Newest episode(season 8 finale): Tirek: "The six of you" Spike: "seven!" (This happens repeatedly in the episode) This might be alluding to the seventh element?
This makes a major amount of sense. And also kinda matches up with what we saw in Equestria Girls where there are SEVEN Geodes naturally created rather than six as in Equestria. A friend of mine suggested this seventh Element is TRUST, which would make a lot of sense for both Spike AND Sunset Shimmer.
I don't know. I am skeptical about this idea. Most of the proofs for this theory are based on certain screenshots which can simply be explained as animation error, which is kind of common in this show. And if the writers actually follow this idea, it will break a lot of things. The basic of the EoH is that their power come from their unity. You cannot have all the feast from cleansing Nightmare Moon, stoning Discord, defeating Tirek, raising the castle, etc. when skipping 1 crucial element among them. It will mess up the logic and story more than it fixes up. It will be acceptable if the tree grows 1 more Element (it's a tree after all, and trees grow), but not when you say there are 7 Elements all this time.
This is just my own little mini-theory, but I think the green element was originally meant to be for Clover the Clever. She is strongly connected to friendship because of the fire of friendship, and she was close to Starswirl because she was his student. Maybe Starswirl had planned for Clover to have the green element and help defend Equestria, but things happened and either the element got lost or it never grew. If it does appear, then Spike would most likely be the one to possess and represent it. I can't wait to see if the writers do anything with this, it would be very interesting!
Also, in the episode "Secret of my Excess" (when Twilight is standing on the globe and staring down at Spike), you can see another element of harmony still in stone. This couldn't just be an animation error, could it? I wonder how Spike got a hold of that...
@@stardancer21 It's been confirmed that Starlight was never meant to be a mane "7" or an element she was there to show and teach about her redemption journey the 7th role has always belonged to spike or sunset (in the eg world)
I can just imagine spike getting his element 😂 He's completely happy, Twilight: Oh Spike, I'm so proud of you! Rarity: Ouu, Spikey-Wikey! This is wonderful! Somepony else (I don't know who): Don't eat it... 😂😂😂
Is Spike one of the Elements of harmony since he was included in the final battle with Twilight Sparkle and her friends, the pillars and the young 6 when they all formed a giant rainbow blast to defeat Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow?
Indeed, he is the ever present source of stability and support. So often he is overlooked by fans because he does it so well and the few times he is in the spotlight tend to be him messing up as a natural part of growing up.
@lancer737 The source.. and take mind that comic is non-canon. Seventh element is element of magic.. as Twilight isn't one obviously what we clearly see in EQG.
Well spike is a teacher thing- (I forgot his role, lol.) But Spike plays a big role at the school, so the Maine six could've pit that 7th element on the shield to include spike.
Dr Wolfe, Here’s an interesting idea. What if Celestia found Spike’s egg laying next to the 7th element? She could be waiting to give it to him when he gets older. It could be that the 7th element was stolen from the tree at some point before Luna and Celestia found it. Another thing we don’t know about the tree is why did it have the cutie marks of the sisters on it.
Makes sense, the tree had a sun and moon from the beginning because if harmony was maintained throughout equestria then only the unicorn/alicorn were able to maintain the day and night cycle. Like when we talk about nightmare moon she broke the harmony and even which caused a little bit of imbalance in the day and night cycle so it whole makes sense. Not only nightmare moon but villains like storm king and tirek are even related to the reason why the the day and night cycle were imbalanced
Na its been confirmed that SUNSET 😏 is the element of empathy and starlight was also confirmed to have never been intended to make her an element or 7th member her role is to teach about her redemption journey plus she has her own group of friends going like trixie and thorax
I have an idea of what the 7th element is, caution. Now hear me out, it seems to me that the seven elements are tied to what you want in a friendship. Starting with generosity, of course you would want to be generous with your friend but you don't want to be too generous because you could end up loosing everything you have. Next honesty, now you would love to be honest but if someone is having a bad day and you say that they look bad or they look weird, then you're just going to get a hoof in the face. Third kindness, as seen in the show there is enough kindness to go around but if you're too kind then you can become a pushover, in Fluttershy's case literally. Fourth loyalty, people love loyal friends, but if you're too loyal, then you would end up not having any other friends. Fifth laughter, you love making your friends laugh, but you don't want to make a fool out of yourself. And 6, friendship is magic, Magic is not friendship. So what about caution? Well you want to be cautious to see if your friends are good or bad,I mean you never know, but if you would end up being too cautious then you wouldn't trust them ever. That is my presentation, thank you for sticking to the end.
Starlight doesn't really show empathy tho that much. Sunset definitely, but Starlight not really. Trust could be, but maybe determination? (no, it's not an undertale reference). She out of anyone in the series shows alot of determination.
Starlight could be the element of forgiveness, and I think that fits her more better than empathy, eve though she's been showing more empathy as she's gained more experience in friendship.
agreed, like I love Starlight And Sunset, but Spike's been there from the beginning...honestly getting the short end of the stick. Him being the seventh Element would be a good way make up for alot of wasted potential.
Spike becomes it the 7th element of Harmony that means I'll be right on saying that you don't have to be a pony to get an element. If there was a 7th element I have always been thinking the element of support
I always thought he was the element of encouragement, since he's forever telling people to not shy away from challenges and helping them overcome their problems.
It has been far too long since I watched one of your episodes. It's good to enjoy your content again! In other news, this is very genuinely exciting. I can only ponder at what exactly spike could be! Integrity, maturity, and curiosity are the first that come to mind. If it would be integrity or maturity, it would make even more sense that spike has not been unveiled as an element yet. For he is still a child, and still needs time to grow before he can become a fully realized element.
