I wish to thank you for being a personal inspiration. I’m 66 years old and confined to a wheelchair. I spend most of my time on the radio. I'm a ham radio amateur, Callsign KX4ND. But that’s about all I do for entertainment. Now that I have watched your videos, I have become an enthusiast about trying my hand at restoring items. I'm currently planning on having a workshop built in my backyard to have tables and tools set up at a level that I can reach from my wheelchair. Please continue with your videos because they do have a positive impact on many different people. Thank you.
Never replace that capacitor, I love seeing the comments about it and it's a great running joke! Love how you incorporated your logo into the grinding wheel and it looks great, thanks for sharing!
And it also makes this not a restoration. There’s a reason few restorers remove casting marks and edges. Let alone filling in all the factory normal imperfections with bondo..... You’re changing the object into something it never was. Which is fine. But it’s not restoration.
Robert Barth how do you over work something to its former condition? Either it’s in it’s former condition, or close to it. Once you pass that, you’re no longer restoring.
Excellent travail ! D'où que tu sois en France, ça me fait vraiment plaisir de savoir qu'il y a encore de vrais artisans qui partagent leur savoir-faire ! 👌
Your channel should be called "Better than factory" because you restore things so well and with such consideration to both being functional and aesthetically pleasing, it truly is an art you perform each and every video. Thank you!
dudenamed clem well it’s certainly not restoration tho, by definition. He’s essentially remaking things, rather than restoring. Which is fine. They look very nice, obviously. But still kinda annoying to call it restoring lol. Not going to stop me from watching tho :)
There are so many restoration channels popping up recently and they all fall short of your thorough process…Well you and My Mechanics. You put those other channels to shame Sir.
Pretty sure that brass collett that was put on the winder handle axle isn't supposed to be there. I think the winder handle is supposed to slide along the shaft so when you stop winding, the axle kicks the handle away to prevent the handle causing injury.
now that you say it, that sounds and looks like you may be onto something... But something needs to be there to take up space and hold handle on. Spring , like mentioned maybe ? I bet the previous owner put it there after whatever went there broke, maybe ?

When I was a kid my grandfather had a giant hand-cranked grinder in one of his sheds. He'd use it occasionally to sharpen some random tool. We kids would just crank it for the hell of it, like you did at the end there.

Hi
Hi
Please reply
This was posted almost a year ago lol he not gonna reply
You mean the pan you say is 130 years old when it clearly isn't?

Hi Joseph,
I'm curious to know : did you succeed to built your workshop?
thats awesome!
I kinda wanna know too
Did you do it??
The grinding wheel looks brand new after the sandblasting, amazing.
my machanics please upload some new content, we miss you 🙁
I miss you my mechanic
Why use the paint stripper on the metal parts if you were going to sandblast them anyway?
@@Oatmeal2six when you are sandblasting the paint make the process slower
@@Oatmeal2six Probably to keep the sandblasting medium as clean as possible.
No irritating background music.... No nonsense talking.... Just doing the work peacefully.....
I enjoy watching your videos.... Great work.... 🙌👍
@Jakobczak Piotr what icon?
@@jaiparashuram8682 I believe he thinks your icon is a swastika.
Does this means that we now can ship tools to you that you will grind for us? 😉 😂... nice restoretion my friend 👌
Lol
Where is your ✔️
There's something so satisfying about watching all these parts being reassembled. And that black magic stuff, that's just pure ASMR right there.
Never replace that capacitor, I love seeing the comments about it and it's a great running joke! Love how you incorporated your logo into the grinding wheel and it looks great, thanks for sharing!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Unless it gets replaced with a FLUX capacitor!
Remove the capacitor and put a pull starter from a chainsaw.. Will work better 👍😁
Well done colleague!!!
Why clean all your dishes in the dishwasher machine when you can sandblast them all?
Because the sand would get greasy and it won’t work proper.
@One Duwang Boi I think you just wooooshed yourself. Think again
I love your restorations. You’re one of the few who clean up the casting marks, and edges. It makes a difference in the final outcome. 👍🏼👍🏼
And it also makes this not a restoration. There’s a reason few restorers remove casting marks and edges. Let alone filling in all the factory normal imperfections with bondo..... You’re changing the object into something it never was. Which is fine. But it’s not restoration.
Removing the casting marks and using bondo is called over restoring.
Robert Barth how do you over work something to its former condition? Either it’s in it’s former condition, or close to it. Once you pass that, you’re no longer restoring.

Thank You! I get to watch TysyTube and the Super Bowl on the same day! Hallelujah!
Loved your recycling the letter into your work! Excellent job as always. You teach me a lot without saying a word!
The Black Magic part was quite impressive
Pretty sure that brass collett that was put on the winder handle axle isn't supposed to be there. I think the winder handle is supposed to slide along the shaft so when you stop winding, the axle kicks the handle away to prevent the handle causing injury.
I think it needs to have a spring in the place of the collett.
Clunk good eye
now that you say it, that sounds and looks like you may be onto something... But something needs to be there to take up space and hold handle on. Spring , like mentioned maybe ? I bet the previous owner put it there after whatever went there broke, maybe ?
but then again, back in the day , safety features werent used like they are today, the user had to use caution and people used common sense a lot more
warren michael or maybe you’re supposed to apply pressure to keep it engaged while turning.

Sandblasting by your hand is like God gift.
This is probably my favorite one of yours so far!
That is amazing how you restored that hand grinder to working order. It looks much better and it works like a charm as well. Great work.
I can honestly say that until watching this channel, I never knew how much grease/lubricant had to go into machines like this.
Watching the sandblasting is so very satisfying. It's my favorite part too!
