I remember that where they just took Spider-Man 3 Venom and made him red, I also remember Fan-Made stuff with Lizard where they took scenes with Sammael from the first Hellboy movie, and I also remember some Fan-Made stuff with Hobgoblin as well, and I think I remember an Electro one as well.
I can see why Rami wasn’t impressed by it, it has great ideas but sounds too bleak for a Spider-Man movie. I still would love to see Spider-Man 4 but have the plot be something else.
with regards to peter's misery, it makes sense, even if a little forced (a consequence of the in-development script i guess) cause he still had to face the constant consequences of being spiderman, even if his own indulgence of it took personal priority, but ultimately make the choice best for everyone. here though he grows up and accepts that his own well being comes above all, even if his hero gig technically helped new york. still a weird script considering it doesnt adapt much of anything, and the forced ending of it all
Look i don't think spiderman deserves the hate it gets ir wasn't perfect but it wasn't bad especially if you compare it to.some of the shit mcu have brought out in Disney plus especially back in 2022
Yes I mean: Peter quiting the mantle again, but this time forever??? Not even giving the mantle to good old Miles Morales Spiderman or any other to at least lefting the city in goods hands. Just that??? This is the end of Spiderman??? Man, I feel that this movie contradicts Spiderman 2. That movie was literally about Peter choosing his Superhero life over his personal desires. He even was willing to broke with Mary Jane for being Spiderman. Not only that the same Mary Jane who at the end of the movie told him that She will love him as Spiderman and wil be waiting for him. But now this movie dischart all of that for making.....a MetroMan move???? MetroMan move worked because he knew that Megamind wasnt evil rather misunderstand, and he knew that Megaminf would beat Titan by his intelligence. At end he always knew that without him the city will be fine. The Dark Knigth worked because Bruce was old and also left someone in charge.
SM3 is a perfect ending for Tobey, but if they made a fourth then this cant be it. Have it be a story taking place 5 years later with MJ and Pete married, Aunt May finally passing away and the theme of the movie about moving on vs the past coming back to haunt you: Spider-Man 2002: Power and Responsibility Spider-Man 2: Destiny and Choice Spider-Man 3: Revenge and Forgiveness Spider-Man 4: The Past and Moving on
Totally, the ending of Spider-Man 3 gave me the impression that Peter and MJ’s relationship was Unbreakable now due to the amount of shit they’ve been through Both of them having a child would have been the perfect encapsulation of some the previous films themes.
I'd rather is Gwen get more time to shine because she did get much to do in the third film and having Peter and mj be friends and go they're separate ways until like the fifth film
I can see the next Tom Holland movie being like that, with everyone having forgotten who he is, Spider-Man starts to take over as he no longer has anyone left in his life
The fact this version of Vulture is Spider-Man's Doomsday from the get-go. Raimi knew that he wanted a compelling villain that turned Spidey's life upside down. Edit: Not until Sam Raimi most likely wants to direct a 4th film for the last time. Probably we're getting a legacy-sequel similar to Top Gun's Maverick sets after 16 years from the events of Spider-Man 3 that Peter is now residing have a newfound family with MJ who's now successful in her career and his daughter Mayday Parker who's willing to take the mantle of his father's role that he's been kept in secret from her throughout for years.
I like to name Vulture's daughter "Valeria Toomes", since Vulture's dauthers in the comics has that name! I made a video about this not too long ago. I'm glad people knows about this too!
I felt that we were robbed of a great trilogy. Sam and Ivan Raimi wrote a treatment of Spider-Man 3 that was focused on Peter, Mary Jane, Harry, and Flint Marko. It has themes of revenge and forgiveness. Vulture in the original version, would have died in the climax due to his inability to forgive. And it was going to have Harry torn between his friendship with Peter or avenging his father Norman. But in the end, he would not follow in his father’s footsteps. This was going to the trilogy on a high note and with a bang, but Avi Arad and Sony had other plans. Arad and the studio pressured Sam Raimi to introduce Venom in the story. Raimi was not familiar with Venom due to reading only the Lee-Dikto and Romita Sr Spider-Man comics and Venom’s lacked of humanity. Avi Arad wanted to please fans of the character and him and Sony wanted sell toys of Venom. I don’t know whose idea was turning Harry into New Goblin. And on top of that, the other producers wanted Raimi to include Gwen and George Stacy in the movie. Spider-Man 3 had too many storylines, subplots, villains, and unnecessary characters to focus on. Sony and Arad ruined what was great about the Raimi films and trying to rush the 4th out in 2011. Shrek Forever After did what the unproduced spider-man 4 could not, which was redeeming the franchise and wrapping up the story. And so the Spider-Man film series was rebooted as The Amazing Spider-Man series. The Amazing Spider-Man series was going to be trilogy but due to the success The Avengers, Sony ditched the grounded and realistic aesthetic that they copied from The Dark Knight Trilogy in favor of cinematic universe. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suffered the same mistakes from Spider-Man 3 but worse. And due to mixed critical reception, low box office numbers, and the 2014 Sony hack the studio had no choice but to play play with The Mouse (i.e Disney and Marvel Studios) to share Spider-Man. And now, Sony is starting shared universe again without the webs linger and it is failing. If Sony would have let Sam Raimi do Spider-Man 3 his way, we would have gotten a great trilogy. Better hope Sony and or Arad stay as far away from Phil Lord and Chris Miller and let them finish their Spider Verse trilogy with Beyond the Spider-Verse.