If you notice, one element of this show if you will is that it is constantly growing and changing. Twilight for example started as this shy, studious pony who was a bit OCD and had no use for friends, but look how far she has come. She has grown from Celestia's student to becoming Spike's guardian and mastering her Element of Harmony and meeting the 5....finding true friendship, to saving Equestria no less than twice and becoming a Princess and now she is a teacher and is showing others the magic of friendship. When we first see the Elements they are rocks first when Twilight names them....then they are the necklaces, then the Tree reveals the box that becomes the map and Twilight's new castle. Spike is growing as well....as he now has wings. AND one of Spike's colors is GREEN and if you'll notice in many of the Mane 6's elements, the color of their stone isn't necessarily their body color....Fluttershy is yellow but her stone is pink and Pinkie is pink but her stone is BLUE. Rainbow is blue, but her stone is RED. Rarity is white, but her stone is PURPLE. The only two whose stones match their body color is Applejack and Twilight. So WHO do we know who has been with the Mane 6 (the wielders of the Elements from the beginning) whose character is partly green? Hmmm. I think Spike is the one worthy to wield the final Element. And I think it will be revealed now that he has grown up and can fly what his Element is. My question for you is....WHAT do you think Spike's Element is? We have seen magic, loyalty, laughter, generosity, honesty, kindness. Would it be courage for Spike? He IS known as Spike the BRAVE and Glorious after all for saving the Crystal Empire from complete and utter destruction. Twice.
Maybe shy is the wrong word....it just sounded better than anti-social. lol. She was more interested in her books and studying and making lists and doing magic than making friends or being social. My point is, she has come a long way from who she was at the beginning. I definitely think Spike represents the seventh Element though..
@ Jasso Dubose It goes way more deeper than Friends. When Twilight was a Foal she practically hatched Spike so technically Twilight is Spike's foster mother/real mother depending on how people see it but that motherly duty ended up being passed on to Celestia considering Twilight's age at the time so effectively Twilight became a Sister to Spike and from Spike's conception Twilight has always been too protective of Spike but every time Twilight steps out of her comfort zone Spike is always there to reassure her. They both need each other and that is why the 2 thrones are positioned together since they will never be apart from one another. But as for Twilight she has given Spike a few valuable lessons in Friendship and taught him right from wrong and only a Mother has that job. Twilight from the time she hatched Spike has always been a mother and she didn't even realize it. I have never seen a dynamic quite like Twilight and Spike's before. Their bonds are so strong and it is very captivating. As for the 7th Element,Spike is the one and only choice since not only did the mane 6 save Equestria multiple times but Spike saved the Crystal Empire and the Tree of Harmony was planted by Heroes to give birth to new Heroes and Spike is one of them.
You have a good point. I seriously thought it would be either sunset shimmer or starlight glimmer who would have this seventh Element (but then again why is the 7th element green) but I would NEVER thought spike, but when you think of it, it all makes sense. Spike was there from the beginning and helped twilight and her friends time and time again. Some people would be curious about The seventh element could be. My only solution is that it could be “ support”. It would make sense Spike was being supportive to the main six since season one. Anyway that’s all I’m saying I’m looking forward to your review on this season eight episode what lies beneath
Green is mostly the sign of new life, so the green could also meaning the Element of Learning because after all Spike is also learning the world around him and slowly understanding along side he gives others teaching about a few things which is a great example for the Element of Learning
My mind = Blown. I really don't have words for this. It makes so much sense. I never noticed these things. Once you mentioned the throne, that's when my head went spinning. I never considered why Spike got a chair too. I don't normally watch your theory videos (I mostly watch the TF2 Analysis ones) but this one intrigued me for some reason and I'm glad I clicked on it.
Spike getting to wield a seventh Element of Harmony would be awesome. I've always had suspicions that there were more Elements of Harmony, especially considering the Elements themselves are "fruits" of the Tree. Assuming a tree is healthy, once its fruits are taken, new ones will eventually grow. Perhaps the Crystal Heart is the Element of Love (descend from Somnambula's Aspect of Hope?) and is a member of a previous generation of Elements of Harmony (I know there's a backstory for the Heart in the comics, but the canonical-ness of the comics is debatable). Furthermore, that would offer some reasoning why the Tree needs its current Elements back -- the Tree of Harmony is no longer healthy due to Discord's plundervines and its innate magic has been sapped away. The Tree needs its Elements back because they contain the magic the Tree no longer has to protect itself.
Maybe the 7th Element of Harmony could be "Patience". And I think Spike has successfully exhibited that virtue in many situations, despite his moments of youthful impetuousness. (Not unlike how each of the ponies has had times when they did not always live up to their element.)
Smartfren Andromax | Thank you for your reply! It makes sense that the Mane Six would be mislabeled due to something like a translation error between Lauren Faust's original concepts and what eventually got written into the scripts or the show's production 'Bible'. So let's see: Rarity = Affection Rainbow Dash = Encouragement/Devotion Applejack = Candor / Integrity? And the other three seem pretty fitting, but let's re-label them for fun too: Pinkie-Pie = Joyfulness/Celebration Fluttershy = Gentleness Twilight Sparkle = Empathy? Understanding? And I guess Magic is just Magic. As for Digimon Adventure, I'm guessing the Japanese names you cited are from that show? I've only watched Digimon Tamers so far.
@@hunterowl1756 Very clever :). Though, Spike would have more in common with Cam Watanabe (The Green Samurai Ranger from Ninja Storm) than Tommy Oliver.
