Nice video! I seriously wonder how SMRT (or LTA?) decides which stations have additional Chinese names spoken in its announcements. Seems quite inconsistent, there’s Marine Terrace (马林台), but not Marine Parade (马林百列）？
Thank you! That's a very good question. Given that the Mandarin names are meant to sound as close to the English pronunciations as possible, we guess that the highlighted ones sound different enough to the English names?
