@Black, Christian, Templar Yes indeed.
I love your videos, especially these teaching lessons. It will come in handy because I am planning to move from Slovenia to Iceland end of August. It has lot of words that are very similar to lets say english and german, counting is actually the same as here in Slovenia, just pronouncinations of the numbers is different.
Im learning a bit! Im from turkey but live in Denmark! Love Scandinavian people! ❤
Nice video greeting from the Netherlands! 🙃💕
It's always interesting to see the similarities in languages, like months or numbers sounding similar
Fun fact: "sex" was "six" also in Latin (the ancestor of my language, Italian) and probably from which "nowadays" Icelandic tapped into in a moderate extent.
Thank you so much for this!!! I can't pronounce some difficult sounds yet but I'll keep watching and learning 😊
Also I love how some months sound similar to their names in Russian? Like January and August. It's such a small thing but it's awesome :) looking forward to ep 3!!
I'm just in love because it's difficult to find good audio for islandic-starter
@5:40 "numbers that come with the month"
the word you did not know to describe such numbers in english is "ordinal"
you wanted to recite the ordinal numbers: first, second, third...
numbers that assign order = ordinal numbers
im starting to learn icelandic, i want to visit iceland, it is very beautiful. i stumbled across your channel, thank you for doing what you are doing!
I’m currently learning German because it’s my favorite language but I also love Icelandic because it’s so hard sounding and complex
I am from Germany and going to learn Icelandic. I love Iceland and the language and the nature... I love all of the country. In Germany we pronounce the months like in Icelandic, that is great.
In many European languages the months are quite the same :)
Thanks for the lesson! You're awesome and very beautiful too!!!
