Thank you for sharing. Your bravery and courage to be vulnerable is inspiring. Mark 11:24 " Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" The way I see it, many of the new-age stuff is re-discovered/rebranded things mentioned in the bible. This includes manifestation. I prey when ever I get a chance, but especially before I sleep. I start with gratitude for another day on this earth with my family and everyone I love. I prey for god to help me make the right decisions regarding my treatment so I can make it to my kids reach adulthood. Then I ask for god help to make my immune system and body strong to fight this. I will spend time envisioning what it would feel like god to heal me and believing that god will heal me, as described in Mark 11:24.

I went from not knowing they were from God to stopping everything I was doing because I was scared it was wrong to now embracing all the healing modalities that exist that He made. The only difference is giving glory to Him and not glorifying myself and knowing that ultimately He is in control. I can do many things to help myself and he guides me on the right path to find those things, I just have to open my eyes to see and ears to hear.

Yes, we have all the resources we need yet we constantly forget and slip back into the place of trying to do things on our own. I do believe that there is a balance of us helping ourselves and when to ask God for help because he doesn't want us to just sit back and do nothing either.

Thank you for sharing such an honest and thought provoking video. As a former paediatric nurse looking after children with cancer I often thought why would God want them to suffer like that? And not only the children the parents too. I don’t follow any organised religion but I do believe there is a higher power and I do believe in an after life. When I lived in Singapore as a young teenager we lived next door to a Sikh family and they used to take me to the temple with them. At the age of 12 I told my parents I was Sikh. When I got married I converted to Islam , but I realised early on that wasn’t for me although I stayed married for 25 years not following any religion. Thank you very much for your testimony. The apostle Paul also had a thorn in the flesh and suffered much. All of the other apostles suffered martydom too, except John. Although they tried to burn him in hot oil. God allows suffering sometimes. I am having health issues too and I am working on my faith every day as well. I will keep you in my prayers, dear Dr. Nhi. Thank you for your inspirational and emotional testimony. I used to be a soldier and spent time in Vietnam. It's hard to believe that it was more than 50 years ago. Thought a lot about death when there and since, both my own and others. On the nights we were in our small outpost, I lay on my bed in the bunker reading the new testament, trying to reach through its pages to grasp onto The Lord Jesus Christ...I was afraid and unsure if I would wake up in the morning. I wanted to be able to hold onto Him and to have peace knowing that I was with Him. Two of us were moving one day and came on a Catholic Church. Must have been built by the French. We went in. I felt out of place, armed to the teeth. My partner was Catholic, me not. Communion was being offered. He got into line and took communion. I did not go but wanted to. I did not go for communion because not being a Catholic, I was not sure I was allowed. Regretted it for the rest of the day. I am glad that through your troubles you ended up with the Lord Jesus. He is your Shepherd and as one of his sheep, you know him and go to him. With Him is the peace that passes understanding.

Hello Nhi, thanks for your candor in relating your experience. As a fellow Christian, I wanted to share some encouragement from the Bible. First, the Bible tells us at James 1:13 "When under trial, let no one say: 'I am being tried by God.' For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone." Sometimes we go through trials because 'time and unexpected events' overtake us (Ecclesiastes 9:11). But our Heavenly Father does not leave us in the lurch, we have his word and prayer to rely on (Philippians 4:6,7 "Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." I hope these verses give you a measure of hope and comfort and you continue to fight this terrible disease.
Yes love these verses especially Philippians 4:6-7. I understand that God will allow for things to happen but the bad things that do happen are not from God. He doesn’t waste anything and will turn evil into good. Just have to trust Him.

