Wow that’s some insane close eye relief. There was a similar (Warner and Swaysey) prismatic scope used on the WW1 Springfield rifle

    Dave, fantastic video!,
Being new to HFT, please could you advise which would be the most suitable on my HW100?.
I don't really understand the "out of focus will help" bit!.
I was going to use the bracketing method.
    Many thx!
    Simon

Great video as always Dave. Quality was fine and I really like these scopes ! Ile have to try one sometime on the air rifle. That FOV is very impressive !
Look forward to the next mate

Cheers. I was impressed by the FOV too. It's always good to challenge the marketing claims, which needs a real life, side-by-side test like this.

May also help to mention that due to these optics having a fixed reticle rather than needing to use a zoom, for example you don't need to zoom between 3 to 14 times zoom given it is set to 14x zoom, therefore there is less parallax error and possibly zero parallax error, which would make the scope more consistent to accuracy.

Great point - less parallax all round because of the design of these and how close they put you to that fixed mag lens. There are so many benefits to these compact little scopes. Thanks for your feedback

Great review. It may or helped to have mentioned the side focus which can be used as a range finder. I purchased the 14x50 two weeks ago, though have not been able to test it out on a rifle as of yet due to needing to return a new rifle that I had purchased.

      Good point.
Out of interest, what kind of ranges do you plan to use on?

@@thomasjacksltd I'll be using it between 10 to 50 yards, possibly closer if a rabbit happens to get that close or if I do some ratting. I only use sub 12 ft'lb rifles so not shooting long range. I may attempt shooting some targets at a further distance to see how it performs.

Neither, they're Immersive Optics, who originated the idea and do make scopes for some other brands.

If it's for mounting - these are all available with some excellent MOA adjustable mounts.
I have just measured them as best I can for you:
      10x24: 30mm dia, 40mm length
      10x40: 42mm dia, 25mm length
      14x50: 42mm dia, 32mm length