The color of Sunset Shimmer's magic is green, and as in the other world she can transform into a half pony half human, she can indeed be the seventh element of harmony.
It's unfortunate nothing ever came of this. Though in the last episode showing them further in the future spike is a ambassador of friendship for Twilight, so maybe peace or hope?
Sorcery into Magic, Strangth into Honesty, Beauty into Generosity, Healing into Kindness, Bravery into Loyalty, Hope into Laughter (Joy), Wisdom (Stygian or Scorpan) into Empaty (Sunset(EG)/ Either Spike or Starlight)
@@stardancer21 umm spike is the most worthy one cause spike has been with twilight since season 1 and Twilight's companion/child since she's the one who hatched spike and he also had a throne
Okay I know I’m late, but this idea is amazing! There’s so much evidence that leads to it being spikes element that’s not even in the video. Spike was born due to the rain boom that basically brought the main six into connections with each other! This idea is just amazing.
Its got to be spike, remember whats been going one with him? he has done so many things for his friends and has become a hero of the crystal empire, was able to help understand that changelings can also be friends, gets his wings as a sign of growing up, and even had his first friendship mission even though he isn't a pony, however seeing his spikes glow and showing a symbol of him on the map shows that sooner or later spike might end up finding the lost 7th element of harmony, and as a theory that somehow along the adventure that if spike continues doing good deeds and doing heroic things for his friends, he might evolve to become the first dragon type pony and becomes the true member to make the mane 7.
@Sundance Diva No there is not. Grogar was probably they adopted grandfather. Speaking also about that it should be quite obvious until now that Trixie Lulamoon may have something to do with Luna, as much as Starlight with Flurry Heart and Celestia.
@Nightcore Bright Theory need have some logic explanation, even if it based on speculation. There is no real reason to think that there is more sisters, especially because there are reasons to think that Celestia and Luna may not be even real sisters. Speaking of that now we also know that Changelings in fact weren't under Midnight Empire control, because they queens (Chrysalis and Ocellus) look in same way.
To be fair, the sixth unknown element in the pilot was actually the Element of Magic, but the rest of the theory is very fascinating and holds a lot of water. I once heard that the MLP staff once said that if there was a seventh element (and it's looking more and more like there is), it'd be the Element of Empathy. Spike is a strong candidate, certainly, but I also feel that Starlight Glimmer might be an Element Bearer as well, especially since she's taken on the role of guidance counselor in the School of Friendship.
The 7th element needs only a name, and there is one element of friendship that I feel is missing from the elements present. The element of trust. Trust is such an important element to any relationship. Be it friendship, professional and especially romantic, so much so that, without it, the other elements wouldn't have chance to shine. Without trust, there is no generosity, honesty, laughter, kindness or loyalty. So trust deserves far more than to just be a branch on the tree of harmony. It could be the trunk, or even the roots. That's why nopony else realises it's there, because it's at the beginning of all of friendship's growth.
Well you might be right. Scorpan must have to believe in Star Swirl words about friendship after all he sacrificed his brother's freedom... Myabe then: Sacrifice -> Trust ?
I'll always hold out hope that Sunset Shimmer gets some sort of role in the main series. Her having an element of harmony, while maybe a stretch, would make me REALLY happy.
Unlikely, Clover was one of the original founders of Equestria, so he was probably dead by Starswirl's time. Though even if he was alive, he wasn't one of the Pillars and had nothing to do with the Tree of Harmony (as far as we know at least).
@@aeronarcana7774 Clover was Star Swirl's apprentice. Star Swirl was alive during the founding of Equestria. Equestria is less than 1200 years old, despite what many fans think.
@@JazzyWaffles Starswirl must be unnaturally long-lived then, considering how much happens between the founding of Equestria and Luna's banishment we're looking at several generations at least.
Thank you! I have noticed that with the shield too! Though admittedly I completely missed it with the tree. (Oops and I consider myself an observant person) I am very curious to find out what they have planned as far as elements go. I certainly would like it to be Spike. He certainly deserves it. Though it has been slow going for him, he has in fact come a long way. Though he wasn't there for every major mission, he has contributed a great deal in some pivotal moments. He is also a character that has been a part of MLP from G1. That said, I also wouldn't be surprised if it goes to Starlight. Especially with the similarities of Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer. Though she hasn't shown to be as much of a staple character to the group as much as Sunset has in Equestria Girls, I can see that they would most likely want to give that role to Starlight with the mane 6. I am excited see what may happen! On a side note, I have also been paying attention to the fact the colours that represent the elements has been changing. They changed to represent the body colour of the barer. Though the crystals themselves haven't changed the magic that represents them has. Best example and first sign of this that I can remember is Princess Twilight Sparkle Part 2, when they return the elements to the tree and the magic from the other elements flows to the element of Magic after Luna and Celestia are freed. It shows the red from loyalty change to blue, the purple from generosity change to white, the pink from kindness change to yellow and the blue from laughter change to pink. Honesty and Magic stay the same as the barer's body colour matches them.
I'm also coming up with my own theory. Now that the tree has been reunited with the elements, could it be possible that it will start growing again? While separated from the elements the tree had to spend most of it's energy protecting itself. But now that it's reunited, the energy could allow us to see new fruits, new elements of harmony.
