Jason Burton is of the very finest gunsmiths there is. He works extensively if not exclusively on 1911. No, it’s not a custom 1911 but it’s outstanding. I personally carried a TRP for over a decade while serving as a LEO in a major city PD. I’m a firearms instructor and I conceal carry virtually every day. I own and have carried Glocks, Sigs, S&Ws, Colts, Les Baers, Berettas and others. I keep circling back to my 1911. The 1911 is most certainly alive and well….

On Oct. 2, 2024, my wife and I visited the indoor range at Bud's Gun Shop and Range in Lexington, Ky. We took several pistols, two were my new TRP and my MC Operator. The Range Officer was a Viet Nam Veteran. It was an honor to have him be the first to fire my new TRP. I then asked him to shoot my MC Operator. It was an honor to have him fire both of my Springfield Armory 1911's. We were honored to meet and have that interaction with him. He told me they were excellent pistols. I wholeheartedly agree.

I've seen TRPs range from (I've seen it as low as) $1200-$1700. But this one is gonna cost more... people can spend a little more and get a staccato. Or I could splurge and get an Alchemy or WC. I love my TRP I got but I wouldn't have spent $2k on it.

I hope you gave it a GOOD trigger that breaks like a glass rod, not like mush!

I would like to see a full-size 5” full rail bull barrel tungsten guide rod optic cut for 407k or 507k in 9mm 3-4 pound trigger front sight a very bright color for my eyes. Total pistol weight around 50 ounces unloaded. I know I’m dreaming but that’s what I’m currently looking for. Preferably all stainless steel other than the tungsten guide rod.

Why not 30lpi or the golf ball style checkering from the emp4? 20lpi just tears up your hands and that's from an Infantryman not a desk jockey.

Man that's purty! But I must admit, my eyes are only on 10MM right now. First the XDM Elite 10, Then a Ronin in 10MM. But I'll never turn down gun pr0n like this!

      I know this isn’t a 1911 but have you considered a p220 10mm? They are insanely accurate.

I'm just really disappointed you didn't go with the full bull barrel. Have an old TRP Operator model and its amazing, these new ones look just as good but the decision to nix the bull barrel is a deal breaker for me 🤷‍♂
