Im proud to say this was my Chicano Studies and Ethnic Studies professor, Professor Villarreal! If you see this, I enjoyed your classes, lectures and wisdom about Chicano Culture, this video was awesome thank you!
Oh my god, my friend sent me this video because we enjoy cruising culture, but I was surprised to see it being talked about by my Ethics professor! He teaches at the community college at my school, his class is really interesting. If you can see this, I really enjoyed your class Mr. Villarreal!
I grew up in the Bay Area in Oakland in the 80's and 90's the East Bay had a lot of places where people would cruise Like in Oakland on E14th st or Hayward on Ast and Richmond on 23rd st also Vallejo on Springs rd. I used to cruise all the time when not in the East Bay we would hit up Mission st or Broadway in San Francisco or Santa Clara st in San Jose. I also remember the Lowrider Car show at the Oakland Coliseum. Good times growing up as a Chicano in the Bay.
BIG PIMPIN Onmine he never said low riding started in SAN JOSE, but Lowrider magazine did start in SAN JOSE and has had a big influence in the lifestyle
DAMN KEYBOARD THUGS..DONT BE PISSED CUZ SAN JO CONTRIBUTED TO THE LIFESTYLE OF LOWRIDING..AND IS THE BIRTH PLACE OF A VERY SUCCESSFUL MAGAZINE JUST LIKE STREETLOW MAGAZINE..WHAT DO YOU GUYS HAVE TO BE PROUD OF ..DODGERS🤮EVEN DODGERS STADIUM HAS A BAD STORY ..DONT FORGET THE SAD STORY OF CHAVEZ RAVINE!!SAN JO YOU KNOW!!!
No one is saying San Jose started it, but you can not take away the contribution and the Major role San Jose played in the early years of the lowrider culture. The fact that you had to make it about some Hood or Varrio BS shows your lack of knowledge.
