I go back and watch dbza about twice a year. I don't see a decline in quality at all. In fact, the quality only ever seemed to INCREASE to me. I have two small children that I can't wait to introduce it to once they're a suitable age. What you did left a mark on a MASSIVE group of people that love you for everything you do.
I reckon DBZA literally went on the steepest incline ever, the quality got so high and it kept getting higher. I really wish the buu saga went through, I could imagine the voice of buu. Woulda been so good!

The show never declined because everything took more work to meet the standard they set. IIRC the Broly movie was especially taxing because of many times they had to scrap a draft and start from scratch and I feel like people have already forgotten just how long Episode 60 took to make.
My husband introduced me to this series back in 2016, at a point in my life where things were just rough. It was healing for me both mentally, and with my relationship with my husband. 7 years later, I still find myself rewatching this series when I just need a good laugh and I have to say, I think it gets funnier the older I get. Which makes it even better. Thank you for sharing your talents and creativity with the world.
I had a feeling that episode 60 was going to be the last of the series, but honestly I didn't feel bad about it. Not because I felt the quality was going down, because by god the work you guys put out has always been great, but because I was seeing the signs of burnout. The space between episodes and seasons was growing long. You guys put a lot of love into that series, and we loved it for 11 years. I felt that episode 60 was a great place to end, rather than letting it slowly decline as creative fatigue worsened. You guys made the right decision, and I still support your work. I've been following you for 10 years now, and I will keep following you, because your work is great.

A massive and wonderful change happened to my perception of the show about halfway through Namek (and for many other fans I'm sure). There was a moment i stopped saying "I love abridged it's my favourite parody RUclips thing" and became "I love abridged it's my favourite dub" I was fulfilled by the end of the Cell saga and satisfied that as Picollo said to Gohan "You peaked" the show kinda did too. I'd hate to reflect on DBZA in 5 years or however long and say "Yeah it went downhill after" and it would only be my selfishness that would demand more content from a team that perfectly hit the target with E60. (I cried watching it the first time and the original never did that) Thanks guys and girls for a decade of joy and another decade ahead of new stuff to watch and enjoy just as much
if they took 7 years to recharge those creative batteries, then it would be perfectly fine by me. I don't want them to be forced to make it, if they one day decide they want to try it out again, then that would be amazing, but not if its costing them so much literally and figuratively.

I don't think they believe that is was declining, just that they know it can. Their plates are so full that making DBZA as it should be is less likely and more time consuming, so it's better to go out on their own terms
The thing they are saying was declining was their work after Cell. Cell was the highnote, the climax, the apex. Everything they were producing after was garbage by comparison is the point they're trying to make.

Burnout is a pain and makes you hate what you once loved, but sometimes you just need time to distance yourself, recharge, and find that inspiration again. I can speak for the DBZA fan community, that we all agree that as ep 60 grew closer, the quality only *went beyond our expectations.* I mean seriously they've yet to not surprise me lol.
The fact that so many people are sad to see DBZA discontinued means you guys did such an incredible job. What you guys did is nothing short of a masterpiece, and it would be a shame to have it tarnished by so much pain during the creation process. I think all of us should be able to understand that.

Yeah it ended on a high but I feel like they didnt treat the fans very well with it. They never really kept us updated about whats going on, it was an abrupt end, they claimed "burn out" yet continued to consistently release their other content and DBZA shorts. You guys put a lot of love into that series, and we loved it for 11 years. I felt that episode 60 was a great place to end, rather than letting it slowly decline as creative fatigue worsened. A massive and wonderful change happened to my perception of the show about halfway through Namek (and for many other fans I'm sure). There was a moment i stopped saying
"I love abridged it's my favourite parody RUclips thing"
and became
"I love abridged it's my favourite dub"
I was fulfilled by the end of the Cell saga and satisfied that as Picollo said to Gohan "You peaked" the show kinda did too.
I'd hate to reflect on DBZA in 5 years or however long and say "Yeah it went downhill after" and it would only be my selfishness that would demand more content from a team that perfectly hit the target with E60. (I cried watching it the first time and the original never did that)

I think they just wanted an excuse because dbza kept getting better
I think it's more that they knew it would due to a lack of creative drive and of emotional connection to the Buu Saga itself.
I don't think they believe that is was declining, just that they know it can. Their plates are so full that making DBZA as it should be is less likely and more time consuming, so it's better to go out on their own terms
The thing they are saying was declining was their work after Cell. Cell was the highnote, the climax, the apex. Everything they were producing after was garbage by comparison is the point they're trying to make.

Secondly, I commend you guys for all the Copyright's you probably had to deal with Toei to keep the series going! Yh tbf it taints the series in my opinion, that they teased a buu saga (which buu is my fave character, even over cell so was well hyped since seeing ep 60), got peoples hopes up and then tell us we'll never see it.

Personally tfs ends here for me, trust is gone, and now thinking about dbza is just gonna leave a bitter taste in my mouth... Like i get their reasons, but that doesn't make up for all that crushed anticipation.
"Decline in quality"? Man you guys are way too hard on yourselves. Burnout is a pain and makes you hate what you once loved, but sometimes you just need time to distance yourself, recharge, and find that inspiration again. So many people love DBZA and you can see from the comments here that people enjoyed it right up to the end. Thanks for everything you have done. I really hope you guys decide to continue it someday.

There was never a decline in quality. I always keep coming back to watch the whole playlist, and knowing it ends with some of my favorite episodes makes that anticipation so much better. Yeah it ended on a high but I feel like they didnt treat the fans very well with it. They never really kept us updated about whats going on, it was an abrupt end, they claimed "burn out" yet continued to consistently release their other content and DBZA shorts.
I even posted a rant up there somewhere and they never responded to it. Kinda says it all. They could have communicated and treated us better really.