I remember in the cinema when No Way Home had a tribute to Avi Arad. Completely undeserved considering the irreparable damage he's done to the film franchise
Sony is already wanting to meddle with Spide-Man 4. Feige wants it to be a grounded and more personal story while Sony wants it to be epic multiverse yet again. They simply DO NOT learn bro. I hope the right eventually revert back to Marvel Studios fr
It’s sad that they never write a script that Raimi could get behind. I always felt like he had more in the tank to redeem himself from Spider-Man 3 (which I don’t think is as bad as Raimi himself thinks it is), but I ultimately agree with him that this story would never be the one that would redeem himself from his past mistakes. Sam Raimi has always made Spider-Man’s life hard, but he always instilled in the movies a sense of hope in spite of struggle. This concept just seems bleak for the same of being bleak, and that just isn’t who Sam Raimi is as a Spider-Man storyteller. Still, it’s interesting to see what might have been. Maybe one day Raimi can return and tell a story he would have been proud of back in the day… doesn’t seem likely, but with the Spider Verse being a thing… it’s not impossible anymore.
What an odd script. it feels like Sam was in a dark place writing this, and I can guarantee Sony wouldn't have approved of this script especially the ending. Hopefully, after seeing NWH Sam does make a 4th film and it gets to be a bit more uplifting considering the love his version still gets
@WarpingFist oh 100% and after the way Spider-Man 3 went you can definitely argue this was Sam's way of letting go of his own responsibility of Spider-Man. The themes of the script itself definitely sort of resemble the whole Spidey 3 situation of taking on to much and the consequences of being complacent with a bad situation.
Idk man I think this movie is just a repeat of the second, but with Peter not returning as Spider-Man, and this isn't something Spider-Man would do, he would never give up forever, goes totally against the "with great powers comes great responsibilities" and one of the core aspects of the character, the philosophy that if you have the power to make difference, you MUST do it Probably this is the script already with the alterations, totally sure this isn't Raimi's vision
It also repeats a lot of 1 and 3, flying villain who ends up killing himself with his own bladed gear mimics Norman in the first one, and Eve becoming the second version of said villain who has a close relationship with Peter only to turn on him after discovering he's Spider-man is Harry, just as a love interest instead of a best friend.
Don’t like either of these takes on it tbh. I always saw Spider-Man as a metaphor for embracing yourself and going with the changes life throws at you, Peter becoming Spider-Man sorta like maturing and becoming an adult, introducing a ton of great things you’d never experienced before but also introducing new hardships and tribulations that never came with the early years. By CHOOSING to stay as Spider-Man, Peter chooses to accept maturity and change, whereas villains like octavius and electro choose to stay in a childish selfish state refusing to accept what life throws at them. Peter could quit at any time, he’s not being forced to by the spider ghost of uncle Ben or whatever, its just not choosing to be spidey would mean he is embracing childish ignorance and cheap comfort over going at life, giving it his all and it eventually paying off.
Yes, Man I love that all you said it. Peter would never quit the mantle after Spiderman 2. That was the thing of the movie: Peter chose by himself to be Spiderman over his personal life, because he IS SPIDERMAN. Also Mary Jane chose in that same movie that she loves Peter and she will be with him. But this movie, contradicts all of that.
I remember in the early days of the internet reading about spiderman 4 and thought it was the dumbest idea ever and i felt like it was a fan fiction that went too far
@@WarpingFist For sure, it was best for it to never have been released. Especially the whole Peter & MJ having issues thing again, would've gotten old really quick.
8:37 i discovered new art like this last year or something and I'm in love with this look. I like Keaton but the armored look isn't for me, this is what i love about the Vulture's look.
