    Coach Damin is known for developing elite PGs.
    Today he brings you 3 "post moves" that every guard must master to become an elite finisher.
    Even if you don't post up in the game, every time you attack the rim and come to a stop you MUST have the footwork to create space and angles for scoring opportunities.
    With these 3 post moves, the BEST way to add them to your arsenal is to get in the gym and rep out each move 25 times from each side of the court leading 50 "on-air" reps for each move prior to trying them out against the defense

    The younger, more athletic defenders i run into bite on these all the time not only because they r eager to block me but they r not used to guarding post moves and well used pivots.

    Great video!
    Honest question, because it's increasingly gotten me head scratching for some years now: why is it not called a travel in the NBA when players lift their pivot for a fade away jumper? I consulted the rule book and it specifically states it to be a travel. Is there any official statement for things to be called differently or did it just low key transition to being called this way?

    Right now im struggling to get playing time on my high school basketball team. Its gotten to the point where ive skipped games and its making me feel like shit. I'm thinking about playing aau or finnding winter leagues next year. Do you think playing in an alternative league instead of JV would be more beneficial? I just wanna play somewhere and feel wanted on a team.

      Playing is always better than not, so have a talk with your coach and ask him what you need to improve on so you'll get more time, and then go work on those areas.
      Getting your coach's feedback is important so he knows you're hungry.

    Hi when i am doing egt and all the other trainings from you guys such as ejt elite shooting etc. I really start to get tired at the beginning and burn out very quickly. when the happens I start to miss a lot of shots and my form becomes bad when I am tired I also won't have full intensity. what is my problem or weakness and what should i work on

      Sounds like you need to improve your stamina and strength.
      So, for now, I recommend working on the strongest and weakest parts of your game.
      For example, Finishing at the rim and ball handling.

      I recommend having a talk with your coach and asking him what you can do to improve. I'd then tell him what you mentioned above, that you get nervous during the game and you play with some fear of messing up.

    What I missed in this video were situations where you attack not only the middle but from another angle. There are guard post moves as well. I would refer to PGC Basketball with the outside-inside finish ruclips.net/video/w993vNj8hok/видео.html

    nba rules say u can jump off of 1... i learned that last year tho. swore 2 feet was the only way to go. but its not

    • @figlemon
      @figlemon 5 лет назад

      Mr. J1S Ikr, NBA rules are way different than most other rules. Like NBA is 6 Fouls = Foul out, everyone else does it 5. NBA has a shorter shot clock. NBA has a defensive 3 second violation and offensive 3 while other levels of competition have just offensive.
      I honestly think off 1 foot from the pivot should be legal at every level, but that just depends on the ref and level.

    • @MrJ1S
      @MrJ1S 5 лет назад +1

      @@figlemon yeah i dont mind those 1st differences u mentioned. but in game rules should be the same across the board. but i care the most about the pick up level where we are the refs lol... this move has caused games to hold up in the past. but i think ppl are more educated about it now

    • @sammccartt2094
      @sammccartt2094 5 лет назад +1

      It’s same at college and high school the step through can be of one foot. Rule states u can pick up pivot foot but not bring it back to ground before ball is released

    • @iceyy6833
      @iceyy6833 2 года назад

      @@figlemon ik i'm 3 years late but one step should be legal at all levels. this is because there is NO such thing as a two step rule. the first step is establishing a pivot and the second step is lifting your pivot foot, putting down your off pivot foot and finishing off it without putting your pivot foot back down. an ordinary two step layup requires you to finish off one foot. there's no reason for it to be different in the post. just a common misconception in basketball.
