      +Jose M Ring entrances are generally very poor in America. Little music and show over it. The fans are also very bad compared to british fans for instance. I would love if there was a bigger fan culture around boxing in the states. Look at hatton vs Mayweather. You could only hear the british fans. And they stood by their fighter after he lost. Would be amazing if the americans could do similar things, but they usually throw their fighters under the bus when they lose

    • @watts111
      @watts111 7 месяцев назад +4

      Agreed. There was a sequence where every time Porter lunged in, Broner clocked him with a left hook. Then, for some reason, Broner went back to clinching/bicycling, and, even with that wicked left hook knockdown, still lost. And he should have lost. This isn't peloton.

The shoulder roll used to be strictly for flat footed fighters who didn't WANT to move. FMJ changed that entirely and made it work better than anyone else in the history of the sport has been able to so far. Just what it is.

    I don't think the people reading & writing the comments realize how hard it is to fight a guy like Shawn Porter who is constantly attacking & applying pressure. I just watched 2 other fights with him, everyone i saw including Errol Spence Jr had to grab him. He is a very tough & gritty fighter , expecting people to not grab is kind of unrealistic

      Fighters end up tangled when they both punch and overshoot, therefore clinches happen. Clinches are also where fighters get knocked out if they are not in good position and not quick minded enough to do something about it.

      That’s a very casual way of looking at it. Tyson was way more methodical and far cleaner with his offense. Porter here just looked sloppy when doing it. And I don’t like to shit talk boxers who put in the work, but its very clear by just looking at Porter’s performance here. It’s all good he’s improved after this fight a lot.

    • @jesuspernia8031
      @jesuspernia8031 Год назад

      Exactly. I really think if Broner wasn’t trying so hard to mimic Floyd he definitely would have had this fight. Because he has WAY better fundamentals and cleaner movement than Porter up to this point. But Porter actually had a game plan and stuck to it. Even though there was a skill gap, Porter closed it by sticking to the plan.

      I don't care he lost just wish he'd not take drugs and fuck his health cause he got talent that need to be mastered. He can be as good as mayweather if he was as determined and serious in the gym. He's the funniest boxer if seen even more than mayweather. It be real sad to seem him become an b ranked fighter because no one does funny entrances like this man. He is the king of comedy in boxing just want his boxing resume to match.

      @@jesuspernia8031 I agree. AB is trying his hard to mimic Floyd than to fight his real style. And that's actually sad because AB had such tremendous potential to be an all time greats boxer. Easy, too early success makes him contented and stop from growing. Honestly, this what's happening to most boxers today. Modern day boxers had so many talents that failed to achieve their full potential because they reach success much easier than boxers before. Today, with just right connection, a boxer can fight for a world title even with just 2 fights on his resume. So, the fire usually dies before it's even get bigger. Broners problem can be a few things.
    1) he just doesnt have the elite talent it takes.
    2) some guys arent meant to be in certain weight classes, he didnt wait long to move up cause he saw what was going on in the 147 division and his ego wouldnt let him not be involved.

      Carl Allen cause he did....also Porter fought this at a catch weight..yeah Al Haymon killed it later on but by then team Porter was already shooting for the 144 limit. Shawn although short used to be a football player so he's sort of swoll for a welterweight. Making 147 is tough enough[he literally had to remove all of his clothingin the brook bout to make weight. So he dominated Broner while being weight drained. Porter isn't the best fighter in the world but he's definitely a class above adrien broner.

Everyone was saying it was a off balanced flash knockdown but i couldnt tell by how porter was clinching in the 12th round. And whats annoyin is porter wasnt drained he said it him self. Common Knowledge casual fans see its a catch weight and they automatically assume the man in the higher weight class is gonna be drained it's stupid. If Bronner has a better skill set then how he lose unanimously. The last judge scored it 118 to 110. Bronner is done. Finished. History.

    As far as I can remember, Tony Weeks has being a very knowledgeable, professional, honest referee. I just could NOT understand, how he let Adrian Broner, get away with so many holdings, and faults. It almost seems, like the referee bet money on Broner, and want him to win? What the hell was going on there? Unbelievable!!!

    • @jesuspernia8031
      @jesuspernia8031 Год назад +1

      True, but you can’t deny Porter looked really sloppy here. I’d say if Broner wasn’t trying so hard to mimic Floyd and let his hands go, this fight would have definitely been his. I don’t like to shit talk pro boxers because they do a lot of hard work to train and practice their craft, but there were so many holes here with Porter. He was pretty wild and had kind of a shaky stance sometimes.

    Damn. I barely watched this fight today. Porter was very sloppy. But, at the same time, he had a warrior's mentality in him that I loved. Chasing AB down, misses a couple, lands a couple. Great rugged in-fighting. This guy kept the pressure coming. Much respect. Broner, come on. If you're gonna steal Mayweather's mitt hitting, you better be able to not get hit like you were in this fight. How you gonna let a slugger jab you to death. haha

    • @AntiMatter3000
      @AntiMatter3000 8 лет назад

      +krazyface979 Porter is a skilled fighter but he gets very very very impatient. You can see hims feinting, moving and his headmovement when he's in punching range and him throwing out an occasional jab, and then all of a sudden he just rushes in with his hands down. Against Thurman I pray he doesn't do that.
