Probs for the best...trying to eat a “lean” diet when running that many miles a week is not the best, considering you need the extra carbs and calories, especially to prevent injury. Glad you listened to your body!
Take care of that bod girl! I totally agree - I'm a planner too, and it makes all the difference. When I don't have at least a ROUGH plan, that's when things get a little chaotic and eventually I end up making decisions that I know I wouldn't have otherwise. Thanks for the reminder. in my experience the best thing to do for bursitis is to just rest, and see a physio (if they are open) - dry needling, cupping, electricity, all really helped me! hope you feel better soon 💗
As a cross country/ track runner, I would recommend new shoes. One pair of shoes I just got like 2 months ago caused me to not be able to even walk because I got peroneal tendonitis. Ever since I got new shoes I’m feeling great and am back into my longer runs! I recommend the Nike Infinity Reacts. Those are my new ones and they’re great for putting on those miles! This may also help with your hip problem👍🏻👍🏻
I keep bread in the freezer too! Also, I have bad hips/hip flexors from being a softball pitcher and I only walk now or else I inflame those joints too much. I usually walk up and down hills outside or walk on an incline on a treadmill to make it harder :)
There are a couple of quick tips when it comes to running. 1. Check your gate (sometimes it's off and we don't realize it! Sometimes that creates muscle imbalances!). 2. Not running too much, too soon or running too often. 3. Importance of rest!

In all honesty I’d recommend seeing a solid physical therapist for your hip pain. Rubs are just going to mask the pain rather than getting at the root of the problem and what is actually causing your hip to flare up when you run
Agreed! I had the same issue and I went to a PT for a couple months. The difference is amazing! A good PT with stretch every part of you hip and give you good exercises to help :) highly recommend
i’m a runner and I had hip bursitis about two years ago. It sucked cause I had to take 1 1-2 months off of track and do physical therapy 2x a week but now I’m so much more conscious about stretching my hip and keeping it healthy! also daves bread is the best! :)
My favorite kind of Dave’s bread is Dave’s good seed it’s so good. You should definitely try it. They make bread that isn’t thin sliced and also bagels that’s have 10+grams of protein
I do cross country and soccer and this past season I also messed up my hips and it was so disappointing. But hopefully this next season will be better!
The same kind of thing happened to me when I started running Kylie. What I noticed was that my hip flexors were really tight and when I rolled them out that helped a lot. Another thing is really looking into running form and figuring out where to strike with my foot that works best for me. I hope this helps you!
Stretch your TFL!! Or foam roll if it doesn’t irritate it. The TFL attaches to the IT band and if the TFL is tight it’s going to put pressure on the bursae that sits underneath it
Hi from Northern Europe where all we eat for breakfast and lunch is bread (Amsterdam).. keeping your bread in your freezer is totally a-okay and it’ll stay soft/fresh for waaaaay longer 🤓🤓
Always make sure you keep up with your shoes too. The more you run the quicker you will need new shoes. I would need to buy new shoes every 3-4 months when I was running on a daily basis. My hips are always the first to tell me when something isn't right. 😀
Seems like you need to take a break and let it heal which could also be a sign from the universe you should take a break. Also i would recommend getting Bronson to massage you after these intense workouts because that will definitely help keep you injury free because rolling out and stretching may not be enough, and yes more water is always a good idea. If you want to try a great meal that incorporates your fondness for sweets...a knockoff of paneras strawberry poppyseed salad. Hearts of romaine mixed with leafy greens or kale. Fresh strawberries, blueberries and pineapple. Add some walnuts or pecans(whatever kind of nut you would like actually) and marzettis poppyseed dressing(they have a low fat/fat free option). Tastes phenomenal and satisfies sweet cravings while keeping you on track!

I can't run anymore either. I tore my labrum in my hip and it sucked it got to a point where it hurt to walk because it was all inflamed; had to get surgery... I hope that is not the for you. Get better!!

Binge watching all your videos😅but I had hip bursitis too about 2 years or so when I was training for Beach To Bay in Corpus Christi. I played competitive sports practically my whole life including & that was honestly some of the worst pain I’ve ever had. My PA told me I was doing too much running🤦🏽♀️So I feel your pain I could literally feel my hip joints rubbing against each other😬Glad you’re feeling better though! 🙏🏼
I highly recommend Function of Beauty! I bought the shampoo, conditioner, and deep condition for about $70. I have had it about 1/2 a year and still have half of everything left! I have thin hair and it takes me a nickle sized drop. It really suds up and feels nice. My hair always feels lighter after using it also and it looks better!
The weather sucks now. It's raining hard, lightnings and thunders... bad bad weather. And it makes me wanna sleep and not work out. BUT you made me laugh so hard i am now so motivated and I'm gonna work this booty!
I had the same hip issue a couple of years ago, and I’d say avoid asphalt at all costs and find yourself some softer trails for the next couple of weeks/months. I tried to get back to road running too early and ended up wrecking my hip. Foam rolling, stretching and trail running did the trick for me. It took some time though. Good luck!
I recommend the lush shampoo bar. It last a long time, and is pretty cost effective! If does require come lathering, but I have found it leaves my hair clean and doesn't weigh it down.

i don’t understand how people can run every day!! my body doesn’t react well to it🤦🏼♀️ my left arch is always hurting and i have shin splints on my left calf but its literally only my left leg with all the problems lol. i run 3-5 miles every other day and the days i don’t run i usually do an interval peloton ride. not completely painless but i do my best!!

