Woodlands reminds me a lot of Columbia MD, where I grew up. Designed famously by James Rouse, is was the "new model" 70s suburb, very wooded, subdued signage, very "natural". People say the same kinds of dreamy-eyed BS fluff about Columbia, that they do about Woodlands. Underneath though, it's got the same standard suburban DNA, and I'm sure leaf-blowers are a terrible scourge there (in Columbia), too. Even worse now, because the trees are even more mature and filled-out.

LOL, Columbia was used as a model. Also yes, redditors in /r/ColumbiaMD complain about it: reddit.com/r/ColumbiaMD/comments/yl90rp/leaf_blower_hell/