Such a beautiful story. I'm so thankful your husband recognized what was going on and that he stepped in when he did. When you first mentioned meditating and yoga, I knew exactly where this was going. I've had so many doctors and massage therapists, and mental health therapists tell me I should do yoga or meditate, but I stop them immediately each time and explain that, because of my Christian beliefs, I won't be taking that path. I truly believe that stuff opens portals and messes with things that are not of God. I've seen videos by quite a few people who had very similar stories to your own, and I'm even more convinced each time. I'm so proud of you for sharing your testimony, and I'm so happy you've come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior. Listening to the end of your video, it made me think of the series we're constantly doing in church right now. It's in Matthew and we're going through all the examples of when Jesus healed different people. Our pastor has reminded us constantly that God may not always heal us physically, but he'll heal us spiritually, which is way more important. Yes that is exactly true. I don’t know if physical healing will ever come for me but I have peace knowing that I am being healed spiritually which is more important in the end for me. I still have faith that the physical healing will come.

And unfortunately I lost 😞 my mom , to lung 🫁 cancer . So she passed away before my dad , she never smoked ate a healthy diet . And when my eldest brother called me to give me the bad news , I couldn’t believe it . And at that time I was married , with a toddler & a 5- month old baby girl . So I told my mom please don’t live me , don’t leave us . Don’t be selfish , which I regretted for saying this ugly words to her . And she told me please let me go , so I can Rest In Peace ☮️ ! But I kept telling her I need u , we all do because u have 2- small grandchildren ! And at that time some of my siblings were still young , she was very religious . We are catholic went to church every Sunday too , and she always pray 🙏🏿 for all her children , the souls in purgatory . And she had so much trust in God , but when she passed away. ! I was confused myself & I regret to say this but , i was angry 😡 with God . I would question him if u exist , why did my mother get Cancer ??? Why did u take her away from us , but then I started praying 🙏🏿 and asked God to forgive me . And I didn’t read the Bible , but my dad gave me a lot of her praying books 📚 . So I started reading them & after that I felt better , but I was still having a hard time trusting God . And now that I’m older and after reading books 📚 , I have faith in him . And when I’m having a problem , that I can’t resolve in my own . I asked him for guidance & I tell him God I put this in your hands 🙌 . And I trust in you , let it be your will & whatever happens happens . And I’ll accept it & please give me strength to carry on ! I can understand your desperation in searching and seeking for solutions, a cure. When we are in such situations it is easy to be led astray. Am glad your husband was there to alert you and you were willing to honestly seek God even if it meant letting go of what seemed to be helping. The Lord will bless you for this.
Meditation is an aspect of the monastic life, and not the work of the devil. I also believe yoga isn’t counter to being a Catholic. I was happy to hear about your spiritual voyage. It is a daily struggle for everyone.
I still meditate - just sitting down and quieting the mind and contemplating God's words or just breathe. It is beneficial for your health 100%. I do not practice yoga only because it is a spiritual practice that is based on worshipping other gods and not the God of the Bible who I believe in, but this is just me and I don't fault anyone for doing yoga or anything else. I am no longer Catholic either, I am just a Christ follower and I follow the Bible. I don't put myself into any categories of religion.
@@NhiTranLee I had yoga classes in my exercise club. There was no religion involved in the teaching, just movement that enhanced flexibility. I think your method of meditation is certainly wonderful. I agree that religious affiliation is not needed.

God has now given you the ability to have true discernment. For me, I am solely a member of Christ; i.e., not an organized religion. He's free, and I've seen far too many women/men led astray from God's true word, in the name of Religion. Yes I agree, I am not a fan of organized religion as I can see the corruption in it. You either believe the Bible or you don’t, I don’t think you can really pick and choose from it. I just follow the Bible as if it is the instructions for life and I’ve found that I can’t go wrong doing that, at least for my own personal experiences.
Sweet my best advice is....do nothing, surrender to God's will, read the Bible, pray the Rosary and live your best life. You are fighting the flow of God. Flow with Him not against him. Talk to a end of life counselor help too.
Yup thats usually the case when our health disappears thats when we seek GOD for help...when we are healthy we could care less.......im VIETNAMESE too and a catholic all my life...mom made us go to church when i was little and later in life never went to church...now that im older i look onto GOD everyday...and it feels good....

