I don't think Maud fits as the element of gloom. She's just bad at expressing emotion, not sad. She even says that she expresses her emotions differently, and she cracks a joke at the Gala that got everyone laughing. Personally, I think the element of gloom should be Troubleshoes. Friendship is magic...it's opposed element would be loneliness. dark magic is loneliness. Sunset shimmer is still the best choice. Her isolation in the human world would only feed her magic.
One thing I find interesting looking back on the opening is that "magic" was an assumption/guess on the spot by Twilight as to what the 6th element was. Having seen the season 4 finale I think she got the title wrong from the start, it was never magic but rather the 6th element is and always was friendship.
The 'Rainbow Rocks' previews make it clear that Shimmer is making a genuine bid at redemption, with help from the HuMane 6, so she no longer works. Even in my version, where she's replaced Twilight as the holder of the Element of Magic, she still is trying to be a good friend, at least until Twilight, Gearhead, and Spike can make it back. Assuming they can. Haven't written that part yet, and they're up against some tough odds.

+theTWILIGHThunter I think you had some good decisions, but hear me out, these are my opinion. Discord is sort of ish-ish. If you actually watch the series... His reputation is on the line. He says he has truly turned good, and is trying to be one with harmony... But we don't know that for sure. Pinkamena is technically Pinkie Pie... Which doesn't make much sense... I think Maud makes the most sense. She means well, but is always gloomy, and not that emotional. I just think that the elements of Disharmony you chose are so much more "powerful" that it seems unbalanced! Teirek wasn't that selfish either.. Sure he just wanted power all to himself, but, aren't all villains like that? NM has redeemed herself, the only pony she has betrayed is herself. Luna has fully accepted herself, and NM is no longer a fear. I think Chrysalis is perfect for deceit though. Sombra didn't show any enhanced cruelty. He wasn't anything special like a SUPERDUPEREXTREMELY cruel king. He was just that evil. Heck you could say Tirek was cruelty. Not really though. Well those are my thoughts. :)

I got to be one of the craziest ponies there is I was sent to the teacher so she can call my parents but I told her I didn't have any she got well mad and she thinked I was faking also any she pulled my horn and wings not knowing that they are real when she finally found out that they where she fainted, when she finally wakes up she took me to the doctors to see if it was real the doctor was really a changeling who was trying to find a young alcorn so it can kidnap the Alcoran, take it back to its hive give it to queen crisilis so she can take its magic and take over I was scared for my life when the testing came back and showed that I was a alcorn . my teacher once again fainted. the changeling stared at me then sprayed sleep gas at me then I fell asleep. when it took me to its hive I was still asleep then it throwed me into a cell in front of the queen. I waked up when my head hit the bars. I put my hoves on my head in pain. the queen walked to the cell that I was in and I was still scared for my life when she picked me up with her magic. she stared at me when she saw both my horn and wings then she knew that I was an alcorn. she kept me in the air telling me what's going to happen. I got scared and angry so I once again turned black and red with anger. the queen stared at me with a considered look on her face. I was so angry that I turned black and red on one half of my body and the other half was my normal white,silver and gold. I let out a huge burst of magic ganing the atenchion of princess Luna and all the other ponies. I flew out of the hive with a dizzy look on my face before I fainted in mid air then princess Luna saw me falling out of the sky and flew as fast as she can to get me she did and flew me back to her kingdom where she ruled with her sister celesta. celesta stared at Luna then at me in Luna's hoves then she See's my horn thinking I'm a unicorn but Luna turned me over and showing celesta my wings. celesta was in shock when she saw both. they both knew that I was a alcorn and they saw my cutey mark of a crystal sun and moon. when I finally waked up I knew then I was a new princess named Dawn . the next day I went to school everyone stopped looking at diamond tiara then looked at me when I came in with new clothes a crown and the wavy mane and tail. they all gasped and so did diamond tiara when she finally knows she bulled a princess. I continued to come to school everyday and play with my friends and now I'm princess Dawn
Other than Diamond Tiara, all the elements of harmony are directly connected to their corresponding element of disharmony. Diamond Tiara and Sunset Shimmer also both reformed, so I suspect that there will be two new candidates, one who clashes with Fluttershy and one who clashes with Twilight.
So.. you've done a review about this with the Brony notion. But what if with his Jedi like theory. The magic element was a trump card. The element both had. Only 1 made. Until good magic sealed it's fate with that side and used it to shatter/scatter the elements across equestria. How do you think of that theory

I think, the element of disharmony bearers would be: Evil Magic (enmity): Sombra, I mean, he's like the imbodyment of un-friendship in a way, (also I like the theory that he created the alicorn amulet). Cruelty: Garble, I mean, do I really need to say why I think he would be a good element of Cruelty? Selfishness (greed): Still Prince Blueblood... Deceit: Still Flim and Flam... Betrayal: Tirek, He betrayed discord and would betray anyone who wanted to work with him. Gloom: Still Maud... and that's my Element Of Disharmony list :3.

