Hey everyone!😋 thank you so much for the love on this first Lucifer reaction!! Just letting you know that YES it is a permanent show on the channel!! It started as a request on Patreon and has been only on there ever since but I decided to add it to the weekly schedule since I enjoyed it so much🥳 I leave the part about the request in the RUclips videos as well because I want to give credit to the person who had been requesting it for many months before today💕 so the whole first season has been watched as a request and I’m starting season 2 next week on Patreon🤓 already watched the first two episodes and OH MY, the excitement is real (I mean come on! his MOM???) allllright see you next thursday🫶🏻

That's actually Tom's real accent. He just happens to be an actor who can mimic an American accent if a role needs it.
his real accent is a welsh accent, this is a posh english accent
@@AUmica01 no, he was born in Wales but raised in Sheffield and then lived in London. It is his actual accent, maybe turned up a little bit.
Now we’re talking!! Lucifer has brilliant character development and is my favourite tv show (along with Outlander and A Discovery of Witches). Looking forward to seeing you fall in love with Tom Ellis!

Hey! I watched the pilot last summer and finished the last series before Christmas, what a brilliant series Lucifer is, the writing and acting was spot on, the mixture of comedy with police work was finely tuned, Tom Ellis' is such lovely guy

You are going to love this show as it unfolds and gets better as it progresses! Not only do they reveal the "backstory" as you indicated, but they are really good at weaving an intricate tapestry of major and minor plot twists that all link together - both backwards and forwards in time. These are quite frankly some of the best show writers ever!
Two pointers: 1) do not watch this from some network cache, only watch it from the original source, Netflix. The reason is, if it is from a saved network airing, they routinely cut out from 5-8 minutes of the show at random for extra commercials. And every single word and phrase, and gesture is important to the story - I have watched other reactors who don't use Netflix as the source and they miss so much and have questions because of the bad "cuts".
2) Related to point 1, make sure you listen carefully - if you feel the need to comment, hit pause and comment - but talking over the dialogue and you will miss things, important things, or the incredible number of humorous quips Lucifer and others throw out all the time.
If you know the Judaeo-Christian stories, you already have most of the backstory. They pretty much go with the story of how Lucifer (which means Light Bringer in Latin) as one of God's most powerful Arch Angels, and who was tempted to rebel against God and God then sent him to Hell where he has ruled.... These show writers throw in some most intriguing twists to the basic myth that you will find fascinating....
I'm so glad you brought up that point. Lucifer has so much great dialogue, many are just short throw-away lines. But they are really funny, and some reactors talk so much that they miss a lot of great dialogue.

Thank you for the pointers😋 just letting you know that writing this comment I watched until Season 2 episode 2 so I apologize if I talk over dialogue I can’t remember if it’s a lot lol but I think it shouldn’t be too bad! Also, I started watching it on Netflix but until a certain point I wasn’t able to record the screen on Netflix for any shows… so I found other sources, I still try it every time but the screen just blacks out when I start the recording only leaving the sound! i’ll see what I can do about that, don’t want to miss anything
@@eviereacts I didn't notice you doing that at all. I think we were just pointing out what we've seen some others do. It's amazing, but some reactors basically carry on such a running conversation during the show, especially when there is more than one of them, that they really do miss a lot. :)

@@eviereacts Excellent. I will be subbing next week then. Also, in case you were not already aware, or told, the episode titles are often phrases that some character utters during that episode. In addition, the music should be of particular note as much of the music in an episode has specific application to the episode's subject, or of Lucifer. Usually when he is at the piano singing.

fun fact, not only biblical character but this exact Lucifer is DC Comics character (you know, like the Flash, Batman, Superman)
Undoubtedly one of the best series of the decade. watching it was not easy, however. "they stopped" it almost after every season, then a new one appeared, and so on until the end. however, what an end!!You would never guess how it all ends!!

imagine Eve and Maze holding each other's hands and then Fais comes and shouts motherhood, who turns out to be Pierce, then Maze shouts to him with a smile who is my favorite son😂😂😂
(It's not really how Maze would react, but it's funnier than the usual reaction, at least that's what I think)
The Biblical Lucifer would trade favors for souls the show version of Lucifer makes deals he gives them something in exchange for a favor later in some cases like in the pilot the favor he requests is simple and often non-malicious but its not always that cut and dry
“He has a acent” the actor is british but he can do an american acent they just decided to let him use his normal acent and give the devil a britosh accent

Lucifer doesn't help people (at least not initially) he punishes them. He wants to team up with Chloe to punish bad guys, just like he did in hell.

If I could have watched all 6 seasons of this show straight through without sleeping, I would have.
This is my first time watching your channel and I was really excited by the fact that you recognized the actor who played Principal Wood. Far too few people recognize him from Buffy! And even fewer recognize Graham from Buffy! Good job! 😁 And I see that you're also reacting to a lot of my favorite shows, so I look forward to seeing more of your reactions to this show and others!

I was thinking the same thing and was going to comment but saw yours. A number of reactors that I've watched that reacted to both Lucifer & Buffer watched Buffy after Lucifer. A number have never seen Buffy. Haven't seen any that didn't love Buffy and the intro music.
@@ThePharaz It’s funny cause I deleted the banner that I had on RUclips not long ago, it said Evie The Show Reactor with the Buffy font also with a picture of me dressed as Buffy for Halloween when I was 8😭 I will love this show with my last breath it had such a huge impact on me!! I would recognize an actor from Buffy anywhere! So happy to see that a lot of Buffy lovers love Lucifer so much, I understand why I do too🫶🏻

The series helps to put a different view on the devil. Understandable and comprehensible and 1000 times more logical than the general Christian worldview offers.
The questions you ask yourself about Lucifer at the end, he has already answered you in this episode and the devil never lies. He always tells the truth, one just don't believe him.
Ok chill out man, this is a tv show please don't mix it up with Religious worldview. They are very different so don't think if a show gives Lucifer character development, it's true in real life.

Underrated show, sucks that the seasons are long and have a lot of filler episodes, 13 episodes a season would be a sweet spot but overall has a good ending, and as a man of faith I get a kick out of it😉
