“The good things in life tend to come in waves and the bad things also come in waves. So it’s really easy when you’re in either peak to forget the other exists” - Jeta Jeta, you will always be my role model (despite me being older!) ❤
As someone who is planning on going to bath next academic year i hope to meet people who are like me, feeling alone is something that has always seemed natural, the subjects i like, the people i connect and connected with, everything seems to change like the wind, everyday is different, thanks for showing me that i am not the only one. :)
yep these feelings are so common! but don’t worry about coming to Bath; worst case senario if you don’t find “your people” or feel like you don’t have a place for you, just create one. I’m planning on setting up a creative writing society next year which I’m hoping will bring like minded people to me and create a space for me 😌
Jeta I'm really inspired by your vulnerability and honesty in this vlog! I can't imagine how hard it must be to navigate uni life in an entirely unfamiliar atmosphere! I'm really proud of you and truly believe that you have to give yourself grace! Please never add unnecessary self inflicted pressures onto yourself especially to conform to people's "hyper productive" expectations for your life! You should embrace the creative control you have over your channel! Lots of love and positive energy ❤️🩹
You seem like a lovely, sensitive person. You are proactive and have lots of good coping and self care strategies. If you struggle badly, talking to someone like eg a counsellor can help, getting support from someone who understands and is there for you. I do hope things improve for you. University can be a challenging place for a lot of people. Hang in there.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. You have described exactly how I’ve felt lately at uni. I too have felt burnt out and like academics is no longer fully in control, and I am trying to let go of the guilt that comes with that as I used to study all the time. I’ve not found many people I connect with either, so it can be lonely and I’m always comparing myself and thinking I should be doing uni a certain way. But what you said about doing the little things is so good, like I’ve been trying to get out on walks and do what I enjoy to get through these last few weeks. People change and grow at uni and that’s ok. I wish I’d seen a video like this when I started as I didn’t know what to expect x
Hi Chloe, (sorry for the late response), I really am so sorry that you have been feeling this way and wish I had an "answer" or "fix" to this situation but I too am in the same boat and don't have one 😌I'm glad you are trying to do little things to help and I'm glad this video was of at least some solace. We've got this x
Thank you for sharing and being honest about how you’re feeling, Jeta. University can be incredibly lonely (I have felt like that for the majority of my degree) :(( it does feel strange if your grades are not yet where you would like them to be, but university is completely different and it takes a while to get used to how things are marked and learning how everything works from referencing to academic writing, but you will get there. I also relate to feeling lost. I only have 2 weeks left of my entire psychology undergraduate and I have no idea what I am wanting to do afterwards (which is so scary to me).
Thank you for sharing that; it’s nice to know I’m not alone in feeling this way. I also have no idea what I am going to do after uni but ofc you are in final year so I can only imagine how stressful that must feel. I hope you are looking after yourself, everything usually works itself out xx
@@Jeta_ It is no problem and you are definitely not alone in feeling like this. Yeah, I am feeling really stressed at the moment with the unknown of what will be next, but I’ll get there :)
Jeta, you are a beautiful and honest soul in a cruel and dying world. Sometimes, maybe many times we come to the end of ourselves and everything around us. It happens...I know. Nothing is wrong with you or me. The world is a crazy roller coaster ride that we are all on, just trying to live and survive. This is why we are artists and creators, because we constantly have to express the chaos. We are chaos my lady. Only a select few ever come out of denial and into true acceptance. I admire those who are brutally honest with their lives and their craft. Never be what you know you're not for the world. I am that I am...resonate 🌗
Jeta, we respect you so much for putting yourself in a vulnerable and scary situation, by posting a video like this!! Honesty is nerve wracking, it’s hard to know how to piece the things in your mind into words exactly like you said, and whether people can relate. But people will DEFINITELY relate to this!!! (And really benefit 🫶🏻). Although I’m not in your position yet, I can understand why you’re feeling the way you are - but you will get through this! 🦋 University is sort of like a whole new universe (ironically it’s like most of the name😅) - pretty much everything in your life changes at once, and it’s hard to keep up with it all. I’m sorry to hear that you lost yourself a bit and that you felt lonely, but im keeping my fingers crossed that it will get better, and it’s reassuring to know it has been so far, even if slowly! x Im so happy you’re staying on here, but whatever you want to film and whenever you want to film sounds amazing - do what’s best for you!! We all love your channel for the person behind it mostly I’m sure ☺️ Take care of yourself, and I’m wishing you positivity for this last stretch of first year xx
Hi Jeta! I'm currently watching this video from the opposite part of the world, about to do my GCSEs in a week, but I couldn't relate more with you. The idea of failure really makes you feel so "lost and lonely", even though I'm at home with my family. I wish you the best and I'm sure you'll adapt to this change or any other change soon enough!
@@KtT-sn8cy Pretty much anywhere! I personally live in Dubai but there are British curriculum schools that provide GCSEs and A-Levels all around the globe.
@@KtT-sn8cy Every country does have their own system, my parents just chose to put me in a British school. Also IB is actually from Switzerland, but it's popular around the world just like the British system and the American system.
@@wasiqnabeel999 Oh I thought IB was just some international standard, because it has international in the name lol. didn’t know it was originally swiss lol. I’m aware every country has its own system; I just wasn’t aware it is a common thing to use other countries systems depending on schools
Hey I don't have any answers to your dilemmas but you said you like creative people and I'm an artist. So here's a tip for creativity to cheer you up. That bottle of ink, is it Indian ink? Because you can use it for marbling. Take a tray, add water, drop in a few drops of ink, agitate it a bit (it will float on top of the water), lay a sheet of plain card or paper on top of the water, remove instantly and leave to dry then use it for whatever you want. You can get a few sheets of paper/card out of the same ink/water mixture but each will be more faded than the last. You can add more than one colour ink to the water too, if you have it, they don't mix into a new colour. Hope it brings you some small shred of joy.
Hi! I’m from Albania too. (Feeling so so so happy to have found you here, such a beautiful heart) . I was at the EXACT situation not only in my first year of Uni but also in my 2 and 3 year. I studied architecture and recently finished my diploma. 6 years of university and still asking myself if i like it or not. I actually deep in my heart wanted to study psychology so i’m curious to hear your thoughts on that. It is all part of the process until you find your way through everyday life. So proud of you ❤️ -Kristi-
dear jeta, i am just a year below you and picking my offers atm (one of which is bath!) for biology. honestly i've really enjoyed this video and loved your honesty, from one new beginning to the next, gcses, sixth form, i always though i would find 'my people' yet i simply feel disconnected and lonely. the bit about connecting with non-stem people really struck me as i've always made friends with creative people and managed to find a bit of magic in everything. have you heard of the fig tree analogy by sylvia plath? the beginning of this video with the narration was beautiful by the way
You don't have to feel lonely/lost, You can have JESUS ❤ He saves, I used to feel depressed, sad, lonely, etc. But when I accepted Jesus Christ into my life, I felt this unusual peace in my heart. I felt joy and I felt God's devine presence. Accept God in your life, surrender your self to him. MATTHEW 7:7 says, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Amen 🙏🏾 ❤ God loves you all.