The thing that I wonder the most is would Peter still have his staff job. I mean that's the one thing the symbiote gave him that I don't see why he would lose.😂
If this was how the film going to go then I’m glad it didn’t get made! It also fundamentally ignores the point of Peter Parker: the importance of Self sacrifice and necessity of sacrifice for the greater good.
I heard a rumor that Spider-Man 4 might still be made. Just not this version of the script. In an interview Sam Rami said that “I’m Not Actually Working On It Yet”.
Honestly, after all these years, I think it's way more fun to imagine what could've happened after Spider-Man 3, than it would have been to actually see a fourth movie. I like some ideas in this proposed SM4 script, but overall I think it's way too nihilistic for its own good. This man's my childhood hero, and I personally like to imagine that he and his loved ones were able to rebuild after the events of SM3; maybe not exactly the way they once were, but still growing in a positive and meaningful direction that a script like this wouldn't have allowed for. I would want him and MJ to make amends and start being there emotionally for each other, whether or not they're still romantically involved. I want Aunt May to be okay, or else to die peacefully and with dignity. And above all else, I would want to see Peter continue to do the right thing for other people, because that's what Spider-Man does. It's why I've looked up to him ever since I was little. He deserves better than to have his story end with a message basically saying "being a hero is nothing but pain and you should never ever be one because everything about it sucks and it isn't worth it", and I'm so thankful that it didn't. Besides, Michael Keaton went on to give us an amazing Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and he deserves all the flowers that he gets for it. He even got to be brutal as crap! So y'know what, I'm grateful that these movies ended with part 3. The rest of the story past that point is up to us, the fans, to decide. And isn't that just the coolest thing ever? It kinda helps to keep our inner child alive, y'know? That's my take on all this. 😊
It's a darker concept, and it kind of resembles the MTV show. There were talks about there being another trilogy after Spider-Man 3 so idk how it would have worked. That being said,I would have ate up the movie though 🕺.
Keep in mind, there were multiple scripts in the making. So there must've been versions that had Black Cat played by Anne Hathaway. (Which if she had played her, then she would've ever played Catwoman considering both films were being made at the same time around circa 2010.)
I also remember something completely different. Mysterio would still appear in the opening scenes, with Bruce Campbell playibg him instead of Aunt May's new lover. Black Cat was the Vulture's daughter too.
Since “Eve” didn’t have a definitive name, and it doesn’t seem like they were planning on using Felecia, maybe the character would’ve developed into being the Silver Sable?
Outside of the absence of MJ, and the god awful Vultress idea, I’m honestly fine with this version of the story. Remember, Raimi said he wanted to “end the series on a high note, as the best Spider-Man of them all”, so making a more darker story where Peter quits being Spider-Man actually serves as a good finale to the series in my opinion. Plus, it was later revealed that the proposed “Spider-Man 5 & 6” films were actually just early drafts of TASM 1 & 2 written behind Raimi’s back, and even Raimi himself didn’t seem too keen on continuing the series after 4. Sounds like Raimi was wanting Spider-Man 4 to be the Dark Knight Rises of his series, a finale to the saga that closes all of the open doors left from the previous films, and Spider-Man “dying” before ultimately revealing to still be alive, living a new life. Peter can now finally live a normal life, free from all of the burdens of being Spider-Man again. Honestly, as a final “good-bye” to the series, I honestly think this is the perfect way to end it. Now there are still stuff that I have a problem with. The absence of MJ in the story drives me crazy, Felicia becoming The Vultress instead of The Black Cat bothers the shit out of me (yes she was supposed to be Vulturess. Raimi has stated that his original choice for Felicia was Angelina Jolie, but he later went with Anne Hathaway after seeing her screen test. And even Jeffery Henderson states Jolie was eyed for Vultress, so it seems like Felicia was The Vulturess in the script). Honestly, if I were to write this, I would have MJ still be in the story, though I would have it to where she and Peter are still close friends, and maybe at the end (after Spider-Man’s “death”) Peter and MJ could’ve gotten back together again, starting a new Spider-Man free life together. I also wouldn’t have Felicia turn into Vulturess, or even Black Cat, I would just hint that she might later on in a possible future film (but still keep her character intact). And finally, I would want The Lizard as the secondary antagonist, seeing how Raimi originally wanted him in the film but Sony vetoed the decision because Raimi’s design “wasn’t human enough”. So I would just keep The Vulture, and add in The Lizard as the main antagonists. Other than, I really do like this story. Is it a darker story than the previous 3, sure, but honestly that’s only a logical next step when you’re telling this kind of story. I give Spider-Man 4 a 7.5/10
No , Peter quitting spiderman again is an insult to Spiderman 2 . It should just be a final adventure with a wholesome ending , probably with strong themes of will and determination to outdo himself and get a moment like " if this be my destiny " from comics,. that will be the perfect final threshold to overcome for this spiderman and get a happy ending he deserves .
