I'm feeling quite emotional and upset at what Sam and others have to go through just to be themselves. I'm so looking forward to this album. It's fabulous to watch and listen to Zane's interviews before big album releases. It adds to the excitement.
I was a mum in my early 20s when I heard Sam for the first time and found solace in your music. Now I’m in my mid 30s, my kids are lgbtq and you Sam is what we all need ❤
@@Jeremy-wp4yh stop it... If you don't like it, then go and watch something else. Don't tell people how to live as long as they don't hurt you or someone else. Also: That is English.
Sam, the first time I heard Latch, my life changed. Your voice is just perfect for disclosure’s music. I thought it was fake/auto-tuned it was so good.
I remember first hearing sam when I was in high school and to see sams journey has been incredible - such an inspiring interview, thank you both for sharing.
Finally, an interview where Sam is not receiving hate, this interview feels like a therapy session with them! They have created an incredible album, a place where we can feel safe embracing who we are, especially Sam.
Finally a recent Sam Smith RUclips video without the horrid hate comments. Sam is amazing and the new songs are bomb! Love the new style and they are shining heaps more than ever before!
Beautiful interview. Sam is my most favourite artist of all time. Such an honest, kind and talented human being. Glad they finally feel comfortable to be who they are ❤️
HE he he he…he I a he….look at the facial hair, it’s a bit of a giveaway…I would say look at the Adam’s apple but I don’t think the fat will ever recede enough to see that again 😂
What a beautiful person inside and out. It breaks my heart when they said that someone spit on them across the street, like it was the most natural thing to happen to them every day. The hate in this world needs to stop. Love from a 52-year-old mom who is currently obsessed with the beauty of your new work. I see you... and all your friends who worked together to do this magnificent thing. Xoxo
I just finished this video and now that I’ve listened to the album I automatically knew how to cry and no god was about a narcissist cuz that’s exactly how my mother acts like thank you Sam for putting music that heals and it’s time to heal what my mother put me through
I love this album so freaking much. In the Lonely Hour came out when I was in high school and I loved it. Now, at 29, I feel even more attached emotionally to Sam and am SO PROUD of them for what their doing. What they said about “it’s me - if I do it then it’s on brand” really resonates with me. I love that so much.
Sam was my first vinyl, first concert I ever attended as an adult, and just seeing them display their talent and emotion on a stage for the world being themselves was all the hope I needed at that time. 💘
Sam hit the nail on the head with their conversation about transphobia and phobias of gender neutral people in the UK 🇬🇧. It makes me scared to be myself, knowing that there may be a really threatening situation where if I go outside there are likely going to be people who don’t like the way I dress and socially approach others, so often times I don’t even bother allowing myself to have that freedom because I know it’s so different from what people expect of me. I want to change the narrative which people might have of their image expectations with me. Because that narrative isn’t just other peoples opinions - it’s my life. It’s the story of my life, which is written by me, which includes me as (without entering an excessively narcissistic pov) the main character. A story which, since I am the sole writer, gives me tremendous opportunities for power, and subsequent self respect. A story that I have decided to write, depicting myself as a happy human. Thx world :)
He gets a lot of hate but he’s different and he’s changing the game an I think that’s something that should be respected, regardless of your views, it takes courage and balls, I’m proud of him for what he’s doing, go and be you !!!
So much respect for they as a person and as a artist, the way they had to deal with gender and sexuality in the eye of the entire world!! to just get to a point where they are so free to be who they want to be, it's realy beautiful and strong yet still they seem to be a sweet person
Sam's first album was one of the last physical albums I bought because I was obsessed with discovering a queer artist at that time. I'm so proud of their journey 💜
Zane and Sam in interview was a brilliant experience and insight💜💜✨Also the importance of identifying any mental health issue such as OCD that many artists suffer when opening their hearts and minds!
Happy to hear that they are in a more comfortable and happy place. And so interesting to hear an artistic soul talk and share humbly about the art they make and how it connects to living life.