I believe much of what you are saying. I have caused many of my health problems. By eating junk food, not handling stress. Not trusting GOD. I Find I need Jesus at every turn. Thanks for sharing a truth. We are responsible for our good and bad choices. It’s a journey for sure.
First, you are absolutely correct that we seek out anything that will help during an illness. This is self preservation which is the fundamental law of nature, that is to preserve ourself. This is not anymore of being selfish than eating good food, getting enough sleep, bathing, getting our hair and nails cut, dressing and anything else we might do to tend to our body. Insofar as the mind is concerned, this is true also. We read, we study, we go to classes we obtain greater skills in the areas of our pursuits. There is nothing selfish about all of this, it is our responsibility. To neglect this things is contrary to a fulfilling life We are not "sinners", yes we do error, but only in hindsight we find the errors in our judgements. This is a natural aspect of the human mind. To believe there is a "Satan" is contrary to logic. Such a belief would be contrary to the existing power of God. If that would be the case then God would not be God at all. The ide of "sinners", and "Satan", are mere superstitions which have no basis in reality at all. I left the Roman Catholic Church in my early teens as I found their superstitions were simply gloomy and had no positive value to me. I do think the Eastern Orthodox Church does have a greater understanding and appreciation of Jesus. I am not a member of that church, but I find their love of Jesus to be of greater benefit and understanding of him. I do not advocate nor deny the values of any particular religion of others as a matter of policy. I am though expressing some of my thoughts on the subject. If "understanding" are your goals, I would suggest you do a brief review of Benedict Spinoza's book titled "The Ethics". Spinoza thought Jesus was our greatest teacher and left his Jewish heritage in his early twenties as he found as I have the the superstitions of his family religion of Judaism were useless. Spinoza's writings are based entirely on logic demonstrated in the geometrical method. There is nothing negative about his thoughts and ideas. Each thought and idea he express is pregnant with another series of positive ideas. He wrote in Latin, which was the language of scholars in his days. By the way, I found your sharing your experience to be very informative. Few I have known have gone through such an exhaustive search. May the Prince of Peace always be with you.
I love your perspective and I will check out the book. I totally agree that self care and self love is necessary and not selfish. Taking care of yourself is actually the first step to caring for others because you will show the best version of yourself instead of carrying around your baggage and your pain. I am not religious, just a believer in Christ and his teachings.

Hi Nhi, Your parents and grandparents had you on the right path. Look how you turned out to be such a good person. Your husband was right too, I fell away myself, it wasn't my cancer that had me come back to Our Lord and Savior. I hear the word "enough" when I was arguing with the person I love the most. To that day, I now go to Worship God. Not for myself, Not For the music, Not for the Sermon, but the liturgy and to worship the Father Son & Holy Spirit. Church is not about me or what I can get. Its about a sacrifice of Our Father who in his Son saved us. I got a bad pathology report today. But one thing, they are only words. Like the word Sarcoma. Just a word. Jesus is the Word made flesh ( real) to all of us. Enough is no longer a word but a way of life for me. My Prayers to you , your husband and Children.

I think yoga, meditating, diet are healthy, moving stretching, being mindful,.! Mindfulness into personal peace. Those things are not New Age, people have done those exercises since beginning of time. What works for you, do that. I hope healing, good health, peace for you,, I think you are a good human.
Yes I agree and I still do meditations, mindfulness practices, diet etc. I do different forms of exercises after I broke my leg and had femurs surgeries I can’t do certain types of exercises anymore.

