Cases are mostly mediocre but the character development and relationships are what make this show.
Yup instead of focusing heavily on the procedural aspect of the show, it instead uses the procedural aspect to enhance the character arcs.
They almost all go like this: Lucifer is having a personal struggle. They get called to the scene. Lucifer ties the crime and suspects into his own inner struggles, and uses that to either solve the case or solve his struggles. Murderer is almost always a person they speak to shortly after the murder but don't have any suspicion of. Murderer, once caught, for whatever reason gives their life story or motive as they hold a knife/gun to the detective/lucifer. Detective or Lucifer uses their badass skills (whether physical or mental) to apprehend the murderer. Lucifer reconciles the struggles he was having this episode and the episode ends. Repeat
@@DragonTheseNuts that's pretty much it. However the "personal struggle" changes each time, and there is a decent amount of genuine progression/development in the character relationships!

@@89Keith I mean, he is objectively a bad cop in the beginning but he does change for the better. If he got his way this episode the bad guys would have gotten away with it because he just wanted to shut the case without really looking into it.
He did play a villan on arrow so that might be it.

I feel like yall are going to love the absolute hell (heh) out of this show. It just gets better and better from here. Tom Ellis was the *perfect* man to play the devil, imo. The devil is supposed to be the most beautiful of the angels and you don't get more beautiful than Tom Ellis.
Also, Trixie is a precious little cinnamon roll in a show starring the literal devil.

@@axnot7959 arguable, in volume 2 The Presence was killed (atleast temporarily) by an archangel, which may or may not have been lucifer. But as lucifer is the most powerful archangel, he could probably duplicate the feat.

The acting and the script writing are brilliant on this show! I love the banter between Lucifer and detective Decker. It's really hilarious. Also Lucifer can control who he shows his true face to.
Stick to the show. Get it's so much better every season

Season 3 is mostly a shitshow. The rest of the show is absolutely amazing without a doubt. I watched the whole show within 4 days. Season 3 has its moments to though.
Fun fact: In real life, Tom Ellis' dad is a preacher, and Tom grew up in the church! Apparently they're fine with the role. ;-]
I was excited about this and still am! It's not a masterpiece or whatever but it is really fun to watch. Also the story get's alot better over time.

Well, you learn to like him in part because he does change. His initial character is certainly not a good guy what with how he treats Chloe and how he advocates not actually investigating crimes if an easier convenient explanation is available.

I felt so empty when you finished your Lost reaction videos (I was always looking forward to those!) but now that you've decided to react to Lucifer, I finally have something to look forward to again!
Lucifer is such a great show. It's not really about the cases but about the developing, changing, growing relationships between all the characters. And of course the humor!
Is the devil the hero of show? Yes, he is. What's really interesting though, is how Lucifer and other characters explore why he's not really the bad guy and it's quite compelling.
More like a sort of anti-hero.

1)Lucifer make every case himself for his character growth
2) Lucifer experiencing everything for first time feelings, friendship, love. Becoz he was alone billion years. He his more like chlid who came to earth without experience of human life and everything new for him

yes i’m so happy omg. i just finished watching this it wasn’t what i was expecting. also some of the cases are very obvious but they’re usually just to move along lucifers storyline

for the part about trixie: lucifer is able to take peoples deepest desires and draw them out. he basically reflects their desires back to them and it makes them desire him. also he can control his mojo so i don’t think he would do that to a child.

@lo l Nah... 😂😂 Mickey stopped watching the 100 I believe the end of season 3. The 100 couch crew did a drunk explanation video telling/spoiling Mickey with everything he missed up to season 6. I highly recommend watching the 100 drunk explanation video. It's in full length on the RUclips channel. I've watched it multiple times for laugh's. They started watching Lucifer to replace the 100 once they finished reactions for the 100 because it was in the top 3 poll and won the spin the wheel. I just really enjoy Mickey's reactions but he hasn't been reacting to anything that I watch in awhile.
This was a good first episode, it really hooks you in immediately.

Did you notice Jerry Bruckheimer is the main producer: He is a major Hollywood producer, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc... so the show will have plenty of money to spend on actors you will recognize from other series, and excellent lighting, etc...the arc of the show is about redemption...
