Dude I owned two… and I owned a carbn 1… they are identical except… the carbon had more pop where the xspak had more control…the only deficit is on a dink while running in… if you hit it soft the paddle will absorb the shock and decelerate the ball.
I have a few friends that use it and they really enjoy it as well. Plays just like a CRBN 1 (original) they say. X SPAK just got another wider body paddle approved recently so they'll probably be coming out with that one soon. Good for them for lowering the price barrier to getting a really good paddle.
I am a 4.5 player who has been playing with Vulcan V560 Control for more than two years. XSPAK is my first carbon fiber paddle. I got it for the price ($60) from a Facebook seller. Just like Kit, I had little expectation of it. The review by Kit was spot on. It has power but not overwhelming. The control is excellent with decent spin. My only complaint is that after only one 2 hour playing session, there were a lot of debris on the surface, making the paddle look used and dirty. Other than that, the paddle is amazing and I am getting another one as a backup.
I am a new player.I saw these on amazon and read the reviews. I figured why not. I need a paddle and I don't want to spend a ton. But I figured I would purchase two of them. My second one is still in the cellophane. I'd say I've been on the court around 100 times. I have no tennis or racquet sports background. Some commented on my ability to have the ball drop in front of them as it crosses the net line. I can hit deep topspin serves that jump at the baseline. Even the good players have trouble with my serve. And all of the spin serves - it does it so well. I can curve and shape shots. I'm working on shaping my ATP attempts (I had maybe a 10 tries so far), I'm about 50/50 on them at the moment. I like the paddle a lot even though I have nothing to compare it to. I'm hoping to get into the 4.0+ range this summer. I can volley against bangers with it and control shots almost effortlessly from the transition zone. Topspin dinks and getting the ball to go fast and drop into the NVZ is easy with this paddle. I started out using whatever I found in the bin at the courts - old beat up cheap paddles that seemed to be made out of plywood. I didn't want to go high dollar as a beginner. But I needed my own paddle. The amazon reviews sold me on this paddle. ... One thing it does really well is absorb energy - when a banger crushes a ball and I'm at the kitchen line, I can either smash it back to the baseline or drop it effortlessly into the kitchen. But it's not a power paddle.
I agree with the review and think it is pretty spot on. I just got this and the wider version from Amazon along with a Full Choice Carbon Fiber paddle. I have compared it to several control paddles from most of the big names, including the CRBN 1 which it looks exactly the same paddle. XS has more pop to me and more control than any of the bigger names. I narrowed my choices to the Diadem, XS and Full Choice and played 3 hours switching between paddles. I quickly stopped with Diadem because both XS and Full Choice had more power and I thought better spin control. I prefer the longer version of XS but don't think there is difference between the way the two play and therefore think it is a personal preference between the style of paddle you like. I mostly drilled with the paddles and then played 5 games; first two with FC, 3 and 4 with XS and the last game switch halfway. I thought after drilling the XS was going to have more power and control but after actually playing I felt the FC had more power. It was a very windy day and I felt the FC handled the wind bette; both did well and I felt I had more power into the wind with both of these paddles over CRBN and Diadem. XS feels like a more sturdy paddle and has a little more heft to it. I didn't notice a difference in spin between the two but FC seems more gritty. I didn't play with a lot of spin due to the wind but was pleased with both. My third shot drops were good with both but it took me a little while when playing to adjust to XS and follow through was much more important with XS. I did feel like a had slightly more control with the XS. I did not get into any hand battles so that is the only thing that makes me undecided between the two paddles. Bottom line is give this paddle a try before spending $175+ on a paddle.
Thanks for this review. I play almost every day and I’m on my second one of these beauties. I seriously can’t understand why people are paying these ridiculous prices for paddles that are on the market today. Power. Control. Spin. Drive. Touch. This paddle does it all. It does crack in spots around the edges and top but that may come from avid play outdoors in NYC throughout the winter and colder temps. Honestly, amazing value and excellent performance.
This is my everyday paddle. I own 2, my wife uses the other one. We have about 15 paddles between us from knock-offs to major brands. This paddle is best for control, spin, and a soft feel. When I want more pop playing singles I go to A11n C8 or C7 which are thermoformed and provide more power, but if I use the thermoformed too much my tennis elbow flares up. I go back to the xspak and the inflammation subsides. I assume this is due to the soft feel absorbing the shock of impact. I'm 4.0 and play nearly everyday. Great paddle great price, comparable to well known brand's $200+ paddles. Highly recommended all court paddle for control and spin, while still having the ability to drive the ball hard when I want to.
Own the XSPAK. Great paddle. I own a pro Kennex, GRUVN, Franklin.... XSPAK is my main paddle now. Excellent. It is a CRBN for sure. Same paddle, same manufacturer.
I play with this paddle and love it. I have a $250 Selkirk Invikta Air which is beautiful, but I cant play with it. Havent found something I play better with than the XSPak yet.
I bought this paddle back in December just because it was so cheap ($90 at the time) and sold it to a friend once they went out of stock. It plays exactly like the CRBN 1. Nothing cheap at all about this paddle except the price. Lol. Highly recommend it.
Xspak is definitely the same paddle as the CRBN 1. When I played at Lifetime a few weeks ago, 2 different people accidentally grabbed it from the paddle stack cause they thought it was theirs!
Currently playing with a non-serial CRBN2. Love what I got now, only thing is I wish it had a little more power. Thinking about getting a CRBN1 to try out the elongated version. Was wondering if I should just go with this?? Seems like the exact same and cheaper!

Just got mine. I started December 26, 2023. I like it!

5 minutes researching this paddle you'd know that the XSPAK is literally a CRBN 1. Same factory, same product, different brand name.

Do you know how thick this paddle is? 16mm?
@@parkergabhart4869 yes
I love it! My main paddle!
It's a great control paddle with good power, it plays just like the crbn1 16mm, I own both.
i have it and love it. is it truly t700?

how does it compare to vulcan 900 series, in terms of feel?
I spy a Diadem Icon v2 in the hands of the female player. Hope there's a review of this coming soon and comparing it to the v1.
Where do you buy it?
Sleeper paddle. Buy it and save yourself a ton of money.
Champlin Shoals
Cool I just bought one for $20 off 🤞🏻🙌🏻
This paddle is identical to the regular CRBN1. There is no difference whatsoever (besides the warranty)
