The card also featured a battle for the interim WBC Middleweight World Title between Jermall Charlo and Hugo Centeno Jr. Plus, Gervonta Davis faced off against Jesus Cuellar in an WBA Super Featherweight World Title matchup.

This card was when gervonta and Broner was beefing with the Charlo brothers so everyone on that card Charlo Broner and gervonta were very fired up already cause before the fights they were yelling at each other back stage when ur already mad coming into a fight it’s a super advantage for u there’s no nerve or butterflies at all u just wanna go to war very good card super intense fights 😎💪🏾

There's a video on youtube that shows Broner and Manny training side-to-side via split screen you can see the difference clear as day. Broner is very sloppy and treats his training as a burden ,Manny (as well as Floyd, Broner's once idol) was sharp in all his reps and treated the training as if he was a rookie trying to prove himself. Boxing is based on effective work, Vargas is a solid fundamentally sound fighter but Broner landed the more effective shots. He made it closer than it should have been cos he doesn’t throw enough lol but he landed the more effective work and the evidence is Vargas’ face. I can see why judges could see it as a draw, but if he we had to pick a winner clean hooks, uppercuts beat 1,2’s and the occasional overhand any day

For me Vargas is a winner for stepping up as a replacement fighter. Broner needs to change his defensive counter attack. And do more pressure attacking cause his got the speed and reflexes.

I don't know what the judges were watching but Broner lost that fight by 2 rounds easy. He needs to realize that he isn't talking to one of his home boys and have respect for the interviewer and the fan's watching on TV. He's a bum in my opinion! I've watched this fight over and over, and every time, it's just as good. This is possibly the best fight I have ever watched.