@@humanman9920 not really when you consider the fact that Peter has quit being Spider-Man multiple times in the comics. That’s like saying Bruce quitting Batman in TDKR is an insult to TDK because he did the same thing at the end of that movie too, doesn’t work like that. Plus a more wholesome story isn’t really suitable for the finale of this saga, Peter has went through hell as Spider-Man in these movies with very few positives happening. And if he did make a positive in one film, it was squashed in the next. Plus this story brings up a real human problem that we face: that if you continue to live your life a certain way, you’ll repeat the same mistakes regardless if you’ve think you’ve learned from them. If your a drug user your still gone lie and cheat for the drugs, if your a cop your gonna lie and beat up minorities because that’s what the system made you for. If you’re continuously going to run around as a superhero, you are bound to repeat the same mistakes again. And the comics have shown this multiple times before, this really isn’t anything new. Spider-Man 2 made Peter quit because he got depressed that he wasn’t with MJ, a very selfish reason. Whereas in Spider-Man 4 Peter quits here because Spider-Man itself has now become demoralizing and exhausting, which is a fair and realistic point to make. After the events of Spider-Man 3, this feels like a logical next step into the saga imo (outside of the absence of MJ). It’s a story where Peter realizes that being Spider-Man will just be a continuous struggle of the same issues he’s had to deal with before, and with Peter’s life haven been overtaken by Spider-Man, he needs to quit to live a better life despite his wants. Seems like Raimi wanted to end it with Spider-Man quitting anyways, seeing how multiple different reports of the script have pretty much the same ending. So if that’s the story Raimi feels like is the next step, what’s wrong with that?
Im not gonna lie I really wish we could have had the vulture and in opinion he looks better than homecoming's vulture and I also like his ruthless motives and charactoristics.
I have to say, these spiderman 4 ones is what first got me into seeing this channel for the first time and onwards, so seeing a spiderman 4 video again really is appreciated, it's a cult classic for me to get to know more about 👐
I think there are some very interesting ideas in this plot, but I don't think they'd follow this way. Raimi himself has already said he wanted to use Kraven in the movie, so I like to believe that he would mix the Lizard's story with The Last Hunt. Could be magic
Another banger video bro it makes sense why sm4 wasn’t made I like certain elements but most of it kinda falls flat maybe one day rami will comeback and use a similar story with better execution
It has interesting ideas like existentiality, the neverending loop of life, and that no matter what you do you're basically predestined to lose, but MJ leaving Peter is just terrible, they have never really been together and at the beginning of the script they've already split up again, if this one thing got fixed, I think it would work way better now than it ever did back in 2008, definitely woudn't be a movie for all audiences, especially back in the day, now that the audience is all grown up something about it could work.
Exactly that’s the only thing I didn’t like about it. I heard a report of a different draft that stated that Peter and MJ were married and had a child together, but he would go off and cheat on her with Felicia (or Eve). And ontop of Spider-Man dying, this report also suggests that MJ finds out about the affair at the end and divorces Peter when he “dies”. So ig take your pick lol
14:32 If the Ninja Turtles exist in the Spider-Man Raimi-verse, they would've been the new protectors of New York, as Spider-Man is supposedly gone and dead.
Frankly, Spiderman 4 would have suffered from the 4th Film Syndrome. The 4th entry that would have ruined everything that made the trilogy good or at the very least complete and tidy with no more plotlines to expand on. Prime examples include: Toy Story 4 Indiana Jones 4 Halo 4 Star Wars The Phantom Menace (Star Wars 4) Transformers Age of Extinction Kung Fu Panda 4
I have no idea what were the thinking this ending is just bad especially after what happened in the second film with peter seeing what happened to the city after he quitted.
Unlike a lot of the cynical goofballs in these comments, I’m a very firm (and admittedly biased) believer that with the correct story and a proper amount of time to finish a more refined script, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 would’ve been one of the greatest superhero epics of all time as the director intended after Spider-Man 3 sort of underwhelmed some people years prior. Who knows, it would’ve been on the same level as Spider-Man 2 or the Dark Knight if it performed well.
Of course , Sam has proved himself more than enough for that , and lol deciding to not make this movie with these scripts when he couldn't get any more time before shooting began only adds further on that 😂 . Bro was absolutely not about making a half baked movie after that experience with SM-3 even though he could easily cash in on it .
