    Hi Matti,
I‘d love to see you do a weekly recap of your training. For me, this should include some footage of the sessions and life around that as well as data, e.g. a TrainingPeaks overview. Some comparisons of power numbers and paces over time would also be inspiring.
Keep up the work and have a good rest of the week!

    Hey Matti,
We are all here to see your journey to becoming a champion, so whatever format aligns best with that, even if it’s a short recap/overview with one meaty insight.

Enjoying the videos. I'd recommend cutting your intro a lot shorter. Just have the "supported by" slide and get rid of the welcome and hope you enjoy etc. Trust in your video skills. You don't need the big long intro. Short and sharp is absolutely enough

Aber give it a try !!!

Follow your intuition: on a day you feel like it do a sceneic artistic video, some other time an improvised iphone video on the move…the good and the bad, keep it as genuine as you are. That’s what makes it relatable and varied. Thanks

For me I go for what I can control. Such as what workouts to do and how often
To me when you set a goal which you have no control over, such as how fast or slow the competition is, you set yourself up for possible failure
You even said how Conner said you compete against yourself
But a goal of world champion is comparing yourself against others

    • @MattiWeitz
      @MattiWeitz  3 дня назад +1

I see you point! Conor so we stay on the example also had the dream to become lightweight UFC world champ - what he talked about is being focused on oneself at all times, but of course when you compete in a fight or triathlon, you race / fight the opponent - but even then in order for you to get the desired dream and goalpoast you aim for, you gotta be focused on yourself. So dream big with big goals that are detached from a timeline and "the how" and then I try to knuckle down on the process by erasing comparison.

Tri it. Timing is good because there is not a lot of content now for triathlon. I search and search and search for videos now.

Think "the every day posting" is good if targeting another segment (teens & tweens in general) with a wider more just general "consumption" content, because, teens & tweens in general today need new stuff all the time or they "feel bored"! => this transfers into growth in channels targeting these segments & and such content (just easy / fun / attention grabbing for 5-10 min entertainment - why tiktok is big.
    - I think, if I am representative for your audience at all ( a serious Age Grouper, wanting to follow someone/ "talents" "further up" but not fully out of sight (training & capability-wise) (besides following ex. Sanders, Charels Barkely etc.) - so relatable to one self. (= ideas to mix it up, ideas to do some small changes, some ones perspective that is not yet top pro, but on the way - (more relatable that the top 5 pros) and therefore another (more approachable perspective & motivational). This segment spanning age 25-60 both sexes. - if just a bit representative, "we" would much rather have a 5min. - to - "the time you feel is the right length" - for the topic you are posting about, every other day. if that's every day some times, and once or twice every fortnight other times, that would be a much more wanted approach.
(Many follow the "post as often as possible" - due to A. a faster learning-curve (getting from shitty to good faster) and B. as described above: some topics & segments whom just want to be entertained 10min. Vid's after another where the content & topic is really not that important as long as the time goes and they don't feel bored - this segment is huge, and therefore channels that carter to this segment can grow exponential fast. I don't think Triathlon and especially Long course / IM topics attract this segment. Unless you the one day got overtaken by a dolphin or marlin out swimming in breathtaking arias / beneath water shoots. Got raced by a camel on the run in Sahara etc. But that's a totally other universe & costs, and properly not good training.
    - Where, again if I'm representative, "our" focus & "wants" is more in line with what you already are doing really well - quality in topic & production (top notch) So no win in getting better by many & fast posts, you are already well "above par". And many post (with not so much quality topic-wise) , would properly make "us" who follows you think/feel, not needing to see every post, as expectations will lower with each "more every day post" (we also do not have the time like teens & tweens to just consume one vid after the next. that looks a bit more like the vid of yesterday's...
Anyways just my thoughts. - You of cause should do - or experiment, exactly what & how you wan to do 🙂- there's no real penalty, just a possibility of ending up having spend more time than otherwise ;-)

Well you decide, are you want to be RUclipsr or pro triathlete (you can do both off course)...what ever you decide do it at your own pace. If you can earn from videos by uploading them once a week then this is the way to go (if this is your go to off course). I watched a few videos and they are pretty cool so just do by the feeling I personally like this style, detailed description, and workouts...you already watched others who do the same like you this type of videos..just set your pace about your journey and I'm sure that people who like your content will watch you no matter when you put your content out. Good luck in future endeavours 💪

Sponsors want exposure. Winning gets exposure. But, so does promoting yourself. And, RUclips is part of the promotion game. Playing the promotion game is a skill like training. However, promotion is not simply about quantity but also about quality. The key is balance between quantity and quality is what makes promotion successful. And, this balance is best achieved by creating an impelling story regardless of how many times you upload a video. Perhaps, you are focusing on a goal of creating daily vlogs when you should focus on the content.
The typical advice about establishing video story-lines is firmly established by a few simple questions. Will it be a story viewers want to see and you want to do. This is called, attachment or ownership.? Will it represent a story what improves sponsorship chances (called, added likeability)? If not, then a 1 video a week, month, year vs. 1 video a day is an irrelevant benchmark when it comes to the "best way". In fact, the "best way" to create a video is hidden in the skill called - "SHOWING" a story and not just telling a story. This is why writers say, "Never tell a story, always show a story". "Show words" are emotions, not descriptions.
"Showing" is a term that implies you are bringing the viewer INTO the video. In advertising and movie making, they call this, "viewer attachment or interest". Do this and you will improve your chances of stacking your athletic performance with sponsorship interest. Many sponsors will pay athletes with average performance only because they bring likeability and advocacy credits (also called, "positive exposure"). Sponsors don't just want people to BUY their product/service, they want people to AVOCATE for their product/services. This is why "story" is important and how "story" improves the chance of sponsorship.
If there is one word to know that leads to a successful RUclips channel, it is - STORY. Without a "story", frequency is mostly irrelevant. Story is a simple word with not so simple implications on many artistic and practical levels. But, it is "story" that defines quality. Get the story right and you can do as many videos as you like. Get it wrong, and no amount of videos you post will make up for a poor story. Stories do not have to be complex or long. In fact, the best ones are typically short and simple. So simple, in fact, people will frequently say, "Why didn't I think of that?" And, all stories have a beginning, middle, and end - that's it... nothing more.
Think in "story" terms and you will realize that how many videos you make is virtually irrelevant and adds nothing but stress.

Hi Matti, i have followed you a while now and i really like your content. But i dont think that daily video is good idea, make video when you have something to film for... like key sessions and reasons behind them, weekly/monthly recap, new interesting gear etc.
And after all editing takes time even its "just a update" video.
    Keep up the good work!

Hi stranger. I usually don´t comment on YT videos. But here I go.
You asked so many different questions in 5 minutes, that is very difficult to answer any. But long story shot, make your decisions according to what you want, just as you do with your training. Don´t look at anybody and do your stuff. If you want to upload 3 videos a day or 3 a year...just do it the way it fullfills yourself. There are people to come to YT to be someone, and are other people that are already someone and then YT will come to you to tell your story. It´s your choice. Authenticity always pays in the long therm.
For the last question, I personally don´t watch everyday blogs, because I want to do the best with my time (I´m 45 years old) so I´m picky about what I see.
Just my two cents. Enjoy your journey!
