- A Carmichael man was sleeping in his apartment unit when the suspect allegedly kicked the door of his apartment unit and then shot into his apartment. The resident returned fire, injuring the suspect.
I love stories where the good guy acts instinctively to protect his family and the bad guy gets what he deserves!

@@k9er233 You are correct. CA is a stand-your-ground state as well as a castle doctrine state. Those are both a part of the State Constitution. It harkens back to a time when CA was a rural backwater state. Back when Placerville (Old Hangtown) was the State Capital.
@@DanielMcGillis-f3w It is interesting how many people are willing to believe what the "news reporters" tell them. Sad really. I lived in Old Hangtown for a bit back in the 90's. Original home of Studebaker, back when they produced wheelbarrows for the gold rush. Neat town.
