Tutorial: Rotary Cutting Fabric

I always used to cut my fabric using the lines on my cutting mat. Which led to too many cutting mats being ruined quickly, and my fabric not always being accurate.
Then I saw someone cutting fabric and using the ruler for measurement instead of the mat, once I made this switch my cutting mats lasted longer and my fabric was more accurate. But, I still run across people who cut fabric the other way, so it seemed only necessary to share this video.
In this video, I'm sharing my favorite cutting method and my favorite products. I love:

Thanks for the tutorial. This is the way I cut my fabrics! I do iron the fabric first.

Thanks! I usually do but this way but occasionally the lined up on mat way so I'll make sure to keep doing it by the ruler's measurements.

You should iron the fabric first.

I usually do, in fact I'm not sure why I didn't for this video, I had already started cutting and realized I wanted to share! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
