- Wow. This came out a lot longer then I intended it to. But it is a long series, and I wanted to do it justice. Celebrate Valentine's Day with me as I talk about the MLP audio drama by DisneyFanatic2364, Bride of Discord! Let me know what you thought of Bride of Discord in the comments. Let me be the first to comment saying you did an excellent job doing a review of BoD, and I like that it was long and extensive and detailed where it needed to be. And while telling the whole story was long, you had the best summary of anyone I've heard (not that saying anyone else I have seen is bad.) It made me think of a few things of BoD in a different way and inspire me to add on to some of my works of writing and such.
The one thing I liked the most was not only the compliments you gave BigApplePie, but putting down the criticism of DaWillstanator. The real reason is that everyone is used to the old VA for the past 9 episodes. And because of that, the new VA had to live up to that standard in 1 episode, which really after hearing many other bad impressions of Discord, Will is the only I know (especially after hearing his initial acting in the project) that could accomplish that.

Yeah, summarizing the plot is something I don't normally do, but it was the best way I could find to talk about everything I wanted to as naturally as possible. You were both fantastic in the role of Discord and I wanted to acknowledge that. It's pretty much an unwritten rule of the internet that if you replace someone people liked, you're going to be met with a decent amount of scrutiny. Regardless of how good you are. But I wanted to give Will the credit I felt he deserved. Thanks again for the comment!

Wait, DisneyFanatic voiced both Applejack and Rainbow Dash in Bride of Discord? Is that a bit of meta humor, referencing the fact that both characters are voiced by Ashley Ball in the show? Cause if it is, that's funny and awesome!

I honestly like Daughter of discord so much better than DoD because he's not that much of a dick, yeah he's strict with screwy hanging with moth ball because of his past but I understand where he is coming with screwy because he wants to protect her. My nitpick about BoD is that spike is a baby/child and applejack is an adult (Pe*o ship) and Discord is very abusive to fluttershy
And the fact that they don't let us forget the age gap in the time skip of DoD either because AJ flat out says she wants to wait til spike is older til they think about marriage
Unsure how intentional it was but Applejack was flat out made into a groomer and pedo in the series
If you think about it, the problem with the princess problem could of been solved by Twilight using a tracking spell.

Nice! I totally and completly agree with your review, especially when you spoke about the deal Fluttershy made with Discord in part 9. Yes, things got out of hand because of how she was defending Discord to her friends when they didn't understand why she would, then Discord completly losing it upon hearing she didn't love him, but because of her being desperate to see her friends she unintentionally messed with him on an emotional level to get what she wanted. And because of that, not only she, but the rest of them had to suffer for it. This was a stellar review and I love how you looked deeper into the story and the characters than with just what was on the surface❤😄
This was the best thing I've seen from the fandom ever.

I love how you express your thoughts so I subbed. Now I will share my opinion if you don't mind. Please no hate.
I love Bride of Discord. It's a story focused on my OTP that I have grown to love. The emotions were well played out and the way love was expressed was beautiful. It was so convincing, it made me ship AppleSpike. And that's what I love about the fan fiction. But I absolutely don't love the audio drama. For me, it's cringe inducing and weird with the voices some times. Especially when they point out what's going on when we can see it in the art. I get it, creating a whole audio drama is harder than writing and Fanatic worked hard on it. And I respect how much work she does. But that's my opinion and I can't change how I feel. But I absolutely adore the fan fiction. DisneyFanatic is an amazing author.
Edit (May 30th 2022): Just found this old comment and wanted to clarify my current thoughts. I do NOT ship AppleSpike anymore. Now it makes my stomach churn. As for how FlutterCord is handled, I agree with others that it was poor. This is in regards to the audio drama, as with the fanfiction I don't remember how differently it played out. I may reread it, though I'm not going to have an easy time as before with the AppleSpike content.

Yeah honestly that ship was so creepy. Spike is literally a child and Applejack is a full grown adult. It just feels gross to ship them in my opinion.

I am planning to, yes. But since the last episode of DoD won't be released until June, it'll be a while from now.

KC reviews I didn’t know you’ve done reaction videos. Anyway I have to get this out there, in my opinion so far I think Daughter of Discord is better than Bride of Discord. Now don’t get me wrong I still love Bride of Discord. The story was great, the voice acting was top notch, and the Drama was phenomenal. But Daughter of Discord tends to get more dramatic in my opinion.
