this is a fantastic tv series both in the writing of the show the concept of the show and the acting just binds it all together i binge watch this series at least once every 6 months...
The more you watch this, the more you will absolutely love it. This is one of the best shows of the last 20 years.

I started watching from day one back in 2016, thinking this was going to be AN AWESOME SHOW; for the first time we get to see it from the "LOOSER" side of the war between God and Lucifer, from Lucifer's side of the story.
I really hope you enjoy this series and stick with it; it will make you happy, sad, cry, smile, disgusted, fulfilled; you will love the ride.

It was only seen once before it was cut out of the episode but after Delilah is killed and Lucifer 'talks' to the killer, Lucifer walks back to Delilah's body and takes off his coat to cover the body which is why he isn't wearing his coat while talking to Chloe at the piano
Since I was a kid in Catholic school, I wondered why the devil would punish those who turn to evil if he is evil himself. Why does not reward those who should be his natural allies?
From that question, this show makes a lot of sense. He is not evil, but after leading a rebellion against God, his father, he was cast to hell to punish those who turn evil. The rest is bad rep. I loved that take, because it answers a lot of my youth questions.

Well, the idea is that in the Bible it makes it clear that the Devil doesn't rule hell or punish people for sins at all. In fact currently hell doesn't exist. Sheol exists which is for all intents and purposes an underworld where the demons from the era of Enoch are being held prisoner awaiting judgement. They call Lucifer the Prince of Darkness who rules the Earth. By scriptures teachings the Devil IS on Earth, roaming free turning people away from God and causing problems as he pleases until the second coming of Christ. He's not some goat demon or anything, even in his "true form". He's just an extraordinarily beautiful man, with his own powers and such like all the angels have and were. Hell is something created by God "The lake of burning sulfur", "The Second Death". The devil will end up there himself suffering along with all those with the hearts hardened against God, even after The Great Tribulation.

Lmao the ending is literally the most shit ending of just about any show in history aside from quantum leap. It literally makes no sense. I definitely recommend she keep watching through s4 then just consider that finale the show ending.

Started good but went stupid about series 4
The strength of the show is the relationships between the characters rather than the, sometimes not so strong, weekly plot.
The police procedural stuffs were just the filler.

for me, the show is all about this main actor, who is really fantastic, everything else is very classic.

To answer your questions:
Yes, Lucifer's "father" is God. When he refers to his father or to his dad, he is talking about God.
As you guessed, in this story, Lucifer is not evil. But he is the devil, a fallen angel. Lucifer started a rebellion in heaven against God, and as a punishment, God cast him out of heaven and into hell. That is where he had been for thousands of years, until he got tired of being in hell and in this story, he left hell and decided to make a life for himself on Earth, in Los Angeles. That is where we meet him.
He is honest about who he is. He tells everyone he is the devil and he's immortal. But no one believes him.
Amenadiel is an angel, and he is Lucifer's older brother. His task is to get Lucifer to return to Hell, which Lucifer does not want to do.

Yup, like all "superstitions", it's a fiction - the problem is that WAY too many people take those superstitions seriously 😞
This plot line isn' t taking it seriously, which is one of the 😎 things about it.
@@gordowg1wg145 I agree. I mean, the devil moves to Los Angeles, opens a nightclub, and then solves crimes as the civilian partner to an LAPD detective. How can anyone be threatened by that and take it seriously. 😆

Great show, happy I waited til it wrapped! Satisfying and it’s wrapped in a nice lil bow! Watched it, and then watched it again with someone just to see their reactions on a few things! Ozark is solid also! Enjoy it nothing like a 1st watch! Minus a few musical episodes that aren’t my thing, it’s one of my favorite series!

The thing about this 'devil' is that he's blatantly honest. Some confuse that with being evil lol.

this show is about the characters. The storyline is amazing. There are 6 seasons with a total of 93 episodes.
Lucifer is a fallen angel, his father is God, and Amenadiel is his brother.

What bothered me about the school scene is that if an elementary school girl starts screaming and other adults see a grown man next to her, they will at minimum converge on him.

Rather than the Judeo-Christian tale of the fall of brightest of angels, this has always felt to me like a modern re-telling of Eros and Psyche.

Actually, it's from Fox not Netflix - as in, Fox was the studio that created it.
Netflix bought the show for the final two seasons when Fox had cancelled it, so Netflix is responsible for Seasons 5 and 6.
Everything before that is Fox.

You've got a lot of people interested. In just a few days, more than 10,000 hits. Lucifer will do that, because a lot of people love the show. But to keep these views, you have to post reactions consistently. I've seen other reactors start Lucifer, and then go weeks between postings, and they lose their audience and never get it back. The show is loosely based off of the DC/Sandman comic of the same name.
People really be taking the fact that Lucifer is an alright guy really hard and I blame the Bible.
The dude fought for our free will over blind obedience to some cloud boi and was punished for it. He punishes bad people... He's not going out of his way to make people do whatever they normally wouldn't do on their own.
Why does he get the blame for something bad when those same people claim that we were all created exactly as God intended and are following HIS plan?

Can I just say as someone who grew up in the US, it is SO refreshing to hear someone say they need to look up the relationship between Lucifer and God.

All of Lucifer’s Brothers and Sisters are children of God. Literally. They are identified in Biblical Lore as Archangels. Michael. Gabriel. Raziel. Many others.
In the show Lucifer isn’t evil. He is the punisher. He punishes those who do wrong.
You make an excellent point. However, in the Bible all Angeles are not Arc-Angeles. Also, what always surprises me is how most people watching the first episode do not pick-up the “Morning Star” reference (smile…smile).

i think you might need to adjust some settings in your microphone, probably the noise gate or something because when you're quiet the sound is good but the moment you start talking there is an annoying hiss
