Interesting idea… I had heard there was gonna be a movie where Joker tricker Two-Face into thinking Bruce and Harvey’s fiancé Grace were having an affair to drive him crazy after he was getting better, that would of been really interesting.

I think that was the plot of an episode of Batman TAS not a movie project.
It was meant to be made instead of Mask of the Phantasm, but after Phantasm, they adapted the Two-Face story into one of the BTAS tie-in comics
Wasnt there a batman black and white comic in the dcau style that did something like that? Didnt involve Joker but had Harvey recovering and being tricked/seduced by his fiance's twin?
They later turned it into a Batman Adventures comic

I've always wanted to see more shows centered around other characters set in this universe, especially; Nightwing, Shazam, Aquaman and Flash.
I think it would have been awesome if it was based on the infamous batman comic batman arkham asylum a serious place on earth
Joker's design kinda gives me Don Bluth vibes.
My first thought was Will Wray, maybe Kyle Baker, but like Bluth they each have an art style perfect for the cartoon renaissance.
Ralph Bakshi
This makes me think of Ralph Bakshi. Considering the gritty, dark atmosphere of films such as _Heavy Traffic_ and _Coonskin_ I'm surprised that a Ralph Bakshi Batman movie hasn't been made.
The Joker here looks like the Joker that Tim Curry would have voiced had he gotten the role.
And years later we got the Batman Arkham Asylum game, which is actually firmly set in the world of the animated Batman without being part of the animated universe xD
Not exactly, but close enough. I’d say it’s definitely a spiritual successor to the Animated Series, though.

I really like this franchise, everything from BTAS to JLU to even JL vs the Fatal Five.
Maybe it was for the best.
Return of the Joker sounds like the better film if one was gonna choose which to produce and the redesigns steer too far away from the DCAU at the time.
I imagine there are many projects that get pitched and don't go beyond the early stages.

Batman Arkham sounds like dark and edgy version of LEGO Batman: The Video Game. Maybe this cannelled movie was based for child game?

I woulda liked the Arkham movie over that awful Batman and Harley Quinn that they eventually released.

I really like that style of animation, Kevin and mark would have been in it too. Sounded like a pretty good movie if you asked me but I guess we’ll never know.
Boyd Kirkland is a really good writer so it would’ve been one of the better films to come from the universe.
I honestly love his style. It would have felt a bit jarring for how different it was, but especially after watching X-Men evolution, I'd have enjoyed seeing it.
I feel like it could've been a style everyone hated at the time but because of nostalgia and a look back of appreciation, a new generation would end up being well-liked.

Ah, the eternal mystery of the unproduced picture. Also, never knew Steven E. Gordon's name before, but I've liked the art in _X-Men: Evolution_ and the _Ultimate Avengers_ movies for years. Might look up some more of his work. 😁

I never heard of Batman Arkham before, so your video is my first time hearing of it. But I wouldn't have minded seeing this movie personally. Might've been pretty cool. But it's not a major loss in my opinion.
