That is one of my favorite episodes. It really is intense. This is the second time Lucifer was willing to give up his life to save Chloe. And each time, she has no idea how much he has risked for her. As for his mom, I do believe she loves him. But she doesn't understand him, and her love for him is toxic. And I agree about the music in this show. It's really on point.
There was ever only one token back in the first series, but it gets a bit confusing because God shuffles it around a little bit. So Luci has the token for most of the series but then gives it to Malcolm to spare his life, Malcolm then shoots Luci so he goes to Hell (because that's where he has to go after he dies due to the whole exiled from Heaven stick). However because Luci uses his last breath to make a deal with God, God then takes the token off Malcolm and gives it back to Luci, who uses it to get out of Hell and shows it to Malcolm just before it burns away to nothing (because Luci used it's one and only use to get out of Hell and stop Malcolm, meaing it was destroyed shortly afterwards)
I interpreted it as Luci got his coin back bc Malcolm broke his deal to get it. Luci specifically said he could have it *if he didn't shoot him* Malcolm broke his deal w/ the devil. Coin goes back to Luci - who used it to return.

He just showed Lucifer the open cell of the Goddess of Creation. Everyone guess and think about what God want from me? But no one knows exactly.
this episode is the first episode where i got emotional with lucifer, never heard a better use of a song for a show either with unsteady in that situation, cant wait for u guys to get farther into lucifer. i promise it just gets better and better and better :)

I love Amenadiel in this episode. I told yall I aint moving! The evolution of all the relationships in this show are so good but the one between him and Lucifer is so important I think. Like in the first season they are basically unwilling in their "brotherhood" but now season 2 is like they're actually becoming more like real brothers.
Dont feel awkward when you need to cry. I have done it in front of my TV screen and many other RUclipsrs have done it when reacting to Lucifer. This show is very intense sometimes. And I agree, season 2 of Lucifer is very good. We had 2x6, Lucifer revealing himself to Dr. Linda, we had 2x13 with a crazy and dangerous plan to save Chloe, we will have 2x14, 2x16 and finally 2x18. Enjoy it !
What's really sad is the writers allow for no intelligent thought for Lucifer or the fam. Else one of them might conclude Chloe's blessing to be beneficial for her and Lucifer. Being immune to Lucifer's charms means her feelings are very real, and grew over time.

This is the first series I've ever seen that had time to bring the finale into play on their own terms.

What amazes me, especially in light of what will happen in the *VERY NEXT* episode, is how disappointed Lucifer was over _"DeckerStar",_ yet he went to such extremes to save Chloe *ANYWAY!* Plus Lucifer actually working with Dan to save Chloe. There's something about _ChloDan_ that you'll see played out even into Season 6!
You're definitely asking a lot of the right questions here - and remembering that, yes, no one knows what God's plan actually is! Not Lucifer, not Amenadiel, not Mum. They may sometimes make assumptions about it, but they're all just guessing. Just like we are! Great reactions.

Yes this definately was mid season finale, you can expect that everything will be different, when Lucifer will comeback he will question everything thinking that God may be behind this and Chloe will be hurt by his leaving so she might not understand why did he leave and she might not even want him to comeback, because she gave him a chance and after her almost dying he just vanished. So this episode created a whole new area in which we have never been before, Lucifer will need really good explanation why did he leave, or make something that will bring him in good relations with her again. Eventhough I'm sure that you will love next episode and others of this season.
Lucifer was so mad at his mom because while they were down in Hell, Charlotte admitted everything, about making him fall for the detective just to break his heart ❤️🩹
Interesting side point: Gwendoline Christie is set to portray a more comic accurate version of Lucifer in the upcoming Netflix series The Sandman. Even though this version was good for TV it will be interesting to see a version closer to the comics.
I had to sit down, hard, on my keyboard so as not to leave any spoilers for this episode, which was epic. Amenadiel planting himself at the doorway of Chloe's room and keeping everyone out was fantastic, especially with the music they chose. Charlotte deciding to brave Hell for her son was a massive surprise for me. ... Remember that Lucifer sees God through his own prejudices, and I think sometimes attributes to God intentions or actions which never happen. In short, I think Lucifer is paranoid about God. We'll see some serious developments by the end of the season. :)

No the women got gun down in front of lux next to Lucifer and he didn't even get a scratch so she thought he had a vest on and they were play flirting as she tried to get info from him. The women was someone that worked for Lucifer in the past and he help get famous. It was really cool how they met love it then he went to the party where chole showed up and he told her I remember you in the movie Hot tub he said your famous she arrested him then he told her he could get out of the handcuffs it was child play she kind of dare him and he did it. I have to say a pair made on EARTH and the nickname for Lucifer and Chole is Deckerstar! Chole Decker and Lucifer Morningstar its what most people say when there shipping them as a couple.
That scene at Lucifer's penthouse at the very end is still puzzling, even to _"Future Me"_ commenting to you post-season 6! Why was the furniture covered? My theory is that it was just a plot device to let us know that Lucifer was gone. His reason for being gone? That's not clear, even after watching the following episode. By then we'll know the *WHAT* and the *WHO* but not necessarily the *WHY.* I think there were multiple reasons ...

I think it's kind of funny that fans create their own "canonical" ship names to the point that they feel they need to correct people when they use a different one. Like, imo, there's really no "wrong" ship name as long as it combines the two names. Some sound better than others, but that doesn't mean that everyone has to use the same one lol.