@@danielmontero8200Oh wait i think ik aren't u the guy who trashes snyderverse too under the excuse that not believing in it anymore makes u right to be taking jabs on it now ? Yeah of course u're hate is shining here too u're in ur element .
@@humanman9920 What do you mean trashing the Snyder verse? What are you on about? I love the Snyder verse trilogy, even with it's flaws. But I'm smart enough to know there won't be a continuation.
Seems this film was more leaning into a mature and adult story. I personally think this is maybe why Sony decided to not continue forward with it and Sam raimi agreeing to have it rebooted.
I like some of this stuff such as this idea for Vulture and I kinda like the idea of Peter retiring(tho it should be left open ended maybe like Peter saying he will be taking a break for now)as I think it raises an interesting question of when does a job you love become toxic. Like Peter has been through and seen some stuff so it should bother him so I think it should end with Peter realizing a mental health break is needed to be an effective hero. I think how I would've donw the ending is have it be a new 2 film franchise and by the end of SM4 or 5 have Vulturess be the new hero of New York while Peter goes to have a kid with MJ.

Meh, they did the same thing with her character in 3 movies. Cutting her out as a conscience of Peter being Spider-man seems like a natural continuation.
I liked her in the first three. In fact, she’s my favorite Spider-Man movie love interest because she’s the only one that feels like a developed character that’s interesting enough without Peter. But that’s just my opinion.
After everything they went through across the trilogy? No I don’t think it would have worked. I feel like the forth movie should have been them trying to mend their relationship and regain that trust they had for one another, which could lead into their marriage in a sequel.
This is probably one if the earlier scripts, because it was stated Kirsten Durst would still be a part of the movie and there also plans to make a fitfh and sixth movie. Anne Hathaway also was supposed to have played Felicia Hardy in the movie. Anyway, there are interesting ideas, but it doesn't work. First of all, after they went through, the logical step would be to Peter and Mary Jane being strong as a couple, maybe on their way to get married. Second, giving a repeat of Norman's death, but with Adrian feels unnecessary. I remember reading that Raimi wasn't satisfied with the scripts, learning now about this one, I can see why. Which sucks cause they could've made a great fourth movie.
I still want Spider-Man 4 BUT NOT THIS SM4. I'd like to see a 2020s Spider-Man 4 with elements of these story ideas but keep continuity with NWH (in this one, it takes place after NWH). Hopefully that happens.
While I love this to happen, I want Raimi's Spidey 4 to have a different theme with the Vulture attached to it without the Vulture's daughter's involvement, but let that be part 1 with Vulture while part 2 for Vulture's daughter. This must like Raimi's Spiderman 2 in which Harry is questioned by looking at the Green Gobby mask a put his conducts to Spiderman in the next time he sees him. That must be acceptable for the Vulturess in a way she must be taken down to jail for her crimes similar to Green Goblin, not having her dead like with Norman Osborn in Raimi's Spiderman 1. Let's be straight and simple about this: ·Spiderman 4-Part 1->The Vulture escaping for Revenge on Spidey without additional villains woth post-credit scene of him going to jail ·Spiderman 4-Part 2->The Vulturess's emergence into as Spidey's next threat with post-credit scene leading to the Lizard in the 5th film It was said Raimi would show us his world's Lizard in there or his 5th movie. If Raimi wants to end his Spidey movie series, then the main antagonist would be the Vulture. He must leave out the other antagonists since the Vulture is a killer with killing blades as for wings. This would be a fascinating idea.😉
I came up with a great story for Spider-Man 4 that would have been absolutely terrific and a fitting end to the Raimi films; I wrote it a while back. The villains would be The Lizard & Kraven the hunter. It would also be about Peter mutating into the Man-Spider, which would be up Raimi's alley seeing as he's great at directing horror movies..
If the film really would be as it was told in the video, then it was good that it was canceled, because I don't understand this obsession with separating Always and Always PP and MJ
I think Raimi knew he wouldnt be able to do this film. Spider-Man 3 is a perfect ending, everyone's arc is finished and there's nothing more you can tell rly. Harry dies, MJ and Peter get back together and there's no reason for any drama at all for Peter. This script feels way too disconnect with all the others because of the lack of character's in Peter's personal life. Which were really the only people that connected each movie to each other.
