one thing i feel you should have mentioned is you should have gone over how to reactivate and alocate the remaining storage devices since you expressly recommended to disconnect the ones that wont be used as OS install, newcomers might be left with a "well now what" and simply unused extra storage
@@myst278 When you install a new drive, ssd or hdd, you will have to set it up in windows to be able to use it. Basically. This especially might happen if you install windows with disconnected drives because windows wont search and automatically allocate the storage that is not connected.
@@D3C0Y it went exactly the way as in this video. But i had already the booter-USB plugged in and i did not had to go to BIOS and us any boot menu and it automatically started installing windows. Though be careful cuz the download will take time (not sure if it depends on your network speed or Microsoft just limits the speed for that) and in my case i had to redownload the thing cuz there was an error near the end. It can be annoying when you download the thing and at the end it says "LOL nope, do it again".

for anyone who accidentally installed the wrong version of Windows, don't worry. Nothing on Windows will let you fully reset to the point where you can redo that, but your bios should let you completely wipe and re-partition your hard drive. It's probably different depending on the bios, but it works so don't worry you're not doomed

This video is a great guide. I would say to DEFINITELY spend the money to get a real version of windows/ activation key. I bought one off of a site like this about 2 years ago and it worked until 5 months ago where I started having bugs and windows would no longer allow me to update. This was because Microsoft realized it was a false windows key and locked me out. I now have to buy a new version and reinstall a ton. Its not worth the hassle. Please just buy genuine windows. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

For the people whos usb isnt booting by default Go to the bios To go to the bios press delete f11 f12 or esc keys like that while it boots up After you enter the bios Go to boot options With your keyboard arrow keys And select boot priority 1 You wil have some drives in which windows can boot from Select the name of the flash drive And navigate to save and exit Then press enter 2 times

The bootable media might still be corrupted as the above comment states, so I recommend formatting the drive before you install Windows 10 on it. Usually the installation of the Windows 10 installer will do that for you but I've had times where it doesn't. Good luck mate.

@@IMZO_ if you have a wifi adapter or if your motherboard already has wifi then installing windows is sufficient. Your adapter will use windows' drivers.

So I’ve had my pc for about two years now and my m.2 literally just quit on me with no warning. I was able to get it working again long enough for me to download a program that tells me the health of the drive and it said only 2 percent of its life was used. Or maybe I misunderstood and it said there was only 2 percent life left… lmao either way that same day the pc restarted and went into the bios automatically because my OS was installed on the m.2 so now my pc is a brick. As much as I know about building computers and trouble shooting issues I’ve never once installed windows so I appreciate the video and step by step instructions.

Hi, not with RAM, Hard Drive, or GPU upgrades (although your gpu will require new drivers). Not 100% sure about CPU; have heard that motherboard needs it. I would create the tool just in case (edited for clarity).

Apple devices like:MacBooks or IMacs are already installed with a Apple os/macOS. So you don’t need to install windows 10 on the device. You still can try installing it via the boot camp assistant: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468
you need windows. you cannot install windows from the media tool on a mac. it doesnt install. you should try the trial version of parallels. and use the arm windows bc its not out yet. its free and will get the job done. that way you get windows on your mac to install the drive and put it in your pc

I just built a new PC, have not done it in awhile and ATX case doesn't really have a spot for the CD Drive. Windows 11 can't handle Adobe produtcts... Crash and freeze. With Windows 10, Adobe runs like a dream!

Just look on marketplace or OfferUp someone near you will have a fresh usb box
no mate oem keys will register in ur motherboard but if u upgrade ur motherboard it will go

When finish downloading it says restarting then it goes to a screen with a blinking underscore at top left what do I do?
Then I wait a minute then it goes to the same screen where it says windows setup with the language and stuff

I just built a new PC, have not done it in awhile and ATX case doesn't really have a spot for the CD Drive. Rather than trying to hook up CD Drive hanging on the outside and installing old school, I figured there must be a better way as technology has changed. Luckily I have some 16 GB USB drives laying around and can install this way. Thanks for the video and clear explanation.