Michaela Joyce Estabillo -_- I don't think anyone is getting what the element of Magic actually is, Magic is just a (sort of) clever way of saying the element of Friendship, because friendship IS magic -_- and look at all the other elements, Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Loyalty, they're all things that are important in any relationship, but if the last one was Magic like just, magic spells, it wouldn't really fit in the elements of harmony, I find it confusing how anyone can even consider the thought that the element of magic just means magic spells, I think it's stupid, especially cause the NAME of the show is Friendship Is Magic -_- so Twilight's element is the element of friendship, cause otherwise it would be more like just a.... Element... just an element of the world or something, but not an element of harmony. I don't see how people miss what it really is, it just seems silly, please don't think I'm being rude, i'm not saying you or anybody who thinks that is stupid, I'm just saying that that's not what it is.

Friendship is magic...it's opposed element would be loneliness. dark magic is loneliness. Sunset shimmer is still the best choice. Her isolation in the human world would only feed her magic.
What about King Sombra? He's a powerful unicorn that clearly hasn't made a lot of friends.

So, no shadows or undeads. And Sunset shimmer's past does make her a better contrast to Twilight.
One thing I find interesting looking back on the opening is that "magic" was an assumption/guess on the spot by Twilight as to what the 6th element was. Having seen the season 4 finale I think she got the title wrong from the start, it was never magic but rather the 6th element is and always was friendship.
The 'Rainbow Rocks' previews make it clear that Shimmer is making a genuine bid at redemption, with help from the HuMane 6, so she no longer works. Even in my version, where she's replaced Twilight as the holder of the Element of Magic, she still is trying to be a good friend, at least until Twilight, Gearhead, and Spike can make it back. Assuming they can. Haven't written that part yet, and they're up against some tough odds.

Discord is sort of ish-ish. If you actually watch the series... His reputation is on the line. He says he has truly turned good, and is trying to be one with harmony... But we don't know that for sure. Pinkamena is technically Pinkie Pie... Which doesn't make much sense... I think Maud makes the most sense. She means well, but is always gloomy, and not that emotional. I just think that the elements of Disharmony you chose are so much more "powerful" that it seems unbalanced! Teirek wasn't that selfish either.. Sure he just wanted power all to himself, but, aren't all villains like that? NM has redeemed herself, the only pony she has betrayed is herself. Luna has fully accepted herself, and NM is no longer a fear. I think Chrysalis is perfect for deceit though. Sombra didn't show any enhanced cruelty. He wasn't anything special like a SUPERDUPEREXTREMELY cruel king. He was just that evil. Heck you could say Tirek was cruelty. Not really though.

I got scared and angry so I once again turned black and red with anger. the queen stared at me with a considered look on her face. I was so angry that I turned black and red on one half of my body and the other half was my normal white,silver and gold. I let out a huge burst of magic ganing the atenchion of princess Luna and all the other ponies. I flew out of the hive with a dizzy look on my face before I fainted in mid air then princess Luna saw me falling out of the sky and flew as fast as she can to get me
she did and flew me back to her kingdom where she ruled with her sister celesta. celesta stared at Luna then at me in Luna's hoves then she See's my horn thinking I'm a unicorn but Luna turned me over and showing celesta my wings. celesta was in shock when she saw both. they both knew that I was a alcorn and they saw my cutey mark of a crystal sun and moon. when I finally waked up I knew then I was a new princess named Dawn . the next day I went to school everyone stopped looking at diamond tiara then looked at me when I came in with new clothes a crown and the wavy mane and tail. they all gasped and so did diamond tiara when she finally knows she bulled a princess. I continued to come to school everyday and play with my friends and now I'm princess Dawn

Other than Diamond Tiara, all the elements of harmony are directly connected to their corresponding element of disharmony. Diamond Tiara and Sunset Shimmer also both reformed, so I suspect that there will be two new candidates, one who clashes with Fluttershy and one who clashes with Twilight.