Dunts actually said that she was unconfortable with the portray of Mary Jane, passing from a girl looking for an escape of her home life to a girl having no problem in cheating
What do you think spider man 5 would’ve been about if this film came out and do you think black cat and the lizard would be introduced. Personally I think that it was a good idea to cancel spider man 4 because the studio was giving Sam Rami a very hard time and I think Sam rami doesn’t deserve to be treated like that and kinda makes feel more bad for him to be honest with the backstory of this film and spider man 3
@@kendi5391Furthermore the Lizard is not a “hardcore” or “brutal” villain! He’s a sympathetic antagonist, the whole point of his character, is his desire to use science to help himself and others only to transform himself into a passenger in his own deformed body.
If Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man universe (Earth-96283) got a second trilogy, my personal guess is that it would be a slight mashup of The Amazing Spider-Man and MCU Spider-Man movies (4 would have Lizard and Vulture, 5 would have Electro and Mysterio, and 6 would have the Sinister Six led by either Kraven or Hobgoblin).
It all would've depended on what Sam Raimi and Sony would've wanted. But by this point, Spider-Man 4 was intended to be the last considering Raimi wanted to move on, Tobey Maguire's three movie deal with Sony expired so they would've had to pay him more money than ever before, and of course Sony wanting a younger high school Spider-Man considering Tobey's age was starting to become noticable.
Honestly this movie just isn't it. Bruce Camphell as Mysterio should be a bigger deal than nothing, Vultures are just repeat of Osborns, the conflict of Spider-man taking too much of Peter seems just like Spider-Man 2 and this movie ruins perfect ending of Spider 3.
The idea of everyone in Peters life moving on with their lives with or without him The Daily Bugle turning into TMZ Peter repeating a mistake from a previous film
@@WarpingFist IMO, the Bugle thing is kinda weird and feels like it's from an early first draft that had little to do with the later ones. It feels like it only exists to bring in the Eve character and explain how she meets Peter, but...they could just do that with generic "new management" Or not even new management, she could just be a reporter. Other than that, it doesn't seem like the TMZ shift has anything to do with the story. I could maybe see a world where Eve uses it in the later half to destroy Spider-man's reputation after her dad dies, or if she somehow used it to discover Peter's identity instead of just seeing the fight happen. The first idea definitely has some legs for a movie, but I dunno if it touches too much on the previous films. We already had "Spider-man no more" in 2, and a lot of the Vulture elements are Norman/Harry all over again, except instead of it being a best friend, it's a love interest. Vulture's death is basically a slightly darker recreation of Norman's glider. The beginning of the movie also seems at odds with the end of the movie. If they're trying to establish that supervillains are becoming more common, isn't that a sign retiring as Spider-man is a really bad idea? Dark Knight Rising made more sense because if I remember right, it was established that after the second movie, Gotham didn't really have anymore supervillains until the start of that movie. Bane and Talia are ultimately defeated, and Bruce has Robin to take over in his place. Gotham doesn't need him anymore. I don't know if that really holds true with New York and Peter. I think if they had to go that route, it might have worked better if they introduced Ben Reilly at the end...maybe have a scene right before the end credits where Scarlet Spider swings by and Peter's V.O talks about being sure someone will step up to take care of the city. Or nowdays, they could do something with Miles instead.
By the sounds of it, this film would have utterly soured Raimi's legacy when it came to his Spider-man films. To think it could have gone from the absolute highs of Spider-man 2 to the stumbling block of 3 to what would have been a monumental mistake with a 4th is wild. At least Spider-man 3 in retrospect isn't *all* that bad like it was initially received, the messages and themes are good and the ending is a perfect, bittersweet sendoff for Peter and MJ that leaves a lot of interpretation with the two. This 4th one just sounds bleak, and doesn't even feel like it properly connects to the other 3. The Vulture and Vultress were too close to Norman and Harry but higher levels of violence I guess and the whole ending just feels a bit weird to me.
Agreed! This film’s entire theme is antithetical to who Spider-Man is, Peter Parker doesn’t give up, he doubts and questions himself but he never gives up no matter what life throws at him, it’s what makes Spider-Man 2 one of my favorite movies, it portrayed that struggle and Peter eventually realized he can’t afford to give up, he has a responsibility to live up to!
If spiderman 4 did get made back then I don't think this is the script they would have used. Even spiderman two had a ton of revisions to the point it was very different than the original drafts.
Glad it wasn't made if this is anything like what the finished film actually would have been, though not because I find it "too bleak" just that I find it such an extreme U-Turn from the first 3 especially in regards to MJ and Peter. I kinda prefer No Way Home keeping it vague and just complicated instead of full on cutting each other out of their lives entirely.
