I've been playing with it for almost two months and absolutely love it. Coming from Legacy Pro and a CRBN1, this has the perfect power, pop, and control. What is most surprising is the spin it generates and the fabulous control it affords on resets and dinking. Wait until they release their hybrid version later in October which will be very similar but will compete with the 6.0 DBD, Ronbus, Vatic, etc.
@@EricShapiro-wx5juwhat were you using previously? The Loco looks to be another good option. It's a bit of the 'wild west' right now with new paddles coming out each month.
@@danpiedra3910 I'm using a Joola Solaire FAS 13. I have borrowed my buddies Filth a few times and demo'd a Joola Persius and Hyperion as well. Not a fan of the Hyperion.
@@EricShapiro-wx5ju I suspect that Joola gets a lot of business from their association with certain players who obviously don't pay for their paddles. Amateur players want what the best players have and many use Joola and Selkirk, both of which, to me, are overpriced with so many other options in the market. Apes, Ronbus, B&B, Vatic, and others are showing you can make excellent paddles for way less $$.
I got mine last weekend and have played with it 5 times now and love it. It’s actually 16.5mm thick and has a plusher feel like my old Hyperion than the other thermoform paddles like Perseus and Vatic Pro. This is the only paddle I’ve demoed or used other than the Hyperion where from the first game it felt like home. This paddle has power, spin, control and feel. I haven’t yet had an issue with the narrower width. I had been playing with Vatic Pro 16mm the past month and Hyperion before that. This has the power of the Vatic with the control and feel of the Hyperion for me. I can get good rolls on it also with nice dwell time.
How would you compare this to the Hyperion CFS in regards to swing weight, power and pop? I have the Hyperion and have really enjoyed it, but a recent bout of tennis elbow makes me wonder about swing weight in this, and if I can generate more pop with this new paddle. Thanks!
Yea, a lot of people seem to enjoy this paddle. Their new hybrid shape 16.4" x 7.6" is coming out this month (Pro Line energy S). This one really has my eye. What about the control of the Pro LIne Energy? You talked more about the power and spin. Does it have a plush feel on dinking?
@@PickleballMike509 if you are on pickeball apes mailing list, they have teased a release date for subscribers and for the general public, which is coming up here in a day or two.
@@PickleballMike509 Some of the You Tube paddle reviewers (John Kew, Farmer Lanky) have mentioned it. Also you can see the hybrid version on the USAP Approved paddle list now. The Pickleball Apes owner says it will be released in late October.
@@gao57009 I’ll have to look at the USAP site. I just ordered the regular one a couple days ago. I’m expecting not to be a fan of the shape. The specs you mentioned, are right in line with what I’m used to playing with. 16.5x7.5

I was excited for the S, but jumped on the BnB Loco. Both look like great options, hope I made the right call.

Comments on the soft game? Dinks, resets, etc
Playing finger up, defeats the purpose of this paddle. You lose out on extra reach and spin.
love love love it

Yeah eying the hybrid too, thus the curiosity of how this plays the soft game vs other thermos and non thermo paddles .. hope he chimes in :)
How do you know about a hybrid version?