As far as I know I do not have cancer, although I was first diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 1980. I’m 66 now. I’ve been so gullible all my life regarding churches, pastors, etc. I mean growing up I watched on TV The World Wide Church of God, PTLClub, Jimmy Swaggart, Benny Hinn, Joel Olsteen, etc… they all pretty much are I believe are so far off the one true path. I’m going through a stage now where I’m angry at God, like He’s a machochist. I mean he seems to give us hope at times only to pull the rug out from under us. I don’t think I really believe that though…. I mean deep down I know Jesus is our only hope but you’d think he’d make it easier. Like you my story could go on for hours. My reason for writing is like I said I just happen to come across your channel. Wow it sounds like you’ve been going through quite the journey yourself. It is really difficult to fully believe and have faith and we will always have questions and doubts and not understand why things are the way they are and why God would allow for those things to happen. But the more I see his hand in my life, the more I am grateful for all that has happened, the good the bad and the ugly because it has built my character and molded me into the person I am today. Thank you very much for your testimony. The apostle Paul also had a thorn in the flesh and suffered much. All of the other apostles suffered martydom too, except John. Although they tried to burn him in hot oil. God allows suffering sometimes. I am having health issues too and I am working on my faith every day as well. I will keep you in my prayers, dear Dr. Nhi. Thank you for your inspirational and emotional testimony. I used to be a soldier and spent time in Vietnam. It's hard to believe that it was more than 50 years ago. Thought a lot about death when there and since, both my own and others. On the nights we were in our small outpost, I lay on my bed in the bunker reading the new testament, trying to reach through its pages to grasp onto The Lord Jesus Christ...I was afraid and unsure if I would wake up in the morning. I wanted to be able to hold onto Him and to have peace knowing that I was with Him. Two of us were moving one day and came on a Catholic Church. Must have been built by the French. We went in. I felt out of place, armed to the teeth. My partner was Catholic, me not. Communion was being offered. He got into line and took communion. I did not go but wanted to. I did not go for communion because not being a Catholic, I was not sure I was allowed. Regretted it for the rest of the day. I am glad that through your troubles you ended up with the Lord Jesus. He is your Shepherd and as one of his sheep, you know him and go to him. With Him is the peace that passes understanding.
Thank you for your service. Yes the Vietnam war was horrible especially for the Americans that came there. It must’ve been a difficult time for you, facing death. I hope you are living a life of peace now.

Hello Nhi, thanks for your candor in relating your experience. As a fellow Christian, I wanted to share some encouragement from the Bible. First, the Bible tells us at James 1:13 "When under trial, let no one say: 'I am being tried by God.' For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does he himself try anyone." Sometimes we go through trials because 'time and unexpected events' overtake us (Ecclesiastes 9:11). But our Heavenly Father does not leave us in the lurch, we have his word and prayer to rely on (Philippians 4:6,7 "Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." I hope these verses give you a measure of hope and comfort and you continue to fight this terrible disease.
Yes love these verses especially Philippians 4:6-7. I understand that God will allow for things to happen but the bad things that do happen are not from God. He doesn’t waste anything and will turn evil into good. Just have to trust Him.
I came across your channel a few weeks ago , hearing your story and your fight against this disease , at that time I was hoping you were a child of God and that you know him , I’ve thought about you and prayed for you often ..remember “In my Father’s house are many mansions “ He has a home prepared for you , trust Him

When you first mentioned meditating and yoga, I knew exactly where this was going. I've had so many doctors and massage therapists, and mental health therapists tell me I should do yoga or meditate, but I stop them immediately each time and explain that, because of my Christian beliefs, I won't be taking that path. I truly believe that stuff opens portals and messes with things that are not of God. I've seen videos by quite a few people who had very similar stories to your own, and I'm even more convinced each time.
I'm so proud of you for sharing your testimony, and I'm so happy you've come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
Listening to the end of your video, it made me think of the series we're constantly doing in church right now. It's in Matthew and we're going through all the examples of when Jesus healed different people. Our pastor has reminded us constantly that God may not always heal us physically, but he'll heal us spiritually, which is way more important.