He's been a hero all along with saving the crystal empire twice, creating peace amongst ponies and dragons, setting up the inevitable peace between ponies and changelings by convincing every pony that Thorax could be trusted, aided in saving Rarity and Zecora from that Roc along with Twilight, was really the first to show Twilight the value of friendship before either of them met the rest of the main six, saved Rarity from the diamond dogs along with the rest of the main six, saved the main six from Maneiac in his comic world, kept Celestia up to date on everything that was going on with the rest of the elements of harmony which aided in the relations between them and the royals when shit hit the fan and that trust between the two parties could be made in order to get things done, and helped significantly in punching a way to the Storm King by literally burning the Storm Kings forces to death so that he as well as the rest of the bearers could get to Twilight Sparkle. Needless to say that he's a hero without a shadow of a doubt.
Nick Bleker don't get me wrong, I love spike and all he has done, I would like home too get a BIG HERO moment like twilight vs Terack. That's all I hope for.
You have some pretty interesting ideas in this video, Dr. Wolf. I always enjoy hearing your thoughts on MLP lore. Thanks for sharing this with us! ^_^ Another commenter mentioned that Spike could represent trust, which inspired me to think that another good quality for him might be faith. After all, Spike firmly believes in his friends, especially Twilight. He's also very supportive and can be very reliable or "faithful". "Spike, spirit of the Element of Faith" does have a nice ring to it. As for the possibility of a missing seventh Element, maybe the green branch-assuming it existed outside of the illustration-didn't grow into a jewel. After all, the Tree once produced a flower with a magical chest inside. Maybe the Tree has produced other things…like a certain dragon's egg, perhaps? It could explain how Celestia found Spike's egg and why it was being used in the test that Twilight took as a filly. Maybe the princess was using the egg to test potential Element bearers. Also, Spike befriended Ember and Thorax and helped build connections between ponies, dragons, and changelings, which increased the harmony in the world. That sounds like something the Tree would approve of, don't you think? Thanks for your time!
It has to be Spike for not only the reasons that you've mentioned in this video but for the fact that just like the rest of the elements when that fateful sonic rain boom hit which changed all of their lives for the better and made each of them connected, it was there that he was born by being hatched by Twilight Sparkles who just the rest of the elements of harmony got their cutie marks when that rain boom hit. Not only that but he inherits all of the traits that the elements represents from being Loyal, Generous, Kind, Honest, Humorous, and Magical with his dragon breath able to teleport letters to Celestia. He's also the only character outside of the main six that did so much for Equestria such as bring peace between ponies and dragons, planted the seeds of the inevitable peace between ponies and changelings by showing every pony that Thorax could be trusted, saved the Crystal Empire twice, saved the main six numerous times and played a big role in the elements defeating the Storm King by burning a path to him. Yep it's safe to say that it would be a crime if my boy Spike wasn't revealed to be the seventh element of harmony.
hmmm.... this makes me think of a new oc! an oc who took the 7th element of harmony off of the tree and used it to become more powerful, and soon realized they needed the other 6 to make theirs operate, and when they went back to get the other elements, Celestia and Luna had already taken them to defeat Discord! So, realizing they can't use the green element's power anymore, they destroyed it, and buried its existence deep, deep into the ground... of course they missed a few things, being the ancient drawing in the legend book and Starswirl's drawing. so with this 7th element being broken, and its existence unknown, the elements became slightly weaker. This may explain why they broke so easily when Sombra destroyed the tree. Without the 7th element, they weren't strong enough to withstand Sombra's impact. this may also explain why they aren't as powerful as the magic of friendship, and why they can't keep villains trapped for more than 1000 years. Genius! and i dare say it fits well into the show's canon. Can I have some help? Please answer these questions for me, dear people of the internet: Male or female? What species should this OC be? A pony? if so, what race? Color palette? Mane style? Additional accessories? Evil, seeking to be powerful or just curious? If they are evil or seeking for power, what would their backstory be? Mean or nice? Cutiemark? Hobbies? Talents? Thank you for your participation!
If there's a 7th element, and it is Spike who will be its bearer, what would it be? The only one I can think of is Devotion. We seen how loyal Spike is to Twilight from the very beginning, helping her and mostly saving her from others and herself (Lesson Zero). When he moved to Ponyville, his devotion grew to include the others, plus all the help he's given to Starlight while she was Twilight's student and in recent events, helping her run the school. I know some think that devotion is the same as loyalty. Its not. I did a google search and this is what I got. "Devotion is a different feeling and level of intensity. You are loyal to your friends (hopefully) but you should be devoted to your family. Devotion has an element of worship in it; loyalty is more related to being truthful and supportive." In some way, Spike does worship Twilight and he is a big part in her family.
Nah I'd say humility, cause alot of times think about the main conflict in most episodes, and what is usually learned, and who is the I told you so guy?
And think about his roll as the servant for the most part, a dragon subservient to ponies, when it's implied that dragons normal do bad things to ponies. Also think about when Scorpan, aggred with the ponies way of life as well.
When they first found the elements on the statue in the castle of the two sisters on season 1 episode 2, there were 6 stone circles (elements) not 5. And then later in secret of my success, when spike was hoarding all those pointless items, you could see in one of the piles he had, the six stone circle element.
Well, there is one pony animation that said “you have your element too. The most powerful one ever. An element that connects everything else. thanks to your endless perseverance and diligent work, you have now served our respect. You inspired us to do better. that is why you are a forgotten element of PERSEVERANCE, light-eyed. this is the true meaning of your cutie mark. ”So the seventh green element may well be an element of perseverance, but who can be its extinguisher, I have no idea.
By the way, here is the same animation → ruclips.net/video/RV6JQVki7q0/видео.html . ( Well, this is a link to the Russian version, because I'm actually Russian. )
In this animation, the bearer of the element of perseverance is derpy, but in the original it seems to me that it could be someone else, but who, I don’t know.