I use a brand of hair cleansers called Attitude. I have long hair ( not quite as long as yours or as thick) and I workout quite a bit and it cleanses amazingly for being a clean product. Love the video. I just found your channel today🌟

Jumping in to that much mileage that fast def could’ve aggravated the hip! Maybe try 2-3 miles every other day for a few weeks once your hip starts feeling better. Coming from a long a long-distance runner :) i would also recommend doing a dynamic warmup like high knees, etc. instead of stretching. Using stretching as a warmup aggravates “cold” muscles that haven’t been moved yet! Sorry for the unsolicited advice. I run in college and my job is in the running world so I always feel compelled to talk to people about running 😂
We have the same Ons!!!!!!!!!!!, my family also keeps our bread in the freezer and I am a runner and last year I cracked my ankle bone during track season and continued to run on it because and ER doctor decided that it was shin splints before he came into the room (he talked very loudly the nurses) I knew he was wrong but we weren’t able to make an appointment with an orthodontist until almost two months later, but anyway one thing that help was Deep Blue it’s kind of like icy hot but it’s all natural, it is really expensive but it definitely helped, I couldn’t walk after races and once I put that on I could still feel a little bit of pain but again It is cracked. You might already do this but it is really important to switch out your running/workout shoes every time you wear them, if you can try to have 3 different pairs because wearing the one pair over and over again worked the same muscle over and over again. Hope this was helpful ☺️

Since it’s mostly inflammation, ice really helped with the pain. Try it if you haven’t, i underestimated icing but truly a lifesaver! 💖💖💖

Ooh, I needs to try that Quanta muscle rub. I run on a soft track, but still, some days I can just feel that same exact spot (on my left leg too) feeling kind of achy afterwards. It tends to subside after a day of rest, depending on how hard I went out the day of, so I try to easy my way into most of the time, though it doesn't always work out. Thanks for posting.
I keep a lot of stuff including my BREAD in the freezer cause it’s just me and my roomate and I don’t eat food fast enough so it’s just nice doing that when you don’t eat food fast but still love to eat things like bread lol. You good girl do you and toast your bread and eat it anyway you want
Hey Kylie! I also had bursitis in my hip and a cortisone shot worked wonders! That may be something to talk to your doctor about considering. It helped me no longer limp from the pain. Hope this helps

Kylie, you might want to try jump roping for shredding. It’s the best and fastest way, and shouldn’t inflame your hip.

We have the same Ons!!!!!!!!!!!, my family also keeps our bread in the freezer and I am a runner and last year I cracked my ankle bone during track season and continued to run on it because and ER doctor decided that it was shin splints before he came into the room (he talked very loudly the nurses) I knew he was wrong but we weren’t able to make an appointment with an orthodontist until almost two months later, but anyway one thing that help was Deep Blue it’s kind of like icy hot but it’s all natural, it is really expensive but it definitely helped, I couldn’t walk after races and once I put that on I could still feel a little bit of pain but again It is cracked. You might already do this but it is really important to switch out your running/workout shoes every time you wear them, if you can try to have 3 different pairs because wearing the one pair over and over again worked the same muscle over and over again. Just came across your videos. Love your energy and realness. Btw Same thing happened to me when I started running, resting/light cardio and ICING the area helped tremendously. Since it’s mostly inflammation, ice really helped with the pain. Try it if you haven’t, i underestimated icing but truly a lifesaver! 💖💖💖

We use the same shampoo n conditioner! N yes I get like 3 squirts of that stuff because 1 little thing doesn’t do it (n my hair is thin😂). Also I’ve been hearing a lot about Peet’s coffee so I may need to try it too! Love ur videos❤️

Ooh, I needs to try that Quanta muscle rub. I run on a soft track, but still, some days I can just feel that same exact spot (on my left leg too) feeling kind of achy afterwards. It tends to subside after a day of rest, depending on how hard I went out the day of, so I try to easy my way into most of the time, though it doesn't always work out. Thanks for posting.
I keep a lot of stuff including my BREAD in the freezer cause it’s just me and my roomate and I don’t eat food fast enough so it’s just nice doing that when you don’t eat food fast but still love to eat things like bread lol. You good girl do you and toast your bread and eat it anyway you want
Hey Kylie! I also had bursitis in my hip and a cortisone shot worked wonders! That may be something to talk to your doctor about considering. It helped me no longer limp from the pain. Hope this helps
