Wow. Lots of good ideas here. I'll have to pick up the plans. Something I would emphasize during the design phase of the build. That your storage system should be built around finding and retrieval, not finding a place to 'cram' stuff in. Your spray can and stain storage are good examples of good design in this regard. However, you're going to get tired of stacking and restacking your colorants @10:08 to get that last jar on the bottom of back corner. In addition to the mess that creates while doing so. The same goes with those vertical cubbies. You'll be way too tempted to cram stuff in those forcing you to dig through them to find out that you forgot that you ran out of that tube of wood filler on the last project. Think 'well run grocery store'. No one crams napkins in front of soup cans. Employees know where everything goes. Each item has it's own space. They know when an item is running low, and when it runs out. As I started with, lots of thoughtful ideas here, but a good 'find and retrieve' design emphasis should be executed consistently throughout.
Don’t expect you to tell us what you spent on lumber to build these cabinets, but sharing the number of sheets of plywood would be helpful to anyone considering buying your plans. Regardless great build!
Hey Brad, what respiratory do you use? What one would you recommend? Goals for the new year include a bunch of woodworking projects (fence repair, garage storage, shed build, built-in cabinets and shelves).
Hope the wrist is ok.Results look great, what was the build time? Why did you put the power socket where you did? Wouln't it have better to put under the desk and perhaps another socket further down the bench? For the dust collection, I feel like it would be more effective to come from above, ie run a solid pipe up, loop it back and have your flexi pipe as an attachment to that. This could let you try harder or softer pipes to your liking or replace it when it eventually wears out or if theres a piece that flys off and puts a hole in it.
Great video Brad. Time to add some floating shelves above the miter saw for more storage. FYI, I was dying laughing at your reaction from the kreg t-track dropping on the ground 🤣 Merry Christmas to you and the family 👍💯
I really have enjoyed all of your videos. I laugh because you think like I do trying to maximize plywood use. I built an 8 drawer dresser using some advise from your videos and used Easel to play tetras so I had less waste! I must have some OCD tendencies too. lol
Any chance the plans are available in metric as I live in the UK. If all RUclipsrs provided metric plans I think you would sell more digital plans. Great build series, I would like to buy the plans but only in metric.
Amazing Video! By the way, you don't need a spacer for the drawers sliders. You just need to use an "elbow 9" hinge instead of the "elbow 0" you are using. 😉
Hey I know you're mostly a woodworker but I've been trying to find someone who does a DIY patio Sun rolling shade build but I can't find any really good videos on that. Do you have any ideas?
Man, these are some expensive cabinets... I've been pricing plywood lately and it's anywhere from $65 - $90/sheet depending on the type and thickness you get. That said, these look amazing and I plan to do something like this in my garage. I think I've grabbed some of your plans in the past, I may grab this one as well. On a different note, 26:03 - I was wondering why you haven't been calling them "Me Nails" like you have in the past. Personally, I thought it was silly but it stuck. Maybe throw it in once a video and see if anyone catches it.
I remember the first time I saw your videos hearing you go "Me nails" I went "Ha, this guy thinks he is funny." and now hearing you say "Brad nails" I go "You mean... me nails... what... what has life done to you Brad... they are Me Nails when you use them... :( "
Actually, if you watch closely, he did add an outlet, not just move the one. He wired the new outlet to the existing one. At least, that's what it looked like to me, and what I've done in our garage. :)
Looking for numbers...you don't include measurements in your video. I want to build my own base cabinets but have no idea what sizes to cut the build pieces. Do you have that type of build video?
That's exactly what we made the plans for. All measurements, cut list and step by step assembly instructions. shop.fixthisbuildthat.com/products/modular-garage-shop-cabinets-bundle
Instead of those goofy shelf pins I'd much prefer the pilaster rails for shelving. It can be adjusted to a half of an inch. My cabinets, I dado a groove and inset the pilaster strips.
If my shop were part of the structure that my family and I live in, I'd be storing things like paint and finishes (that you obviously have quite a bit of) in an approved metal "flammables" locker rather than wood cabinets. Probably not much more than what you paid for all that Baltic birch.

