    Viktor, great video. One question I had was why when you initially removed the overflow plug did you get so much ATF coming out? I would have thought that less fluid would drain from the overflow assuming it was filled properly during the previous change. Any input there would be a huge help. Thanks

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  2 месяца назад +1

      @@Tradeallday24 I drain it with the engine off, so all the fluid is in the pan.
      The level is set with the engine running, so a lot of fluid is sucked into the internal transmission parts/torque converter by the transmission oil pump, lowering the fluid level in the pan.

    Hey Viktor, I’ve been watching all your videos. Im glad you have these up. I have a 2021 rx350 fsport. I called Lexus to get the type of fluid to do the transmission change and I was told by a service representative that it isn’t necessary to replace the transmission fluid?? • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  10 месяцев назад +1

      Lexus does not provide a replacement interval for transmission fluid, saying it is "lifetime", whatever that means. Many people, myself included, choose to replace the transmission fluid approximately every 60K miles. As far as the "pressure tool", maybe the service advisor is talking about the filler pump for the fluid? They don't always know what they are talking about :)

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  7 месяцев назад +1

      The fluid expands when hot and contracts when cold, changing the fluid level significantly. If you overflow when the fluid is hot, the level will be too low when it is cold. Your 350h hybrid however has a completely different transmission than what is shown in this video. See my 2021-2024 Toyota Sienna hybrid transmission fluid replacement video, it has the same setup as your Lexus.

    Victor, I have a 2020 RX350. Do you have to press in and hold a valve on the transmission cooler line when performing this service? (Eight speed transmission). The car care nut channel shows doing this. If so, do you have to take off the same cover you remove when doing the coolant replacement to access this valve?

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive

      There is no thermostatic valve on this transmission. I think some Toyota models have it.

    Is is normal for 2022 RX 350 transmission to hunt for gears very often?

    • @Viktor_G_Automotive
      @Viktor_G_Automotive  3 месяца назад

      I find that the perception of “gear hunting” is pretty subjective. A vehicle that new would likely still be under warranty, so you could have a dealership technician drive it or you could compare it to another RX a dealer might have on the lot to see if they feel the same. Most likely it is normal.

A comment to Toyota who obviously made you pull your original videos; your actions do not promote goodwill towards your brand. With an RX, Sequoia, and Camry in my garage, you had a loyal customer.
