Actually, in that same episode is confirmed that Angel Bunny is NOT shy (either speaking with ponies or animals), plus that he can not "talk" with other animals while in his bunny body (he needs Fluttershy for "translation").
The only "meaningfull" interaction he ever had (on a personal level) with Discord was back in S3E10 when both of them were alone at Fluttershy´s Cottage [being tortured by him both physically and psychologically (as Discord revealed to him how he was "fooling" Fluttershy)].

I personally think that Fluttershy can only balance out Discord, cause Discord needs someone to balance him out. I’m a Fluttercord shipper, all because of Bride of Discord changed my mind and I seen how much chemistry between Fluttershy and Discord have with each other. I personally see Celestia and Discord to be like brother and sister, they get on each other’s nerves, but they love each other nonetheless.

what spike said about fluttershy, is mentioning their friendship between the two of them, never said romance. This is something you are wrong,
I guess it is kinda cannon considering that she cares about discord so much and discord deeply cares about her. And plus there are a lot of hints that they are kinda a thing in a way that goes beyond just friendship between the two. If you think back on all the episodes were the two connected deeper about there well being and care for one another to the point where yeah there lives are at stake and they're not physically hurt or even worse. So, to me yeah it is kinda cannon when you really think about.
You say that as if friends in this show don't really care about each other and wouldn't risk things for each other. The whole point of this is that friendship is really important. "Magic" one might say ; p That said, I do think Fluttercord was largely implied in other ways.

I personally believe that they’re okay either as best friends at heart like you said with the forever young comic (I really loved that reading btw, it was one of my favourites from yours and is true to my heart) or more. When I saw how much Discord changed about Fluttershy from the season 6 episode where he gets jealous at the gala, that’s probably when I started shipping them more. They’ve been through so much together, they’ve been through arguments, sorrow, hope and care for eachother. I always thought they really complimented eachother with how different they are! Fluttershy loves animals and Discord happens to be different animals combined into one, Fluttershy is a softy and Discord is the baddy wth a soft heart which fluttershy reveals, Discord also teaches fluttershy how it’s okay to be open about yourself and just have fun and be different. I found they really did compliment eachother that way, what sucks the most about this ship is the amount of cruel people out there who say it’s wrong to ship it because of their age gap or because they ship Celestiacord or something else. Nobody should ever feel the need to hurt someone else over a ship or an opinion, it’s okay to not ship something but never call someone a “pedophile” supporter or something else just for shipping Fluttercord despite fluttershy clearly being an adult. In my opinion I think Celestiacord is pretty bland compared to Fluttercord because we’ve seen it all before with immortal lovers, not it’s not a bad ship mind you but just not my taste. Anyway, really enjoyed the video, sorry my comment is so long XD
I think it would makes sense for them to end up together, with how obsessed Discord is about fluttershy and how much it shows in the show how much discord means to fluttershy but if they don’t end up together as a couple that’s fine too, we’ll just have to wait and see I guess

"Forever Young" was one of the few modern uses of Romantic Friendship in a story.
It was normal in the 18th and 19th centuries for people to form deep bonds without sexuality being a prime motivator. People could say, "I love you." to someone, even someone of the same sex, without it being a come-on. It was just two heartfelt friends.
The only other Romantic Friendship I can think of is "Sound Euphonium", which features a lot of it.
Well I mean Spike made in canon and Fluttershy voice actress said “Fluttershy has a crush on Discord” while Celestias voice actress said that the flowers and the wink were just something as an apology. While I just like the thought of them being together for as long as they can romantically or not, I do believe that Fluttershy tells Angel everything.
Angel is the jealous type. “If you spend so much time with him, why don’t you marry him?” He was teasing her, that’s his personality. I see Fluttershy and Discord as best friends. And don’t come after me being like “oh, but the last episode blah blah blah” they left it open for interpretation. It’s not canon, it’s “you decide”.

The relationship between Discord and Fluttershy strikes me as VERY similar to the relationship between Schmendrick and Molly Grue from “The Last Unicorn” and “Two Hearts”. Yes they’re very close friends who travel together, but it’s very clear that they are not in a relationship in the books.

In the series finale episode, we see the ponies in the future as older ponies, we see Fluttershy seemingly live with Discord, whether in a relationship way or just a friendship way, we don’t know, I think the show kept in ambiguous on purpose for the fans to interpret themselves. Also, on the topic on Ponies and relationships, Big Mac and Sugar Belle get married and have a colt together, and (this is for the big fans) Pinkie Pie marries Cheese Sandwich, and have a filly together! OMG!
A fluttercord moment i’ve been obsessed over is in the episode where the changelings reform, when Discord invades on Starlights, Trixies and Thorax’s conversation, the moment he confirms Fluttershy is in danger, he immediately get’s pissed (LIKE ACTUALLY PISSED) and tries to get to her.
I watched the last episode of mlp, Fluttershy seems to be with discord in the end looking like a couple. Sorry for the spoiler if you haven't seen it yet.
I was just about to type that! The last episode leaves their official relationship status just ambiguous enough for people to guess, but it's definitely pretty clear that Discord and Fluttershy are still very close in the future.
I'll never forget what my little sister (who got me to watch the show in the first place) walked up to me after the final episode of the show and said: "Fluttershy married Discord!" With a big grin on her face.

