Nice restoration and very clean looking video. I have a similar grinder, and was wondering if you could tell me where you found the new stone? i haven't been able to find one for mine.
Nice video mate, but you should get some soft jaws for when you have threaded parts and shafts in the vice to stop the vice jaws damaging them while still holding them steady.

I found it on eBay. I looked for "3 inch grinding wheel" and it seems like a very good match

Thanks for the advice. I just bought some rubber jaw covers for my next project
Nice video.. i have the same grinder but i cant find a stone for it. Where did you get it.
EBay. Its a 3 inch wheel
Why did you pound a nut into that stone? A bushing is the way to do it properly. You added lots of stress to that stone, glad it's not motor powered
Thanks for the feedback. The nut seems to be working well to keep the stone steady but I'll look at a bushing when its time to replace it again.
