It´s not as overwhelming as it looks, since you can delegate most of your tasks to your assistants, but yes, in order to do really well at the game you need to dedicate a lot of time to it.
I used to be an avid CM/FM player, but these latest FM-games are just no fun at all. RNG is all over the place. Also, paying RL money for an editor is just bullshit.

I don't remember a FM game where it was easy to sell unwanted players. That was never easy. Then again, I rarely played with the big clubs so maybe it was easier there.
was easier if u played a big club cuz often those unwanted players was often good enought for the mid to smaller clubs, unless u had a price that scared them off of course :P
Its definitely a better game. Matches engine is better as players make better decisions, AI squad building is better, player interaction is better, data hub is great
@Valentine my best game is Fm12 I brought Fm13 then went back to Fm12 then didn't buy another until Fm20 which to me is great. FM ain't s game to buy every year trust me you will appreciate them more when you leave at least a 3 year gap
@@iaindw1 I'll wait a few more editions as I'm enjoying my save with my beloved Millwall fc, in season 34/35 In my 15th seasons with 2 club take overs in that time if I can make it to 20 seasons I will leave for a challenge in another league as I'm playing with 5 other leagues aswell as 4 English ones
u can delegate a lot of stuff to your assistant, but some things are better if u do yourself. I started playing in 2019 and in these four years the game have been the same from that pov that if I played after 2019 this, I could play this rellay well. So yes, I think it is more complicated but not too much.
@@NorthernAnt tactis, signing, subs are probably the things u should manage by yourself. you can pass the training to assistant, so make sure you have a good assistant. Also scouting and loaning players is things I would recomend to do

Of course, there are also the pretend meetings, in which you pick whichever drop down default 'conversation' responses will end the meeting as quickly and painlessly as possible ... just like my work day. Check your calendar and see a match day coming in two FM 'days' ... an eon of game play later and the match day is only one 'day' away.

final verdict is that FM22 has not lived up to pre release hype. too many changes. Match engine has improved but thats it. New data hub is just too too much.
Just bought it. Hadnt bought one since 2019.......... Very disappointed in this new version. 2019 looked better. Even the game play looked better. Some of the misses in this are ridiculous. Haaland one on one and he scoops it out nearly by the corner flag. Just looks bad. Also all the help with picking teams/making subs etc kinda takes the fun out of it. I know you can ignore that(I do) but it just feels wrong. Dont like the yth/b team set up now either. its an extra click or 2 to get to see those squads. And finally the health indicator(percentages is gone) really is annoying. Most of the time Ive no idea how fit the players on the pitch are. The assistant tells me b4 ht that such and such player has given his all and needs to be subbed.... BEFORE HALF TIME.... dafuq.. and these players are fully fit before kick off. Not playing them injured. In real life you dont see players out on their feet b4 half time. So much about this game that seems like a step backwards rather then forwards... And all this data hub stuff is just more complications. Theyre taking the fun out of it. ... Id love a game where you can buy and sell players easily enuff and mainly where you can make lots of tactical changes and any individual tactical changes u want.. not just the ones the tactical setting allows & less of all the little gimmicky data hub complications. I expected so much since I hadnt bought it in a few years and am really disappointed in it. Its meh. Not worth the money. Wait till next year.

How are there to many changes? The data hub is useful but if you find it overwhelming you can play the game without ever looking at it.

This game is too difficult for me, I just can play Fifa and focus on Football match more than a lot of Info need to do in FM22
Worst match engine in years. Feels scripted. I have over 1000 hours in this version and it's definitely the one i've enjoyed the least in a long time.
