Last year when Target did the big toy clearance in November I got like 6 Hexbug Nanos for $1 each
that is actually a steal
Love these guys! My friend had a hexbug themed birthday party once where we fought our Nanos to the death for prizes
genuinely sounds like a great time
Hexbugs, Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time.
I didn't realize how many Hexbugs me and my sibling had over the years until now. I remember a spider, a fire ant, a scarab, I think one of the classic beetles?? And a bunch of nanos and some track things for them. We really wanted a fish at some point but I don't think we got it
I loved these things as a kid
GET HEXBUGGED. Great video as always, ty!!
i'm glad you liked it :3 get hexbugged
The nanos were my favorite, I never got any of the others because none of them were better than the nanos in my mind, they were so tiny and cute and I loved them
I watched them run around like you watch fish in a tank and when I had to stop playing I'd switch them off and tuck them into bed like they were sleeping
they're so silly i can see why you preferred them
Target used to sell these novelty gift cards, some had buttons and little gimmicks, and once I got a target gift card that literally was a hexbug nano. The barcode was on the bottom of the dude.
THAT'S ACTUALLY SO COOL
@@xephrou idk if they’re like, documented anywhere but I had lots of toy target cards. The ones I remember most were a tiny water gun with a barcode on it and a small plastic box with a button you pressed for the “naughty or nice” meter, it would randomly light up red or green
This is extremely nostalgic. I am 14 and I grew up watching robot videos and hexbug nano videos one one of the ones that I watched a lot. I eventually got my own set of Nanos and I loved all of them, then I started to get scared of them for no reason. I still check them out at stores and I think its the one of the best toylines ever, they still release new stuff, they actually quietly released a new nano variation called Evo which I have never seen anyone pick up except for the hexbug Reddit.
Also, if I remember correctly Nano was the first hexbug to be released? I don’t remember but they were released in 2007
i think nano was further down the line and/or came out the same year as the initial bugs!! the very first hexbugs were big beetle looking things
YOOOO I just noticed but, I freaking love the new intro! Also great vid!
thank you!!!!
There was a hexbug that predated the Fire Ant and the Mirco Ant that was literally just called "Hexbug Ant." The fire and micro ones are not the original.
Loved the Nanos as a kid
Wow that's a memory unlock!
Being a little kid at a New Year's local event I got a guaranteed gift - sorta Barbie doll. I was upset because boys got colorful and funny running cockroach Hexbugs (nano), as a girl and not being fon of any dolls and puppets it was a bummer...
Also huge props to whole video quality! (and Wanderer puns hehe)
"party nano" is giving me such a childhood nostalgia vibe
ay i had hex bugs, they were cool, (the most of all the typs i got was up to the wall climbing ones
I would love to see a video of you covering Squishmallows!
Hex bugs where my favourite omg hahahhehehehrhrhrhahhr
Just seeing the new intro!! It looks so cool :3
thank you!!!
love this video, i wasn’t around when hexbugs were first released but last year i started collecting all most of them 2nd hand on sites like ebay, my collection is huge containing most if not all of them, btw u forgot to mention that Hexbug released and XL version of the Spider, Scarab, and Strandbeast
i will definitely make a note of that!! i was having trouble finding good resources for exactly what products they released, i might make some kind of part two or an addendum to this somehow to fill in the gaps!!!
@@xephrou ya i feel you, unfortunately a community for hexbug doesn’t exist lmao, such a shame cus in my opinion, they r extremely underrated and i would’ve love to have a chance to share my collection, recently they have been releasing mediocre and upright lazy products which is scary to think abt the direction they or spinmaster is going
@@zombienano9771 There is a reddit community that is fairly active.
Ngl hexbugs are pretty fire, one time had 3v3 with nanos. There were two teams. (Warning these names are stupid) the toesuckers, and the tinklefards, the tinklefards got gagglefucked.
That’s the kinda bullshit that happens when I hang out with my friends. (Yes I know, this is stupid)
Whah Happened to hexbug
i believe most variants can be purchased directly off their website, and they still sell certain products at walmart and target :)
