During a concert, the venue got rained out by a storm, so a lot of people gathered under an overhand or covered area, and HF sang this, totally bare and raw, no mics....or anything....and it was beautiful.
Oh goddess, yes! I highly recommend that. Look for Home Free Kearny, MO 6.17.2017 How Great Thou Art. Their were several people in the crowd recording that, from various angles and distances so you'll find several videos for that one song. I've found about 10 and each one is beautiful and goes right to my heart.
I think this is one of the best versions of this song. Tim Foust's bass really carries the song. I found Home Free 3 years ago & love these 5 talented guys. Their harmonies are the best in the business. This is one of the few songs where you get to hear Adam Rupp's (beatboxer) sweet tenor voice during "It Is Well". And the scenery is awesome filmed in the beautiful Austrian Alps (my dad came from that area).
Combing the power ballad classic of "HOW GREAT THOU ART" with a splash of " It Is Well With My Soul" slipped into the last section ..... add an aerial view (DRONE CAMERA) for incredible visual beauty .... you have the HOME FREE vocal group among the Austrian Alps [ recorded when touring Europe and dealing with COVID conditions. Lord yes ! GBjj
Home Free's interpretation for their videos for the vast array of genre they perform is sensational and very entertaining. They have videos that are serious and sincere to funny and hilarious and often catch us the audience discerning that a great amount of thought went into producing to enhance the message in the delivery. They bring an emotional aspect that is fresh and thought provoking each time. They are very intentional and deliver with excellence. They simply don't put out junk, they bring it with a very high end and are very deliberate with their message of their productions❣ Home Free brings a worshipful respect to their gospel music that is very reverentful and exudes honor the song is intended for. They are very intentional in this regard and it is not about them. Everytime I hear them sing a gospel related song, I feel like I was just in church and am worshiping right along side them. 💫🌠🌌🔥 Nice reaction Maddy!!!🎯
They are so versatile. This is a beautiful hymn that I know from my church. It’s not necessarily Christmas music but it’s a beautiful season to sing it in. They filmed this in the Austrian Alps when they were touring there. Loved seeing Adam (beatboxer) sing some verses (“it is well”). They sing all genres of music and don’t mind being silly and well as solemn. Good one Maddie!
First, thank you for not pausing. It's very rare where you see people do nothing and just listen, thank you. How Great Thou Art is an old Hymn of the church, absolutely one of my favorites! I wish Adam Rupp was featured more with his beautiful voice, no beatboxing, no effects, just total reverence for Almighty God. It Is Well is my favorite Hymn. Thank you again for waiting until it was over. I hope all is well with you
This hymn definitely makes me emotional--Home Free's version is my very favorite version of all the many, many I have heard 😍 Besides the unbelievable 5-part harmony--and gorgeous backdrop of the Austrian Alps--getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is a real treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging
I love old gospel music! Harmonies were out of this world back then! With Dad squatting over the floor furnace on Sunday morning to take the chill off watching and listening to Quartets on TV singing Gospel songs back in the early 60's. Love it!
@@MaddyReactions AND that was Black and White TV's and we had to go outside to adjust the antenna to get good reception! Thanks for that! A lot of old memories!
This was one of the first, if not the very first, videos with Adam Chance singing baritone. I mention that because HF just released "Something To Talk About," the first video with tenor Adam Bastien.
Your reactions are the best I’ve seen. Your emotions, candor and excitement. I can tell you have a beautiful soul as well as being beautiful. God bless
Another song by Home Free you would undoubtedly enjoy is "Mary Did You Know". I heard that song for the first time over the holidays last year and fell in love with it. You might want to give that one a listen. Take care and God Bless
Great reaction, Maddy! This is a beautiful song and Home Free does an amazing job with this. I have tickets to see them live next month and I am really looking forward to it! Austin Brown has left the group to pursue an individual career and, I believe, their new singer is on the upcoming tour.
An old Home Fry here. Love my Home Free. Even though Austin has decided to stay Home. I have heard Bastien, he does a good job of singing high tenor. Subscribed. For two reasons: 1 you play Home Free and #2 your name is Maddy. My childhood best friend was Maddy.
I'd also like to recommend Home Free From the Vault episode 8. They have a camera behind the main cameraman showing us things that didn't make it to the video you're watching. The guys crazy antics, them going up to the site and figuring out his to pronounce the area. The From the Vault video are so fun and informative to watch.
I don't know if anyone else has suggested this or not, but a good bookend for this traditional hymn is Amazing Grace (Peter Hollens feat. Home Free). They have tremendous range to do any genre, from hymns to country, to R&B, pop, and goofing off. But no matter what they do, they put in all of their hearts. Also, give Everybody Walkin' This Land, Brothers in Arms, and One Voice Was Heard a try. I'll stop now...
Not to burst your bubble, but Tim has left his CofC upbringing well behind him. I believe he calls himself an agnostic not an atheist. I know Austin believes God has a role in his life, but I have no idea how religious any of the others are at this point in their lives. But regardless of their beliefs, they can provide a wonderful presentation of this song, which touches even the non-religious in the audience. And they do it without any grandstanding. Butts may not be your cup of tea, but you have to admit they did it well.
So good. More gospel, please. Compare this version to Elvis’ version then review his whole gospel albums. Elvis’ voice was perfect for gospel. But these boys do a great job too. Good review.
They really don't follow a Christian lifestyle that much. I think Austin does, but Tim does not. The other three I don't know about, but they remain respectful of Christianity regardless, I think because of their fan base. They have several religious songs that they do an amazing job of.
New sub here,,,, been hitting your channel on regular basis decide better sub.... Try next song My Church is another great cover; Go Rest High On That Mountain, and Two COUNTRY Singers try singing OPERA

Wasn’t that just gorgeous? This is by far my favorite hymn! And they did an amazing job in a stunning location (near Salzburg, Austria).
Wow! Great location

I love Everything they do and I love they Don't take themselves too seriously . They have a fantastic sense of humor and that makes them well rounded.

In case you were wondering, the high harmony you hear when Austin has the lead is vocal percussionist Adam Rupp!!
This is the most beautiful version of this song that I have ever heard. Love your reaction!
Beautiful harmonies and encompassing bass notes give hymnal blessings.

Great tune! I’m partial to the Johnny Cash version.
Sing it Austin ❤
If Butts Medley messed with you, then you need to see/hear their cover of Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.
Very good rendition. Elvis and Carrie Underwood did an amazing job on this song too 😎👍

Carrie's rendition always strikes me as a performance ( a very good performance), this is more of a prayer.
