Brian doesn't interrupt anyone. Anyone interrupts him.
- Confucius.
Stop Swearing !!!,! I admire all of u it stop SWEARING ¡!, show that martial arts always speak with respect !,!,!,!”! I love you guys ..... stay RESPECTFUL
Confucius say "Duck"! xD
HOLY CRAP! After I watched this video I tried splits against the wall, at first it was very painful but I kept the breathing tip in mind and mentally switched my muscles off 1 by 1. I watched my legs part and my pelvis sink to the floor. Frikken amazing wtf!?!?
Great tips! They're spot-on! I have been implementing all but one of these tips for the past few months and my flexibility is increasing. I never really thought about pushing into my splits instead of pulling into them but I will actively concentrate on doing that from now on. I have done full front and middle splits in the past. I was starting to get a little concerned that I may not achieve the flexibility to do them. After hearing that it took you 5 years to attain the splits, it gives me hope. Thanks guys!
lol i love that Brian interrupts u lol
WMCNG NG * lol I love that Brian interrupts you*
Laughing out loud, I love that Brian Interrupts you.Laughing out loud.
I think he’s actually interrupting Brian.
i love how straight forward and chill brian is
Just stretch. Work hard and keep quiet and finally take the pain.
In Brian's mind he must be screaming. "Stop being a 🐈"
also another neat tip, if you don't have partners for the wall split start off lowering your legs by yourself, they'll lower down over time to an extent but onc eit gets to where that's getting you no where, do the opposite, sit facing the wall and slowly, SLOWLY and carefully, try to scoot yourself against the wall till your ground, chest and stomach are flat against the wall, but for any other stretch techniques it's not hard to youtube kicking stretches from several different martial arts and try them, that's what i do, i dunno if i'm missing a stretch or something but i get a lot of hip pain neat my pelvic and upper thigh connector joint when i try to raise my leg too far above my waste, so yeah, dunno, if anyone has any idea, i'm happy to listen, loving this channel so far
6 years to get mine 👍🏼 Just stay consistent
6 years?? Do you think it's possible to get it in 1 year?
TheMdub27 definitely with plenty of stretching..I stretch for about 20-30mins before I do martial arts and I stretch lightly when I wake up and before bed...I would start slow and then work your way up...I wouldn’t try to do anything major when you first start and keep in mind what they said about relaxing and when you stretch hold the position and when you do try flexing your muscles then let them relax completely it helps further the stretch also after holding a position for a while you can deepen the stretch because you’ve allowed them to relax
I took 2 months and im 29 years old..i tried it two times in a day...you have to get paint ..no pain no gain...
When Dmah said it took him 5 years it made me feel a lot better I'm about 6 inches away from doing the front splits if that's what they're called? Not the one where you're facing forward and i've only been doing about 5 minutes of stretching each morning for less than a year. Side splits i'm FAR off but my goal at the moment is just to be able to do ANY form of splits. I feel after you can do one it'll get easier, once you're there you can just sit there and that in itself is a stretch
Hey Andy!! Can you finish your 12 Deadly Kicks series?
Sup 2 years ago people, still alive?
Brian is freaking awesome . I learned a lot from the first video but i guess not many people understood what he meant by Stretch Hard or Your not stretching hard enough and most important thing we forget is breathing ... still working on the split and thanks for the advice Martialclub...u guys rock !!!
Brian cracks me up!
The honesty about 5 years is sooo encouraging!!!
There are good ways to be learning the splits with Daniel's tips.
1) Do it 3 times a week for 45 min to 1 hour straight preferably towards the evening when you're at your most flexible and a high intensity and most of your stretching should be static (cba to tell you what it is just check on internet) and before you start it would be beneficial for you to take a steaming hot shower.
2) Is to stretch everyday but not at a high intensity (medium). This should be done 10-20 min a day everysingle day again towards the evening and you should again take a hot shower to loosen up your legs and make them stretchy. Also after you're done you should apply an ice pack or take a cold shower to prevent inflamation and to heal quicker ( kinda contradicting myself saying to take hot showers and cold showers 😂) .
I started to do this and my friends said with these methods they got there splits within 6 month and they couldn't touch their toes before this and they are 16 years old. I'm quite close myself.
Love it and thanks for the tips.
Thanks D-Mah! I’ve been learning Shaolin Kung Fu with my Sifu here in Christchurch, NZ. The stretching really is hard but I’m loving it and it’s paying off!! I’m getting lower and more flexible now!! I’m bout tah head off for training cos we are on lockdown for 5 days again and we have a show in October so trying to get my Five Step Fist on lock with no mistakes!! You guys are awesome!! Thanks for your guys channel!
You guys rock 😂 love the videos PLEASE MAKE MORE
Gonna start stretching again. Still the worst part about training for me XD
Yiding Yang I'm 53years OLD I'm not FAT but out of shape and I'm going to get back in shape KICKING is fun and my kid is INTERESTED IN MARTIAL ARTS.
I have been doing splits for over 10 years. I agree with all of these tips. They know what they are talking about :)
LMAO Loved the last splits video tho, I got it down after that 😂
Thank you so these tips. Keep going with the nice job guys.
I think it is important to focus on the 'relax' tip more than the 'stretch hard' tip. Pain doesn't have to be a part of the process, more over it shouldn't be. You don't have to injure yourself to increase your flexibility. What's more, you can decrease flexibility by overstretching, as your body has a tendency to tighten around an injury. Focus on the 'took 5 years' and pay little mind to the 'push yourself' mentality. Yoga is a wonderful addition to the martial journey, and can help anyone who isn't afraid to use any resource to become a better martial artist. Recently I found 'Flow with Adee' she's a great yoga teacher on You Tube, and does a complete splits training course. Could be a great way for anyone whose squeemish to learn how to splits, and do it without injury. Best of luck.
I was hoping this video was going to include Brian screaming the word "STRETCH!!!!" 5 times at us while obsessively flexing his biceps. 😁
I've been stretching for over 10 years now, still can't do the splits. gotta say tho, I started with 22 years and I'm pretty close now :) guess you might add "you're never too old" it just takes longer ;p
Some people's bodies just cannot reach that flexibility. My body is one of them, but it also doesn't help I got hit by a car as a teenager and ruined my joints.
Before that I had gotten really really far. I am older now so I don't care as much about stretching. As long as you can kick high enough to hit a tall person's head is all that matters to me.
Schwoi i think you are not Stretching Hard enough😂
obviously... °~°
My Dad is 47 and he's more flexible with the side split than me (I'm 18). It's genetics as well.
That's normal. There are people who can't do splits rightly, because their legs can't stretch wide enough. I often noticed this during training in a gym. That's how our bodies are sometimes. If you have that issue and noticed it after a long time, DON'T push yourself, because your body can't be more flexible. Aslong as your kicks are high enough and stretches are wide enough, you should be fine.
Stretching is important indeed! my kicks wouldn't have gotten higher without them, thx Dmah!
Geat info and inspiration guys.
Could you do a series on local Dojo, dojang, and kwoon in your area? (AKA martial arts gyms) and do some training videos at the gyms in their styles and talk about it? That would be great! Kind of like the Shaolin trip videos you did. That stuff was awesome.
Got it bro.. I’m stretching the f out of my inner inner peace. What about those 30 day guaranteed split stretching techniques on RUclips?
I just see a school in the future with these three as old men teaching VERY different ways but if you learn from all of them. You become (enter favorite anime character)
Hi guys! I apologise for such a long commentary. I appreciate and I like Brian's approach. But I sometimes face troubles cuz I used to push through time without patience. And there were couple of times when I got a sprain (hope it was just a sprain) while accidentally kicking my partners head almost. Can I ask for an advice on how do I stretch and not damage my parts and components? I don't have spare ones. And was it really a sprain? Maybe those was just a legit stretching and I didn't know it? I recovered for several months but I was able to walk and train but with completely no NO stretching load on my muscles.
If Dime is starting the episode than it's indeed will help
I love you guys. Love watching ya all the time. Love the progress and the team efforts. Ya treat each other as brothers. Keep it up. OSU!

