I have both, do prefer the 12x 50 The reticle and mag make it better to me. For hunting, yes. Agreeably, FT maybe no. I've 2 impacts and this will stay on hunting rifle and bigger mag on targets
I think I would prefer the 12 x 50 with it having about 17mm eye relief if I'm not mistaken ?? whereas the 10 x whatever :) even though it's more compact has no eye relief! ...
Excellent video and I’ve bought one, but the dovetail 11 conversion are ok but on the bsa ultra CLX have a 13,5 mil rail ,, so you have to mess around with mount fittings,, but a brilliant video 👍🤠
Good review Paul, be careful giving any negative vibes or you won't be on Tony's friend list for long, he will drop you like he did with Steve Allen from airgunology lol
Lol no ive made it abundantly clear im going to be honest about stuff come what may . Got to say though these are an eye opener ....not for every rifle they would look a dogs dinner on my Revere or a Steyr hunting 5 but on a Bullpup or a tactical rifle . Im definitely buying one of these but im not sure which yet .
Cracking optics but I wasn't able to tighten so called wedge to the base(a weak spot) to prevent it from moving, even if firmly tightened it moves sideways which means there is a big problem with zeroing after touching or moving rifle by the scope. It took me an hour to figured out where pellets are flying, lol! MTC Optiks did poor design compared to almost identical Immersive optics
Beautiful looking optics from MTC, along with a thoroughly exellent presentation by yourself Paul, this is the best presentation you have done to date, nothing was missed every single detail made perfectly clear and to the point, brilliantly done bud, thats how its done properly (the BBC are looking news readers)no a cracking job. Take care, STAY SAFE and keep it lit.👍 my friend. Get those young Patterdales out in the snow 😉.
Taking them up the hills tomorrow, did the river today but no snow on the coast just really really icy wind ,plenty snow on the hill though they will enjoy that .
As the battery provided was still in it's packaging I presume you have not tried the illuminated reticule yet. I have the Atom and find the switch for illumination next to useless. I should have sent it back but because I probably wont use it I couldnt be bothered, would have been nice for it to work properly though.
Afternoon Paul, Nice review, It's the big dilemma i'm having at the moment, upgrade to a digital day/night scope, or buy a crystal clear day scope and put say the pard 007 on the rear end. Any idea if the 007 would fit? Thanks
@@berty3550 I was sent them to test by Tony Belas at Daystate, not sure which im going to buy yet ...im going to put them on my Delta Wolf and try them out next week but im liking the small one so far its so compact
I’ll be really interested to hear how you get on with the 12 mag on your Delta Wolf....mine is due next week. How do you think it would perform over 75 yards ?
@@fieldsportcymru4636 that’s what I’m thinking Paul. I’ve used the scb2 reticle with an MTC connect but did find the 12 mag not quite enough. This was some years ago and with the 32 objective lens I think. Although I know it would be awesome in the woods I also do long range shots into open fields at 75 plus yards quite often so am wondering if 12 mag will really cut it ? Would be great if it could !!
Brilliant explanation, I am learning a lot , I have a wolverine r , and now from your reviews I have put a steyr 5 on my wish list , thank you
The Steyr is the best rifle ive ever owned ,old classics apart . Well made accurate and fun

Yes i prefer the 12x ret but i do like how tiny the x10 is

I have been looking at these for a while, would love to hear your views when you choose one over the other.

Why did he drop Steve?

@@chrispeat285 he maid some negative remarks on the deltawolf
Worth dropping Steve Allen anyway....what a boring presenter.

I never use illuminated rets , not a fan of any ive seen even the tiny centre dot ones on my swaro and leica .
Great channel and content!
Thank you much appreciated
Just got my swat put the battery in and the crosshair doesn't illuminate?
Take it back if its not working
@@fieldsportcymru4636 I'm such a dufas I put battery in the wrong way ..on the up side what an ammazzing scope......

Is the 007 the scope add on one ? If it is it wont fit mate
I have the pard 008 lrf and I’m not impressed . I also have this and it’s great.
Great review and information about scope centring! Thanks!
Pleasure to be of help
Paul.... I was thinking of purchasing the 12x50 prismatic for my Steyr Pro X
What do you think?
Think it would be an excellent choice for the Pro x mate
As a matter of interest, which scope are you going to keep and where did you get them from?

In FAC it would be great for Hunting mate .

It’s a fad and Paul won’t be using this for any length of time😂
