Mine is doing the same thing. I'm a little frustrated it is such an easy fix and I had to look up the solution.

Thanks for not making this a 27 minute long video with an annoying intro and history of locks and latches and how you got into the latch replacement industry because your father once told you the importance of locking your front door…

When you show and say the old one with the metal all worn away and the new one with no metal worn away, you flash the latch but you can’t really see the wear so I don’t understand what is actually wearing and what the differences. It would be great if you could clarify that please.

Yea, I didn't do a great job of showing the wear. But. If you pause on the old one vs the new one. Look in the large hole and the piece goes halfway across with a half moon shape. On the old latch the metal is worn and kinda pointy. On the new latch, the metal on that piece goes straight across.(up and down)

      OooohKay!!!
I had taken screenshots repeatedly after pausing the video to try to be able to compare, and with your description, I do understand now where the wear actually shows.
Thank you so much for that clarification, I went ahead and replaced mine as well, and now when it turns, if fully disconnects properly.
      Thanks again!