Question: Didn't Brian say in another video he has been training in Karate for about 8 months under Fumior Demura?
How is it he has a black belt then in such a short time?
Well, its Brian were talking about...
So you are saying it is a fake black belt?
It is definitely a real belt that hold my gi together! :]
Yeah but what is your true Karate rank right now? What are you under Fumio Demura?
What katas do you know? Can you make a video on your Karate training or doing your Katas?

LOL omg, I love Brian. He's hilarious :D. Good tips though and for the viewers watching this tip video, always make sure you warm up first before you stretch. :)
One day I was stretching my hamstring... then I tore it :(
I can do only 1 split, but I can put both feet behind my head, But for some people, that's extreamly hard to do. I should start practicing my splits. Thanks Martial Club. Lol
Please explain how do I stay calm...and relax during hard stretching .
thanks! you guys are awesome
Guys last tip try static stretch it really helps
Thanks Dmah and Brian!!
Do you need to learn front and side splits for martial arts?
Thanks bro for your advice i really appreciate it. I thinks that will be helpful for me. Thanks bro lots of love from 🇵🇰.
BTW...do u think at the age of 20 I'll be able to reach that level of flexibility if I stretch consistently?
Am I too old for this?
I've seen people get it at their 30's. Just stay consistent
You guys rock!

twartboot no, it's good to stretch everyday
DrunkenDisciples OK thank you as well 😊
If you stretch really hard one day it is always good to take a rest the next day to recover. Be careful and do not injure your tendons or pull muscles.

Give us the sensitive side, Brian is mean!
I have made some improvements over the past few years, but I definitely have not stretched consistently. But lately I have been remedying that.
Is martial club looking for more people who are committed
What Chinese music is that?
Loved it! But I already have the splits, thanks anyway!
First btw
As someone who can already do the splits, would you agree with these tips?
MartialClub Yes, on top of that, another good tip is to watch something or listen to music while you stretch so that it distracts you from the pain. I personally like to watch Kung Fu movies just to get in the spirit and make stretching an enjoyable experience.
MartialClub Yes sir! And I'm only 12! I am that kid who was texting you!
MartialClub Remember me D-Mah!