Yes that is exactly true. I don’t know if physical healing will ever come for me but I have peace knowing that I am being healed spiritually which is more important in the end for me. I still have faith that the physical healing will come.
Thank you 🙏🏿 Dr., Tran Lee for sharing your journey and I’m dealing with Fibromyalgia . And severe depression , been hospitalized twice and lost my dad this past Christmas Eve 2023 . And unfortunately I lost 😞 my mom , to lung 🫁 cancer . So she passed away before my dad , she never smoked ate a healthy diet . And when my eldest brother called me to give me the bad news , I couldn’t believe it . And at that time I was married , with a toddler & a 5- month old baby girl . So I told my mom please don’t live me , don’t leave us . Don’t be selfish , which I regretted for saying this ugly words to her . And she told me please let me go , so I can Rest In Peace ☮️ !
But I kept telling her I need u , we all do because u have 2- small grandchildren !
And at that time some of my siblings were still young , she was very religious . We are catholic went to church every Sunday too , and she always pray 🙏🏿 for all her children , the souls in purgatory . And she had so much trust in God , but when she passed away. !
I was confused myself & I regret to say this but , i was angry 😡 with God . I would question him if u exist , why did my mother get Cancer ???
Why did u take her away from us , but then I started praying 🙏🏿 and asked God to forgive me . And I didn’t read the Bible , but my dad gave me a lot of her praying books 📚 . So I started reading them & after that I felt better , but I was still having a hard time trusting God . And now that I’m older and after reading books 📚 , I have faith in him . And when I’m having a problem , that I can’t resolve in my own . I asked him for guidance & I tell him God I put this in your hands 🙌 . And I trust in you , let it be your will & whatever happens happens . And I’ll accept it & please give me strength to carry on !

This leads to living a life full of resistance and bitterness which is not good for anyone. I can understand your desperation in searching and seeking for solutions, a cure. When we are in such situations it is easy to be led astray. Am glad your husband was there to alert you and you were willing to honestly seek God even if it meant letting go of what seemed to be helping. The Lord will bless you for this.

Meditation is an aspect of the monastic life, and not the work of the devil. I also believe yoga isn’t counter to being a Catholic. I was happy to hear about your spiritual voyage. It is a daily struggle for everyone.
I still meditate - just sitting down and quieting the mind and contemplating God's words or just breathe. It is beneficial for your health 100%. I do not practice yoga only because it is a spiritual practice that is based on worshipping other gods and not the God of the Bible who I believe in, but this is just me and I don't fault anyone for doing yoga or anything else. I am no longer Catholic either, I am just a Christ follower and I follow the Bible. I don't put myself into any categories of religion.
@@NhiTranLee I had yoga classes in my exercise club. There was no religion involved in the teaching, just movement that enhanced flexibility. I think your method of meditation is certainly wonderful. I agree that religious affiliation is not needed.

Beautiful Story! Thank you for sharing your testimony aloud! I'm so happy to hear you have read the bible; as opposed to, just randomly choosing any religion that deems Jesus Christ as our Father. God has now given you the ability to have true discernment. For me, I am solely a member of Christ; i.e., not an organized religion. He's free, and I've seen far too many women/men led astray from God's true word, in the name of Religion. Now, as a side note, there is a song by the group CROWDER that always lifts me up when I start to fear my demise: "Good God Almighty"..."I hope you'll find me, praising your name no matter what comes"... Yes I agree, I am not a fan of organized religion as I can see the corruption in it. You either believe the Bible or you don’t, I don’t think you can really pick and choose from it. I just follow the Bible as if it is the instructions for life and I’ve found that I can’t go wrong doing that, at least for my own personal experiences.

Sweet my best advice is....do nothing, surrender to God's will, read the Bible, pray the Rosary and live your best life. You are fighting the flow of God. Flow with Him not against him. Talk to a end of life counselor help too.

Yup thats usually the case when our health disappears thats when we seek GOD for help...when we are healthy we could care less.......im VIETNAMESE too and a catholic all my life...mom made us go to church when i was little and later in life never went to church...now that im older i look onto GOD everyday...and it feels good....

