After listening to the translator you nearly nailed the pronunciation of "Kugelschreiber". It's just that our "r" as an uvular consonant sounds a little different and less remarkable (and less beautiful ;-)) than the Icelandic version of the letter.
As a rule, our "u" sounds like your "ú" and our diphtong "ei" sounds like your "æ".
I am currently learning Icelandic. Although it's really tough, it's fun to discover the parallels to German. While the grammar seems impossible to master, I find it comparably easy to pick up the pronuniciation ... well, except for the letters "ð", "l" and "r". In general, the complexity levels of those two languages seem to be comparable.

Google translate isn't always very trustable. However, there are ways to give them correcting feedback, if that interests you.

Hello there, I'm French, I really like your videos (and I love your country) but...
That's absolutely not how "câlin" is pronounced 😂, even Google translate is wrong lmao

Je viens de faire traduire "câlin" avec Google Translate et la prononciation est bonne: translate.google.de/#view=home&op=translate&sl=fr&tl=de&text=c%C3%A2lin
Ce qu'elle a fait apparemment, ce de choisir "anglais" comme langue d'origine. Ça même donne la voix qu'on entend dans le vidéo: translate.google.de/#view=home&op=translate&sl=en&tl=de&text=c%C3%A2lin

@@jensraab2902 still, that's not how "câlin" is pronounced in French. 😕
Anyway, just wanted to let anyone learning French that it's not how you pronounced it.

@@gwendaltlgreen9953 Well, I don't know the sound file that's played on your end.
Doesn't "câlin" rhyme with "machin"? And isn't the "câl" bit pronounced as in "Calais"?
ETA: Hmmm..., I just listened to the Google pronunciation again and it sounds more like "quel lin". Is that what bothers you?
