my cpu usage always remains low, i think im being bottlenecked by it, can you help me with this problem
@@moasher no bro no u dnt knw wht bottleneck is... if the usage is higher thn th gpu usage thn its clld bottleneck cpu...
It means ur cpu usege overload it reach 80 or 90 or 100 ths is bottleneck bro....
i have 2 gpu an integrated intel and gtx 1050, im only seeing gpu1 temp and not gpu2 temp, i have gpu 1 and 2 usage though. ideally trying to monitor temp of the gtx and i think gpu1 is the intel
It doesn’t show to osd or frame rate
I'm getting a "Some components cannot be hooked error message" and the FPS display won't show, got a fix?

You don't need to change the group name to a specific card.
Just use:
for GPU -> %GPU%
for CPU -> %CPU%
And program automatically will change your GPU/CPU name to your card.

Please hear me out I had the same problem, just re install and make sure that you installed both software's (they come in the same download file). It WILL work please do it!

This guide is great, many thanks! I tried it right away and it worked. Except for a few things: There are certain parameters I want to see during the game, but those will not be displayed even though I followed your steps. As said, for most of the parameters it works, but a few are missing, e.g. CPU Temp or CPU clock... Am I missing something?
same, some aren't showing even the OSD is on but nothing shows up

@@jakdal9 u click on ur choice in monitoring tab and then check the "Show in On-Screen Display" for everything you want to show
@@spike-trap-bomb I did that but the "toggling" part is i have to repeatedly press the key for it to show in any game as it not responding or something
that's the part it won't show up like it won't toggle OSD in the game or should i reinstall both MSI afterburner and riva tuner?

how did you add your CPU and the Fan speed? what options do i need to select?

hi man so what you need to do is go to, settings > monitoring, click on the thing you want to display e.g. framerate and click 'show on-screen display for the ones you need, hope that helped

it seems the Override Group Name does not have any effect if the items are from different types. I tried to override the GPU temp and CPU usage into 1 line but they're still shown in different lines
Good video man thank you, I just bought a new RTX 30 series GPU. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. But doesn't both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards both come with software that does the exact same thing with all the same features, that's actually mandatory software for anyone using dedicated GPUs because it's responsible for downloading and updating your Graphics Drivers for correct and proper performance? Like the software that comes custom made to your exact model GPU by default. I think Nvidia has something called the Nvidia Experience, which is on all machines with Nvidia GPUs and for AMD it's called the Catalyst Control Center (AMD CCC), I believe they have all the exact same features and are specifically tailored to your model. And it works on every game that your card is compatible with, so it basically always works.
I'm pretty new to PC gaming so that's why I am asking, is this software just that far superior that it's worth loading a 3rd party program that you have to customize to your hardware? Or do you find this software to be more accurate and easier to use than the preinstalled software that Nvidia and AMD cards come with?

when you install msi afterburner you have to keep the riva thing checked too

The first time I ran the installer it did not install RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server). I uninstalled and reinstalled and during the checkbox section of "Choose Components" I unchecked RivaTuner and re-checked it. Once Afterburner installed the installer came up for RTSS and I ran through that installer as well. Then voila, I can now display my settings. Hopefully that works for you if you haven't figured it out yet.

Small question--- when you're playing SteamVR.... does the overlay show up in the headset, or just on the screen, for game capture (OBS)... ? Still new to this. Look forward to checking it out. It doesnt work. I did exactly everything in the video. When I click the hot key to toggle OSD nothing happens. I tried in Apex and CS so far. I have HP Omen Desktop
apperantly it doesnt fork for csgo i tried aswell, no luck but on other games it works

some games don't allow afterburner, mostly online games but some single player may not work either depending on what engine plus if/or they're using anti pirate measures.