I am a Fluttercord shipper, but at the same time I noticed also these little things but what about the times with the changelings, it is said they turn into the thing you love in order to take one's love, and in "Where and Back again" the changelings captured Discord by pretending to be Fluttershy, plus she was his main goal in the episode
I remember Fluttershy blushing when Discord hugged her on the episode the Changlings were reformed.
I love how Fluttercord went from the lower bottom end in terms of Discord ships, (back then he was popular with Twilight, Celestia, Pinkie and sometimes Luna) to now be at the top

Well I think we can say that fluttercord has finally happened. And Cheese pie or Pinkie Sandwhich
Honestly, Discord and Fluttershy being a couple makes sense. Fluttershy is attuned with nature and loves animals, and Discord is the embodiment of chaos and is an amalgamation of all sorts of different animals put together, and nature and chaos do go hand in hand as nature is a form of orderly chaos. Fluttershy also gives kindness to those who wouldn't get a chance by anyone else, and all Discord needed was that chance to show someone how much fun he can be around as that's all he wanted was to have fun and enjoy life his own way.
Also, Fluttershy living in a secluded life can sound samey and boring, so she definitely needs some excitement in life... to an extent. Like not something that goes way out of control, but something that would be fun and exciting and won't be out of anyone's control, which Discord can do as he can break the very fabric of reality and fix it back up in an instant so no one gets hurt in the end.
I wont spoil it, but the last episode was leaked from Russia, and many ships were busted but others were very much confirmed. I would tell more on it but I wont be the spoiler of good news. I will say this as a treat, Flutters and Discord are married in the future... all else.. just need to find on your own now.

I think it's a cannon to be. I think if they keep fluttershy and discords friendship going into g5, then that little line might be a thing that could happen. We don't know much about g5 yet but this might be the only thing we know.
I'll say this as someone who ships Fluttercord. I think they did a really good job building up a deep and intimate friendship. The groundwork is laid for the start of a romance. That being said, if they do anything Fluttercord related it would have to be something at the finale and very very minor. Like one saves the other and in the heat of the moment one of them blurts out their feelings. You know, the snuggly child-like concept. Honestly though, if there must be Fluttercord in the finale, I'd be more interested in a Romeo-Juliet thing. Even as a huge fan of Discord, I would love to see him go down saving the Mane 6 from Grogar and watch as he dies (well, fades away. Kid's show, after all) in Fluttershy's hooves. It's funny, I'd prefer there to not be anything canon. It's much much too late to solidly set up a full blown romance at this point.

During one of your large-group reviews, I believe the one for Break-up Breakdown, Josh suggested the writers might ship one of the Mane 6 right before they closed shop, just set the fandom on fire and then run...
It's also 'possible' that Angel Bunny only said that through Fluttershy because she seems to spend more time with Discord than with Angel. And in Angel's mind, since Fluttershy seems to enjoy spending more time with Discord more than Angel, she might as well be 'married' to Discord especially if she's talked to him about her afternoon teas with the guy.

What's interesting as well is how the Vet pony didn't react in any sort or weird or surprised way when Angel said what he said. It was something totally normal, something to brush off cos work's to be done. Seems a bit odd, not even a visual sign of confusion on her face.
There's the teasing from Spike, also, and of course the countless times Discord proclaims Fluttershy is his favourite.
The main thing people dislike, I think, is the whole immortal / mortal couple thing, that it's slightly "weird" a character is 1000s of years old. But Discord was frozen in stone for who knows how long, but even despite that, both characters are still adults and can make conscious decisions, regardless of an "age gap" - and the main thing I saw people compare it to was Dr Who & Rose, which a lot of Who fans seem on board with. This is basically our Who and Rose, an immortal (or 1000s of years old) creature, not of the same natural species (just like the Dr isn't actually human), in a relationship of sorts with a mortal. In my eyes, it's a perfectly fine thing to have in the show if that's what they want, and personally I like the idea of Discord turning all softy because of the very pony who, in Season 1, you'd never expect to even talk to a chaotic being. They bring out different sides of each other and help them grow, and it's just kinda sweet.
i think Angel said this just poke some fun at Fluttershy's friendship with Discord he knew that they are close friends so he just wanted to make fun of it

I actually view that line as an insight into Angel's feelings about Discord. Angel has shown inn various instances that he doesn't like Discord. And considering that Discord has been around Fluttershy a lot, taking up the potential time she could be spending with Angel, it could stand to reason Angel has grown jealous of him. So, in his immature mindset, Angel saying (as Fluttershy) wants to marry Discord could be stemming from his jealousy that DIscord is stealing her away from him.

This has given me a headcanon that Angel IS Fluttershy's diary in a way; Angel is her closest and most trusted companion ever since the beginning of the show, AND he can't say anything to any creature, even if he wanted to. XD

To me fluttercord is a ship that can be easy to read as either romantic or close friendship. It is very easy to make a case for either one, or a friendship that could turn romantic later on. I have always appreciated how natural it feels when they play off each other.
Read somewhere in a forum bout the scene as Discord gave Flutters her lunchbag that they wanted them to have a tiny kiss goodbye in the first. But they changed to keep it small and to not cause a war between Fluttercord-Shippers and -Haters 🤔
They talked bout it to be in the first skript and mentioned in some mails of the writers but I don't have any more details 🤨