Yeah, even if this was just a portion of the script (or one of many scripts), this probably wouldn’t have made for a very enjoyable film. Just seems like a huge contradiction to everything Peter learns in the first 3 films
Ok the film wouldn't be depressing but it would be great and if the story continued then I think a miles morales story can take place(P.S i know miles morales was a new character that time but i feel it would introduce a new hero when the city needs the most and peter could be a mentor)

@@danielmontero8200amazing spiderman 3
This movie doesn't feel like it connects to the first 3 like at all.
with regards to peter's misery, it makes sense, even if a little forced (a consequence of the in-development script i guess) cause he still had to face the constant consequences of being spiderman, even if his own indulgence of it took personal priority, but ultimately make the choice best for everyone. here though he grows up and accepts that his own well being comes above all, even if his hero gig technically helped new york.
still a weird script considering it doesnt adapt much of anything, and the forced ending of it all

@@freddyjosereginomontalvo4667 Yo, dude. I'll correct you one thing. But Miles at the times of those scripts and storyboards didn't even exist xD
SM3 is a perfect ending for Tobey, but if they made a fourth then this cant be it. Have it be a story taking place 5 years later with MJ and Pete married, Aunt May finally passing away and the theme of the movie about moving on vs the past coming back to haunt you:
Spider-Man 2002: Power and Responsibility
Spider-Man 2: Destiny and Choice
Spider-Man 3: Revenge and Forgiveness
Spider-Man 4: The Past and Moving on
Totally, the ending of Spider-Man 3 gave me the impression that Peter and MJ’s relationship was Unbreakable now due to the amount of shit they’ve been through
Both of them having a child would have been the perfect encapsulation of some the previous films themes.
What would Sam Raimi’s Spider-Mans 5-6 be about?
ideally nothing because 4 would be the ending
@@smileysuburban8146 And if not ideally?
I'd rather is Gwen get more time to shine because she did get much to do in the third film and having Peter and mj be friends and go they're separate ways until like the fifth film
I won't lie the idea of spider-man taking over his whole life has always been a concept I liked
Well, He was under pressure to make this the best film ever, which is a kind of pressure I wouldn’t wish upon anyone.
Idk man I think this movie is just a repeat of the second, but with Peter not returning as Spider-Man, and this isn't something Spider-Man would do, he would never give up forever, goes totally against the "with great powers comes great responsibilities" and one of the core aspects of the character, the philosophy that if you have the power to make difference, you MUST do it
Probably this is the script already with the alterations, totally sure this isn't Raimi's vision
Honestly, Spider-Man 3 should be the finally, it feels like it gives closure to everyone, which is perfect for me, even if the plot was confusing

Sam rami also said that if it were to happen it would be at the right time
Honestly, after all these years, I think it's way more fun to imagine what could've happened after Spider-Man 3, than it would have been to actually see a fourth movie.
Amen to that brother
It's a darker concept, and it kind of resembles the MTV show. There were talks about there being another trilogy after Spider-Man 3 so idk how it would have worked. That being said,I would have ate up the movie though 🕺.
Am I in some alternate universe? I coulda swore Spiderman 4 would be about Vulture, Black Cat, etc being on a higher point than depressing
Perhaps. The film ends with her disappearing into a crowd so spin offs may have been considered if this was made.
I also like this version, and I think raimi didn’t really want to continue working on Sp5 and Sp6 so there was no point in continuing

I think there are some very interesting ideas in this plot, but I don't think they'd follow this way. Raimi himself has already said he wanted to use Kraven in the movie, so I like to believe that he would mix the Lizard's story with The Last Hunt. Could be magic
It sounds like it would have been a good film , little emotional here and there but with the message of moving on and letting go .

Right, MJ leaving Peter is a terrible choice cause it seems like their relationship was never stable to begin with.

Eh she was kinda the worst part about those movies
WARPINGFIST POSTED A NEW VIDEO🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥(love every video you posted)
I think this was just one draft, because Toomes was supposed to take over the Bugle.
14:40 that caught me so off guard 💀💀
Sounds a little like what the MCU is doing with Tom spidey now
I still want Spider-Man 4 BUT NOT THIS SM4.
I'd like to see a 2020s Spider-Man 4 with elements of these story ideas but keep continuity with NWH (in this one, it takes place after NWH).
Hopefully that happens.
8:18 nope Eve is definitely Black Cat, that's literally exactly what happened with her dad
Let's be straight and simple about this:
·Spiderman 4-Part 1->The Vulture escaping for Revenge on Spidey without additional villains woth post-credit scene of him going to jail
·Spiderman 4-Part 2->The Vulturess's emergence into as Spidey's next threat with post-credit scene leading to the Lizard in the 5th film
It was said Raimi would show us his world's Lizard in there or his 5th movie. If Raimi wants to end his Spidey movie series, then the main antagonist would be the Vulture. He must leave out the other antagonists since the Vulture is a killer with killing blades as for wings. This would be a fascinating idea.😉
the ending is similar to The Dark Knight Rises where the hero faked his death and retire.
