbnail. I try to strike a balance between inside and outside shots. I'll see if I can sneak more belly shots in in the future
Fantastic video! I hope to be able to fly the SFRA Skyline route someday. Question: because you were at 1500 - 2000 FT, cleared through the Class Bravo, and under positive control, did that not require you to make the mandatory reporting point calls along the river? If you were at 1300 ft or lower, is that when you make the calls? Thanks!
Austin, that's pretty close. There are actually two defined transition routes: the SKYLINE ROUTE, and the HUDSON RIVER EXCLUSION zone. The former begins at or above 1,300. The latter runs surface to 1,299. You have to make the reporting calls in the exclusion zone. Chris Kroeker, it can't be done. If you're looking for a good time, suggest you turn it into a drinking game. Good luck making it all the way through one of my videos...

I've been on a bit of a "Man and his Mooney" binge lately. I'll try not to comment on every video, but this was another good one!
Sweet! keep it up ;)
Beautiful flight.
Many thanks Bob!

Thank you!
Thanks Shea. I’ll try to get a video of Southwest Colorado out sometime. I appreciate the kind words.
Beautiful flight! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Ian. You're very welcome.
Thank you for taking us along!
My pleasure Tim
Nice touchdown, thanks for another great ride along!
You bet! Thanks Peter.
Just great! Thank you -
Thank you Steini, I really appreciate your continued support!
Another absolutely amazing video. I plan to do the Hudson Vfr route after my checkride
Thanks Tevin! Best of luck for your continued flying and upcoming checkride.
How does this channel not have more views and subs? Mega quality editing and content. Keep these coming!
Much appreciated. Will do!
Great video!
Thanks Finch Road Farms!
Great video.
Thanks Mark, Glad you enjoyed it
You made it look easy. I’d have been stressed just thinking about the dense traffic and all those handoffs. [‘62 M20C N6218U]
Thanks John, I appreciate the kind remarks from a fellow ‘C owner.
And just curious, what happened to your IFR you filed (i.e. why did you have to get a pop-up)?

can you do long beach airport to catalina island
Kumail Qazilbash, That's definitely another "Bucket List" flight for me. If/when I do it, I'll bring a camera :)
Thanks for posting these. I.love them! What app are you using on your iPad?
Thanks Glen Soucy! I'm using ForeFlight. I've played with some of the other EFBs but have grown accustom to the look/feel/features of FF.

I actually just watched the video again - and you addressed that very thing! Nevermind! I must've missed it on my first pass. haha

@@ManandaMooney thanks for the response and info!
Nice flight. I dare you not to adjust your mic for an entire flight.

@@ManandaMooney challenge accepted. Looking forward to your next one - I enjoy them quite a bit, especially the last couple of explanatory ones.
Sad to think *Twin towers* no longer exist just one world trade center
Agreed. It's a very different skyline