If you click on the link for plans, it tells you how many sheets in the description.
0:40 There are some very happy deers nearby.
But what did you find that made you want to completely demo the work space?
Been with you from the beginning Brad. Nice to have these build all in one video. Happy New Year to you and the family
Thank you. I’m building in a new wood shop and this is helpful
enjoy the build out!
I would put some anchor for the dust collection hose so that it does not slowly go through the hole with repeated bevel cuts.
Beautiful job.
This is a fantastic build and I’m sure was a pain in the butt to film. Thanks!

This is my go-to bit.ly/3m6500
I recall watching all of those videos! Happy Holidays to you and your family Brad! 🌲🌲👍👍
Thanks, Steve. Same to you!
All the best of the season to you and the family. Stay safe in the New Year.
Just wanted to come by on Christmas morning to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and hope you ALL have a wonderful new year in 2025!!

Video molto bello 👍👍👍👍 tantissimi auguri di buon natale a te e famiglia
This is a great collection thanks!!

It's so neat that I'm so jealous... Nice work.
❤
Awesome job!
Do you have something for a blind corner kitchen cabinet in a way I don’t have to get inside my cabinet every time I need to get a pot🤭
WooooooWoooooWoooo @5:40 - you secured with WHAT?
Excellent!!!. I need to know how you hold your upper cabinets, french cleat?. Thanks!
I see you are in Tennessee. I am in Southeastern Kentucky. Where do you get the nice Baltic Birch Plywood?
Love this channel!!
Any videos on your new shop coming? It's been like a year since the last one.
Very very soon. The was a teaser in the intro of this vid
The lack of “me nail” comments really upset me during this video. I come for the woodworking but stay for that dad jokes 😂
Your quite talented, nice shop
Awesome job.
Awesome! I love your videos

I do like the revisit on the older videos but, that light could've been flush mounted to that pegboard and that'd give even more room. 🙂
The light doesn't block any of the pegboard because of the rail around the perimeter
Did not expect to see the deer slaughterhouse being demolished.
Where do you purchase your Baltic Birch PW? Would sanded ply work almost as well for a shop? Thanks!
What an informative video! Great job, Brad!
Just curious. How much did all that Baltic Birch cost?
Wondering how many sheets of $100 sheets of Baltic plywood you used for all of this?
Nevermind, just read the comment below
Wow, $300 for just the base 60" cabinet, not counting hardware, ouch, but good job.

Where did u get the Baltic birch plywood?
Nashville Plywood, back before it doubled in price
Thanks I live in Hartsville and I will check it out…. Is your new place still in the Franklin area?
Just wondering: why did you move the power outlet for the miter saw instead of making an additional one? Ain’t such a thing as to much outlets..
Actually, if you watch closely, he did add an outlet, not just move the one. He wired the new outlet to the existing one. At least, that's what it looked like to me, and what I've done in our garage. :)
How much lumber used for the project?
Great video

Baltic Birch for shop cabinets? Very costly. Why not use a lower grade of plywood?
Instead of those goofy shelf pins I'd much prefer the pilaster rails for shelving. It can be adjusted to a half of an inch. My cabinets, I dado a groove and inset the pilaster strips.
When are you doing new stuff? I thought there was a new house and new shop to be making videos for?
Have you been following the bathroom renovation and the shed? Those were both at the new property
18:08 I legit said "So just clap your hands....just clap your hands." Now you just need somewhere to store two turn tables and a microphone 🙂
A 32nd of an inch is .78 of a mm
Common sense builds, I like that
I just don't understand using expensive 3/4 plywood for a small cabinet. In my shop all of my wall cabinets are made of cheap 1/2 sanded plywood.
If my shop were part of the structure that my family and I live in, I'd be storing things like paint and finishes (that you obviously have quite a bit of) in an approved metal "flammables" locker rather than wood cabinets. Probably not much more than what you paid for all that Baltic birch.
❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
$48 for Baltic birch?! Send me your coordinates
I just hate not hearing "'me' nails" 😂
i'm pretty sure it's in there a few times :)
Me nails 😂