14:45 what the hell ? 😅
I has nice ideas, needs a few work here and there, but this is still amazing
Well one things for certain, Raimi’s Spider-Man would’ve joined the MCU during Avengers 1.
Interesting. This is the version without Anne Hathaway as Toombs Daughter who would've bee a versio of The Black Cat and Peter's new love interest.
oh mah gawd, this would’ve been darker than NWH I think.
If the film really would be as it was told in the video, then it was good that it was canceled, because I don't understand this obsession with separating Always and Always PP and MJ
SIX WHOLE FUCKING MINUTES AGO?!?!?!!!
Here’s an idea would if the Boy peter Gives the Spider-Man Doll to is Henry Aunt May,s next door Neighbor from Spider-Man 2
Dunts actually said that she was unconfortable with the portray of Mary Jane, passing from a girl looking for an escape of her home life to a girl having no problem in cheating
i like it wish they done it
Weren't there also rumors of Jim Carrey playing Carnage or was that never considered?
It was a fake rumour
That was just fan casting, never official. Carnage was never planned to appear in Raimi's Spider-Man 4.
Carnage wasn’t likely to appear Raimi didn’t like Venom, Carnage was even worse, I can’t see why he’d add him in.
What do you think spider man 5 would’ve been about if this film came out and do you think black cat and the lizard would be introduced. Personally I think that it was a good idea to cancel spider man 4 because the studio was giving Sam Rami a very hard time and I think Sam rami doesn’t deserve to be treated like that and kinda makes feel more bad for him to be honest with the backstory of this film and spider man 3
I still want to see it anyway
Young kristen dunst in Spider-Man is so hot
Ye especially in 1 and 2🔥
Ending is too much like Dark Knight Rises.
I was super bummed ab this not being made, but where we ended up in the long run? I'm totally ok with that. 😊
14:45 Uhhhhhhhhhhh
💀
The lizard must be added cause the vulture yeah he is evil but the story needs brutal and hardcore villans not soft ones
Did you watch the video? He was a mercenary that leaves nothing but bones
@@kendi5391Furthermore the Lizard is not a “hardcore” or “brutal” villain! He’s a sympathetic antagonist, the whole point of his character, is his desire to use science to help himself and others only to transform himself into a passenger in his own deformed body.
@@henrygambles3652 yeah pretty much
@@kendi5391 Yeah just felt that was another point worth mentioning! Yes,The Lizard eats people but The Vulture sounds malicious and cruel!

Man I would’ve cried as a kid if I seen this, it’s so bad 😭
keep it up bru these r so entertaining 👏 can u do one on civil war
Warping what elements from this script do you think could possibly carry over to an actual Sam Raimi Spiderman 4 if it were ever made?
The idea of everyone in Peters life moving on with their lives with or without him
The Daily Bugle turning into TMZ
Peter repeating a mistake from a previous film
The plot is confusing as. BUT the ending is so reminding of NWH. Right RIGHT..???
Eh all the villains in the trilogy had similar motives so why not Vulture and besides at least this one sticks to hia main goal.
If spiderman 4 did get made back then I don't think this is the script they would have used. Even spiderman two had a ton of revisions to the point it was very different than the original drafts.
Thanks God that this didn’t happened
Glad it wasn't made if this is anything like what the finished film actually would have been, though not because I find it "too bleak" just that I find it such an extreme U-Turn from the first 3 especially in regards to MJ and Peter.
I kinda prefer No Way Home keeping it vague and just complicated instead of full on cutting each other out of their lives entirely.

Yeah, even if this was just a portion of the script (or one of many scripts), this probably wouldn’t have made for a very enjoyable film. Just seems like a huge contradiction to everything Peter learns in the first 3 films
I kind of like this idea
Ok the film wouldn't be depressing but it would be great and if the story continued then I think a miles morales story can take place(P.S i know miles morales was a new character that time but i feel it would introduce a new hero when the city needs the most and peter could be a mentor)
This sounds like booty juice, NGL. If this was the final script, we're better off ending the series on SM3.
given that she’s the daughter of the Vulture, her name would be Liz Allan aka Vulturess
Yeah i cant believe im saying this but I'm glad it wasn't made
Eh it had some good ideas
Too close to Harry and Norman imo