Honestly I think it's the element of forgiveness. The idea of forgiveness is communicated so many times with so many characters throughout the show it would just make sense. We know Sunset used to have a close connection with Celestia, and even now communicates with pony Twilight through her journal. Plus there have been moments of her having sudden surges of magic and even growing a "ponytail" and ears.
this could also explain why it is the mane 7 in equestria girls movies. sunset shimmer supposedly getting passed the element of magic from pony twi. then there is the mane 6 conterparts. this 7 elements could also make a connection why there is the mane 7 in the human world instead of it just being the mane 6. But i love this idea of it being spike in the pony world especially since sunset no longer lives in the pony world.
Cody Lane are u reading my mind I think the same thing spike and rarity as always but I thought should be courage or unity since he’s show each one of the elements once
That also goes with my headcanon that Spike's egg was a gift to Celestia from Scorpan, and Celestia's admission test was to search for one connected to harmony. Twilight passed, therefore she was entrusted with the hatchling that secured her destiny.
I'm more curious on what this 7th Element of Harmony actually represents. The two that come to mind are Forgiveness and Sacrifice. Sacrifice through all the times in the series that Spike has given something up. For example, the heart gemstone to Rarity. Forgiveness might be one as well cause, seriously, all the times Spike got abused? You see him immediately get over it. It hasn't happen all the time, but for the most part, he's pretty forgiving. I usually go by the phrase that you can forgive someone, but don't have to be friends with them. Spike had every right to not deal with the others, but he's still here today and is still friends with them.
Yeees, please! Spike needs more love! What would his element be? Heart? Clarity? Reason? He's always the one to bring Twilight back down when she's losing it, and he has all of those snarky one liners after all.
I've never noticed this! This is really interesting. Because of the colour green, I also think that Spike could be the seventh element of harmony. But I have a question. Why did the elements worked in the past? Every element has to act together with one goal. So why did the elements worked without the element of Spike? Maybe you're right, Dr. Wolf, that it was planned to have a seventh element but the magic seed that the pillars had planted only growed six elements and they became an alliance, because the seventh element were never made.
I've always had the headcanon that Spike represents all elements. I mean, he's loyal to Twilight, he's got a kind heart, he's generous (mostly), honest when it comes to Twilight, and he's very joyful and filled with childlike wonder and laughter. He's also got dragon magic. Still a form of magic. He's got all of it! I just wonder if that was the writer's intentions... EIther way, interesting theory, Doc.
It would make sense that Scorpan took the 7th element back when the tree was a mere sapling which is why Spike has a chair but it’s smaller and doesn’t have a cutie mark (or rather a crude drawing of his head like it did in on the map)
In all honesty, in the Equestria girls movies, Rainbow Rocks uses Sunset Shimmer to defeat the Sirens, creating a stripe of red into they’re rainbow. Sunset Shimmer is also very gifted in magic, as well as she is close to Twilight ( The element of magic. ) but the thing that sets this theory off is the distinct color of GREEN. But there is also another thing in this idea: Starlight Glimmer. She indeed has a slight teal color in her cutie mark, not to mention she is pretty gifted at magic. I believe either Starlight Glimmer or Sunset Shimmer could be the 7th Element of Harmony.
Much as I absolutely adore this theory, and would definitely love to see it come to pass... We all know the MLP staff don't like Spike, it will never happen. Much as he deserves it, they will probably give it to Chrysalis as part of her reformation or something. Assuming they ever do make the 7th element a thing. It will be like, the element of forgiveness or some such nonsense.
Well that's deep. And is probebly not too far from the truth. When you break it down, Spike is the gardian of the element of magic. And Here's the irony. It's possable that Spike's birth and Rainbowdash's Sonic Rainboom might have also signified the death of Spike's predecessor passing on the power of the 7th element to Spike. No element wielder has ever died before in the show except the unknown wielder of the 7th element. It's possable that Celestia may have also been aware of the significance of this when they all recieved their cutiemark. Combined with the knowledge of Twilight's extreme magical talent, it fits nicely into the scene where she is consulting with Luna about passing on Starswirl's book to Twilight. It's also worth noting that in nearly every single adventure where the elements have been playing a part, Spike has either been right by Twilight's side or looking after the home base. Something which only other element users have been allowed to do. Not even Starlight fully reformed has been left unsupervised at the Library or Castle. So Spike is certainly directly in line to be an element wielder. Remember when he was made to use Rainbowdash's element, they actually got a reaction even though Rainbowdash's element didn't activate. Maybe that's a suggestion that 6 wielders were present, but 1 had the wrong element. But we know Spike is not Loyalty. It could be Service to another, or a Guardianship. What attribute does Spike have that stands out about his personality which is not one of the 6 established elements? Because you need 7 colors to complete the Rainbow, not just 6. And that brings up another point. 6 Ponies and 1 Dragon were all changed because of the Sonic Rainboom. This futher ties Spike into the elements more closely than previously thought. We have the 6 elements, Honesty, Loyalty, Kindness, Genarosity, Laughter and Magic. What else makes friendship work? Patience and the Willingness to stand up for your friends or againt them for their own good. As referenced in "Inspiration Manifestation" we see Spike having an elemental challange of his own having to learn to stand up againt Rarity for her own good. He is also the rock on which the whole friendship is built. Without him back in the begining, Twilight would not have had such good initial interactions with all of the other 5 elements. He bridged the gap with FS, helped Twilight eat AJ's food, Found amusement with RD, he Introduced the conversation with PP, Although RB is a bit different. And 1 final point. On Twilight Sparkle's Cutiemark. There's still a white star behind her central star. All the other white marks respresent an element that isn't Twilight. So yeah. confirmed. 7th Element
Most of what you've said i already figured out, however my mind was blown when you said Spike is actually the white star behind Twilight's and him unknowingly having a key episode. It would make sense since Spike is seen as Twilight's support, the one who "always has your back" Besides, we were given 3 Spike episodes in season4. One of them could be his key episode.