First, you are absolutely correct that we seek out anything that will help during an illness. This is self preservation which is the fundamental law of nature, that is to preserve ourself. This is not anymore of being selfish than eating good food, getting enough sleep, bathing, getting our hair and nails cut, dressing and anything else we might do to tend to our body. Insofar as the mind is concerned, this is true also. We read, we study, we go to classes we obtain greater skills in the areas of our pursuits. There is nothing selfish about all of this, it is our responsibility. To neglect this things is contrary to a fulfilling life
We are not "sinners", yes we do error, but only in hindsight we find the errors in our judgements. This is a natural aspect of the human mind. To believe there is a "Satan" is contrary to logic. Such a belief would be contrary to the existing power of God. If that would be the case then God would not be God at all. The ide of "sinners", and "Satan", are mere superstitions which have no basis in reality at all. I left the Roman Catholic Church in my early teens as I found their superstitions were simply gloomy and had no positive value to me. I do think the Eastern Orthodox Church does have a greater understanding and appreciation of Jesus. I am not a member of that church, but I find their love of Jesus to be of greater benefit and understanding of him.
I do not advocate nor deny the values of any particular religion of others as a matter of policy. I am though expressing some of my thoughts on the subject.
If "understanding" are your goals, I would suggest you do a brief review of Benedict Spinoza's book titled "The Ethics". Spinoza thought Jesus was our greatest teacher and left his Jewish heritage in his early twenties as he found as I have the the superstitions of his family religion of Judaism were useless. Spinoza's writings are based entirely on logic demonstrated in the geometrical method. There is nothing negative about his thoughts and ideas. Each thought and idea he express is pregnant with another series of positive ideas. He wrote in Latin, which was the language of scholars in his days.
By the way, I found your sharing your experience to be very informative. Few I have known have gone through such an exhaustive search.

I love your perspective and I will check out the book. I totally agree that self care and self love is necessary and not selfish. Taking care of yourself is actually the first step to caring for others because you will show the best version of yourself instead of carrying around your baggage and your pain. I am not religious, just a believer in Christ and his teachings.

I fell away myself, it wasn't my cancer that had me come back to Our Lord and Savior. I hear the word "enough" when I was arguing with the person I love the most. To that day, I now go to Worship God. Not for myself, Not For the music, Not for the Sermon, but the liturgy and to worship the Father Son & Holy Spirit. Church is not about me or what I can get. Its about a sacrifice of Our Father who in his Son saved us. I got a
bad pathology report today. But one thing, they are only words. Like the word Sarcoma. Just a word. Jesus is the Word made flesh ( real) to all of us. Enough is no longer a word but a way of life for me. My Prayers to you , your husband and Children.

I think yoga, meditating, diet are healthy, moving stretching, being mindful,.! Mindfulness into personal peace. Those things are not New Age, people have done those exercises since beginning of time. What works for you, do that. I hope healing, good health, peace for you,, I think you are a good human.
Yes I agree and I still do meditations, mindfulness practices, diet etc. I do different forms of exercises after I broke my leg and had femurs surgeries I can’t do certain types of exercises anymore.
Ues, I understand. Femur, the strongest bone in body,it takes 1800lbs of pressure or a tumor to break it. You are in my thoughts.

As far as I know I do not have cancer, although I was first diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 1980. I’m 66 now. I’ve been so gullible all my life regarding churches, pastors, etc. I mean growing up I watched on TV The World Wide Church of God, PTLClub, Jimmy Swaggart, Benny Hinn, Joel Olsteen, etc… they all pretty much are I believe are so far off the one true path. I’m going through a stage now where I’m angry at God, like He’s a machochist. I mean he seems to give us hope at times only to pull the rug out from under us.
I don’t think I really believe that though…. I mean deep down I know Jesus is our only hope but you’d think he’d make it easier.
Like you my story could go on for hours. My reason for writing is like I said I just happen to come across your channel. Wow it sounds like you’ve been going through quite the journey yourself. It is really difficult to fully believe and have faith and we will always have questions and doubts and not understand why things are the way they are and why God would allow for those things to happen. But the more I see his hand in my life, the more I am grateful for all that has happened, the good the bad and the ugly because it has built my character and molded me into the person I am today. I am proud of myself and all I have overcome and the best I can hope for is that God uses me to help others in any way I am able. I will check out those channels. Thank you.
