Lucifer is basically a teenage boy - afraid of rejection and totally insecure. Hence his fear of going “out” with Chloe. Also - Keep in mind that he is the Lightbringer. I think the Goddess truly does love her sons but she is totally self absorbed. Remember in episode 2-2 Lucy implies that the reason the Goddess was sent to Hell was because she was the source of all the plagues and natural disasters on Earth. She may love her sons but she doesn’t think of humans as having any value at all and can’t understand why anyone else would.
Side note: now we have a better idea of just how much willpower Dan has. Enough to resist Azrael's blade, but not enough to resist the Goddess of All Creation! 😀
You hit the nail on the head in your discussion. Lucifer's issue is fear. He has feelings for Chloe, although he probably doesn't understand them, because he has never felt those feelings before. But he wants Chloe in his life, and he fears that if he reveals himself to her, she will reject him and push him away. He can't bear to think of losing whatever relationship he has with her, even if just friends. Love your long discussions about the episodes, by the way.
I think you’re correct that Mom does love her kids - I think she just also has very specific things that she wants and she’s willing to do a lot to get them. Also, she just doesn’t *get* a lot of things - especially about Lucifer. Remember how baffled she’s been as to why Lucifer seems to like humans so much! Humans, to the Goddess, aren’t worth her time or attention (except as tools, as a means to an end) and she has a hard time understanding why any of her children would see them differently. She is, in short, not very emotionally intelligent. As for how she treats Amenadiel versus Lucifer - I think it’s less about which one she thinks is more important or powerful and more about needing to convince Lucifer to be on her side. She’s already got Amenadiel on board - she doesn’t have to convince Amenadiel to want to come back to Heaven with her, he’s always wanted that! Lucifer is a much tougher sell, and therefore requires a lot more of her attention. That won’t necessarily stop Amenadiel from being a bit jealous, however. Another great reaction! I dont think she being tall has nothing to do with her being a divine being... You guys are forgetting that she is possessing Charlottes's body which simply means that Charlotte was tall. I dont even think she has an actual form
They seem to focus on the fact that she is outrageously tall with the shots they include in the show. Yes, she is in a tall human body BUT also I think they mean to remind the audience that she's a powerful goddess with these shots
Next episodes are one of my favourites, they are really important and beautiful to the whole history for this show, I can't wait for you to react to it!

Lucifer's Mom do I even need to say the B word 1 thing I've learned from this show every being that's divine or celestial is basically a prick or bitch all because they feel so self entitled except for Lucifer and Maze he finally feels in a place where he is welcomed and respected even but that kinda happens when you are or were Lord of Hell just saying Lucy people can either be afraid of you or be respectful of you and I know which 1 you like more

Lucifer wants to stay on Earth because of Chole that part is totally clear now to even his mother she thought it was Lux but talking Linda she seen it between Lucifer and Chole on the dance floor. The problem with Lucifer mother is she wants to go back to Heaven right now in her heart its clearly about revenge she needs Lucifer to even have a chance to win it. Yet she is kind of selfish that way but who does that remind you of deep down its where Lucifer really gets his selfishness from mother. She loves her kids that's not a lie at all clearly pissed at her husband wait can you get a divorce as a goddess ? don't think god believes in that either so odds are they're hitched still just saying its all about her being upset with GOD she figures Chole out of the way my son will go with her back to Heaven I don't think she realizes what would or will happen to her if anything happens to Chole.