@@someteennamedcharles2035 Honestly, I wrote that 2 years ago. But I can tell you I kind of worked some of that out while actually writing my comment. Your response is pause for thought. I'm now going to have to remember to look up and re-watch those 3 episodes. Maybe I'll see something new to add.
you know what would be a good introduction to the seventh element the crystal on the storm king staff which was suppose to belong to scorpan and be part of the tree of harmony is secretly the seventh element that would explain why the sisters didnt know about it because they were the second people to find the tree of harmony maybe in the next season they will tie it in for the fans like maybe after the pillars disappear scorpan return to see if the seed bare fruit and it did but he notice a branch fell off and he made that branch into the staff that the storm king stole maybe scorpan will have a arc in the finale or premier of the next season and they explain how maybe he was the one who found spike's egg and he gave it to celestia and luna and a tie-in to generation 3 spike who was suppose to train a princess, celestia gave twilight the egg hatching test to see if she will become a princess, like thats how she knew twilight will become a princess
I think the 7th element is Aid/Helping. Helping friends do things is a key part of friendship. You go help them clean, move, Work on projects etc. what would friendship be without helping each other or lending aid in times of need
the element of "hope" would be fitting I think :o though there seem to be many options to choose from, in terms of what it could be...but also, like the other elements, all characters were born with matching colors to their Elements and spike just happens to be mainly green and purple, the purple bits could be another hint to being so close to the element of magic, while the green bits represent the literal "seed". also green is quite often associated with hope and new beginnings and spike is the only character we know who was literally born into this world when the mane six found their purpose....
the school's emblem that spike holds has twilight's cutie-mark in the middle, surrounded by all six of the "gems" of harmony, including the green one. so you might be right about that. just look at episodes like Triple Threat, where spike was called by the map, or when spike stepped in between discord and starlight to stop them from fighting. It would make sense because he returned the peace with ember and thorax, and at least tried to calm starlight down. It does sound like an interesting theory, but all we can do is guess.
That's a good theory, Dr. Wolf. You're on a roll with theories lately; at first I was doubtful about your suspicion of Cozy Glow, but the evidence only built up in your favor. Spike being the 7th element would be interesting, though I still like MagpiePony making Trixe the 7th element, the element of forgiveness.
There's something I would like to bring up that I think supports this theory of Scorpan being possibly the seventh pillar and creator of the possible seventh element of harmony. In order for a normal tree to grow strong, it needs tender care and devotion. During the video, I thought at first that Clover the Clever would be the suggested seventh pillar. This would make sense, considering Clover the Clever would be naturally devoted to Starswirl's work and continuing it while he was gone. I think think that might be the case, but Celestia never said how long Scorpan was in Equestria before leaving. So, where would he have been? I believe he put tireless devotion into protecting the tree until it grew strong enough to be able to fend for itself. And I think that the possible seventh element is what kept the tree strong until the main six put their elements back into the tree. I think that the seventh element is not needed for the elements to work because it is a catalyst. It strengthens the elements. And who but Spike to cause the seventh element to appear? Sunset Shimmer did it in the human world. So, Spike could do it in Equestria
[Spoiler alert] Not only do the books about the elements prove this theory. The statue thing in the Palace of the 2 sisters, where the Elements come out of, also possibly prove this theory. As some of us may know that the Element of Magic comes out of the big sphere in the centre of the statue and then in certain scenes of the first season, we can see 6 other smaller spheres other than the Element of Magic sphere.
Let's not forget that in the episode where spike was becoming greedy and growing, in the pile of stuff there is an element still encased in stone among the things spike hoarded.
Yeah Purple:Power Blue:Space Red:Reality Orange:Soul Green:Time Yellow:Mind "Use reality stone to invisible the gauntlet and hide my back and snap my finger"
Actually, EG director Ishi Rudell confirmed on Twitter that there's a seventh element: Empathy. And he also said that Sunset bears it, but (and i'm quoting) "in our world". So there's still somepony in Equestria who bears the seventh element. But who?
Spike should be the element of chivalry. :) since I've always seen Spike owning qualities a knight would have like kindness to women, nobility, loyalty, and selflessness.
Is not "kindness to women"; but "service/digilence to lesser nobles" [a _peasant woman_ would not be of higher status than the mare the knight rides]; the fact that the "style" is different is just a cultural thing [while the _universality_ of chivalry remains]. -> In modern terms, it would be "duty to fellow citizens" (again, there is no _gender requirment_ ); that are either disabled or weak enough that help/service MUST be provided by the code.
Thank you Argamis. You widdened the definition perfectly. I completely agree with you. Which reminds me, Spike does more than help ponies, he helped Changlings, Phoenixs, dragons although they were mean to him, and other creatures. When Spike is needed he steps up to serve immediately. He lives to the code.
Good point Shalisha! -> The moment Spike had his "Rainbow Epìphany" was back in S2 when he refused to KILL an unborn bird ( Peewee the Phoenix ), even if it that would mean losing his "membership" on the dragon gang and/or is own life.
I always felt there would eventually be a 7th element introduced given how it is considered one of the most magical numbers in existence. My guess it will be either Sacrifice or Forgiveness.
