The twins in this are Ursula and Sabina Eriksson, after leaving custody as shown in the episode Sabina supposedly went in search of somewhere to stay over night and was seen by two men acting oddly so they went to talk to her, one of those men was a former paramedic called Glen Hollinshead, he offered to let Sabina stay at his home over night as she appeared vulnerable and he had genuine concerns for her safety and well being.
The following evening Sabina Stabbed Glen fatally injuring him, he had just enough time to stagger to a neighbour and say- she stabbed me, look after my dog.
Sabina ran off as the neighbour dialled 999 and she was picked up on CCTV carrying a hammer and hitting herself on the head with it, Joshua Grattage saw her and tried to stop her but Sabina hit him on the head with a roof tile she had in her back pocket as he tried to get the hammer from her, she was then pursued by paramedic and police to a motorway bridge which she jumped from (40ft drop) and broke both ankles and fractured her skull, this allowed police to capture her.
Sabina received a 5 year prison sentence for Manslaughter with diminished responsibility.
Sabina had been living in Ireland with her husband and two children before Ursula came to visit her in Ireland from Sweden and for reasons unexplained Ursula and Sabina decided to leave together, come to England and got on a coach bus going to London from which they were told at keele services by the coach driver that they could not stay on the bus due to their odd behaviour.
In the episode it shows police questioning as to if the twins could be detained under the mental health act (sectioned on a 136) if this had happened then Glen Hollinshead would not have been stabbed fatally and Joshua Grattage would not have been assaulted.

They should have been charged, for causing real distress, to the HGV driver n other drivers involved. They certainly weren't in a distressed state. As for the 1 who attacked the guy, with a roof tile. Both should be thrown into jail for a long time. Feel for the police.

It's way more insane than people realise. Ursula and Sabine Erikkson are their names, and one of them stabbed a bloke to death only a few days later. It's one of the weirdest cases as, if I remember, she actually got off without any severe punishment due to some very rare psychological break she was suffering from at the time. They've got a whole wikipedia article, it's pretty mental to think the TV crew recorded this only a few days before.

@@robertharvey6030 constructing a straw man around "potential obstruction" would assume people can't understand what emergency services are. Being "given permission" means nothing as there's no expectation of privacy in public and, those in public at the time were further away than the film crew, not intervening or obstructing.
The carriage way wasn't "live" it had been closed and static for hours.
The "slight difference" really boils down to your perception of authority where only certain people are allowed to film and plebs aren't.

We are too soft in this country I mean I day in prison for breaking the law quite seriously. If you struck a police person like that you would spend quite a few months in the nick.

Why did the officers leave these two alone on the hard shoulder before they ran again?? It was obvious what their intentions were from the first time, very poor awareness. They were then released for custody and one went on to stab a man to death. Everything that happened after the initial running in front of cars totally avoidable.

I read an article on the case of the two women which stated that the pair had folie a deux, basically a shared madness which affected them both. Neither of the women was on drugs. One of the twins, Ursula, suffered two broken legs from running in front of the lorry and remained in hospital. The other, Sabrina, once she had served her one day sentence, ended up staying at a bed and breakfast. She stabbed the owner to death with a kitchen knife and fled the scene. The police were called and a persuit began. It ended after Sabrina jumped from a bridge on to the motorway. Amazingly she survived with two broken ankles and a fractured skull. After being discharged from hospital, Sabrina was arrested for murder. She was found guilty but insane, due to her shared folie a deux and served five years in prison.