It makes sense. All of the other Element Bearers were bonded by the first Sonic Rainboom... Spike was BORN because of the rainboom.
Sonic?????
Smartfren Andromax Where did you hear this? I would like to read more.

Tirek: "The six of you"

(This happens repeatedly in the episode)
This might be alluding to the seventh element?
Paper Mortal yeah
It is spike
Sunset shimmer is 7th Harmony
Awww
@XSunsetMLP she doesn't have one but she should
This makes a major amount of sense. And also kinda matches up with what we saw in Equestria Girls where there are SEVEN Geodes naturally created rather than six as in Equestria.
A friend of mine suggested this seventh Element is TRUST, which would make a lot of sense for both Spike AND Sunset Shimmer.
Hm. That might actually work.
Ohh yes trust definitely sounds like it could be the element! I'm betting my money on either trust or forgiveness!
Hmm Idk about trust but one of the staff of Mlp said sunset was the element of empathy
Definitely Spike. He's green, and the harmony is. I'm not sure about Sunset Shimmer, she is a mix of red and orange. Like, a sunset of course.
@@boopledoople I support that theory!

Spike is Scorpan adjutant.. if you didn't know.
It doesn't make sense
Makes sense, the tree had a sun and moon from the beginning because if harmony was maintained throughout equestria then only the unicorn/alicorn were able to maintain the day and night cycle. Like when we talk about nightmare moon she broke the harmony and even which caused a little bit of imbalance in the day and night cycle so it whole makes sense. Not only nightmare moon but villains like storm king and tirek are even related to the reason why the the day and night cycle were imbalanced

D Doritos Where has it been confirmed?
I like how Sunset and Starlight seem to be the seventh element of harmony in each of their worlds: empathy.
Glad I'm not the only one who believes in this !
Chelnah the Egghead no I rather Starlight not be an EOH (element of harmony )
Starlight doesn't really show empathy tho that much. Sunset definitely, but Starlight not really. Trust could be, but maybe determination? (no, it's not an undertale reference). She out of anyone in the series shows alot of determination.
Chelnah the Egghead Jusstice is for fitting for Starlight.
By the way, Sunset bears Twilight's Element while Sci-Twi bears the green one.
Starlight could be the element of forgiveness, and I think that fits her more better than empathy, eve though she's been showing more empathy as she's gained more experience in friendship.

Spike is the 7th element, the element of sacrifice 😌
Spike becomes it the 7th element of Harmony that means I'll be right on saying that you don't have to be a pony to get an element. If there was a 7th element I have always been thinking the element of support
Oh, Support! That what I was looking for!
Yeah, that's the right word.
I always thought he was the element of encouragement, since he's forever telling people to not shy away from challenges and helping them overcome their problems.
If its spike, and it follows the theme of being the "elements of harmony", i think a fitting title for him would be the element of companionship
I agree. I mean, spike is always Twilight's companion. He can NEVER be replaced! :3
@@eduardosangil1946 True that!
Frosty LOL And is always there for Rarity, even if she doen't return his feelings.
Companionship or heart. Either or work really well for him.
I'll say "support" would be the best one for Spike if he becomes an element.
I mean, scorpan’s medallion was a key for the tree of harmony’s chest in Twilight’s Kingdom so...
@@CeltycSparrow me too!
It has to be Spike he has the closes relationship to Twilight they been friends for a long time.I mean think the 6th element of harmony is green
I can see him being the Element of Support.
@ Jasso Dubose
It goes way more deeper than Friends.

So let's see:
Rarity = Affection
Rainbow Dash = Encouragement/Devotion
Applejack = Candor / Integrity?
And the other three seem pretty fitting, but let's re-label them for fun too:
Pinkie-Pie = Joyfulness/Celebration
Fluttershy = Gentleness
Twilight Sparkle = Empathy? Understanding? And I guess Magic is just Magic.
As for Digimon Adventure, I'm guessing the Japanese names you cited are from that show? I've only watched Digimon Tamers so far.
I think it’s the element of courage spike’s stepped many times he’s deserves the green element

@Sundance Diva
No there is not. Grogar was probably they adopted grandfather. Speaking also about that it should be quite obvious until now that Trixie Lulamoon may have something to do with Luna, as much as Starlight with Flurry Heart and Celestia.
which could be spikes mother!
@Nightcore Bright
Theory need have some logic explanation, even if it based on speculation.
Myabe then: Sacrifice -> Trust ?
trust is kinda like honesty
I'll always hold out hope that Sunset Shimmer gets some sort of role in the main series. Her having an element of harmony, while maybe a stretch, would make me REALLY happy.
I think the old '7th Element Wielder' was Clover the Clever
Ugly-Duckling 123 it cloud be Clover the Clever, but we'll have to see what the writers have in mind about the 7th element
That's what I'm thinking too. It definitely makes sense to me. ^^
@@JazzyWaffles Starswirl must be unnaturally long-lived then, considering how much happens between the founding of Equestria and Luna's banishment we're looking at several generations at least.
Thank you! I have noticed that with the shield too! Though admittedly I completely missed it with the tree. (Oops and I consider myself an observant person)
I am very curious to find out what they have planned as far as elements go.
Nice theory.
I might do a video on it, once I can work out the problems I'm having.
Wait? Maybe it what kicks off g5? The tree grows tears the world apart makes the spreats everyone to there other worlds?
If g5 follows after the events of g4, I'll be happy.
I love the idea that not only is there a seventh element, but there's a possibility of new fruit. If you haven't yet please make this a fanfic.

Spike The Element Of Slavery
element of Trust? Support? Helpfulness? just guessing.
I hope spike gets his chance too be a hero, like the main 6. Other wise he will be just another punching bag.
He will do nothing in S8 and S9. He was always a joke character that no writer ever liked. And he won't be in G5.
A joke character wouldn't have done the things that he did up until now.
Nick Bleker Right and he has done a lot of stuff you can’t ignore that
Nick Bleker don't get me wrong, I love spike and all he has done, I would like home too get a BIG HERO moment like twilight vs Terack. That's all I hope for.
You have some pretty interesting ideas in this video, Dr. Wolf. I always enjoy hearing your thoughts on MLP lore. Thanks for sharing this with us! ^_^
Another commenter mentioned that Spike could represent trust, which inspired me to think that another good quality for him might be faith.
I think its spike 100%. But theres one other pony that is now connected to the main six by the sonic rainboom. And thats Starlight Glimmer.
his element might be the element of sacrifice
Yeah on that shield. Twilight ins the huge star in the middle and no one has the green one so it HAS to be Spike

hmmm....
this makes me think of a new oc!
an oc who took the 7th element of harmony off of the tree and used it to become more powerful, and soon realized they needed the other 6 to make theirs operate, and when they went back to get the other elements, Celestia and Luna had already taken them to defeat Discord!
Please answer these questions for me, dear people of the internet:
Male or female?
Mythrill Dragon HES MORE LOYALTY THAN DASHIE!
@@kokomine5732 Lol....
I'd probably say Nobility.
Imagine the 7 chaos emeralds represent an element.
Someone forward this video to the show's team! They need to know this idea and make it happen next season.
Spike: Element of unity
this could also explain why it is the mane 7 in equestria girls movies.
sunset shimmer supposedly getting passed the element of magic from pony twi.
then there is the mane 6 conterparts. this 7 elements could also make a connection why there is the mane 7 in the human world instead of it just being the mane 6.
But i love this idea of it being spike in the pony world especially since sunset no longer lives in the pony world.
YES! Spike should deserve a 7th Element of Harmony, The Element of... Courage!
And Spike deserves to be with Rarity for that too.
Cody Lane are u reading my mind I think the same thing spike and rarity as always but I thought should be courage or unity since he’s show each one of the elements once
Cody Lane the Dragon no NO spike and rarity I don't want to see that
That also goes with my headcanon that Spike's egg was a gift to Celestia from Scorpan, and Celestia's admission test was to search for one connected to harmony.
This would've been a great reveal! Alas, the idea is not relegated to the aether known as fanfiction.
Yeees, please! Spike needs more love! What would his element be? Heart? Clarity? Reason? He's always the one to bring Twilight back down when she's losing it, and he has all of those snarky one liners after all.
I think spike element is growth.
Sunset shimmer could be the 7th element of harmony, she'd be the element of forgiveness this also connects to Stygian's role as the 7th element.
Well obviously. The worthy bearer of that element is Sunset or Spike.
My money is on Sunset. She's totally worthy.
I doubt it
@@medina6881
Don't doubt me.
Starlight or Spike would be more fitting
Nah. Clearly Sunset should return to Equestria and get some wings. Sunset Shimmer, Princess of Redemption.
genius11433 or of Grace/mercy
It's sad that they never did anything with this.
It's the element of surprise!!!!
I am 100% sure that the element is definitly Spike.
It would make sense since Spike is seen as Twilight's support, the one who "always has your back"
Besides, we were given 3 Spike episodes in season4.
"Kinda makes you think, doesn't it?"
Geez, I could hear the smirk in your voice there
you know what would be a good introduction to the seventh element
the crystal on the storm king staff which was suppose to belong to scorpan and be part of the tree of harmony is secretly the seventh element
that would explain why the sisters didnt know about it because they were the second people to find the tree of harmony
maybe in the next season they will tie it in for the fans
like maybe after the pillars disappear scorpan return to see if the seed bare fruit and it did but he notice a branch fell off and he made that branch into the staff that the storm king stole
maybe scorpan will have a arc in the finale or premier of the next season
and they explain how maybe he was the one who found spike's egg and he gave it to celestia and luna
and a tie-in to generation 3 spike who was suppose to train a princess, celestia gave twilight the egg hatching test to see if she will become a princess, like thats how she knew twilight will become a princess
I think the 7th element is Aid/Helping. Helping friends do things is a key part of friendship. You go help them clean, move, Work on projects etc. what would friendship be without helping each other or lending aid in times of need
What element of Harmony will Spike be put as as though?
Courage
the element of "hope" would be fitting I think :o though there seem to be many options to choose from, in terms of what it could be...but also, like the other elements, all characters were born with matching colors to their Elements and spike just happens to be mainly green and purple, the purple bits could be another hint to being so close to the element of magic, while the green bits represent the literal "seed". also green is quite often associated with hope and new beginnings and spike is the only character we know who was literally born into this world when the mane six found their purpose....
the school's emblem that spike holds has twilight's cutie-mark in the middle, surrounded by all six of the "gems" of harmony, including the green one. so you might be right about that. just look at episodes like Triple Threat, where spike was called by the map, or when spike stepped in between discord and starlight to stop them from fighting. It would make sense because he returned the peace with ember and thorax, and at least tried to calm starlight down. It does sound like an interesting theory, but all we can do is guess.
Animators: *make a mistake*
Theorists: _It's free real estate._
@Hannah Papernick-Yudin This is one of the points I've made as well! Glad someone else agrees!
[Spoiler alert]
Not only do the books about the elements prove this theory.
